How did Web Summit become, in the words of Forbes, “the best tech conference on the planet”? Meaningful connections. Our tech events are unmissable because we make it easier for the right people to meet and connect. Everyone at Web Summit works towards this goal.
And we’re just getting started.
We’re always looking to build on the impact we have already made at Web Summit. In the coming years we’ll take Web Summit to new markets, promoting global connectivity, highlighting important issues and connecting global leaders – all while making a positive impact on the environment and communities we encounter.
To build a better company, we have to better ourselves. We do that by finding the most ambitious people to work with us.
Imagine talking to the world's leading startups every day. We've worked with some of the planet's brightest stars including Uber, Dropbox, Stripe, Airbnb and many more. Talking to these incredible startups is exactly what our Startups Advisors do. You will be talking to entrepreneurs, learning about their businesses, and understanding how we can help them meet investors, media, partners, customers and more. In short, you'll decide which of the world's best startups will attend Web Summit and our other events like Collision and RISE.
ABOUT THE ROLE MongoDB is looking for an analytical, people-first, and execution-obsessed leader to manage our global Candidate Experience (CEx) function. In this role, you will own the end-to-end candidate journey operations across AMER, EMEA, and APAC—building a high-performing, resource-efficient team of coordinators and ensuring every candidate leaves with a positive, lasting impression, regardless of the outcome. We are looking for a strategic, data-fluent and operationally minded leader who can translate insights into executive narratives, proactively audit and re-architect workflows to ensure operational excellence and safely leverage automation and AI to scale how we work. The right leader for this role is passionate about mentoring regional leads to act like owners, navigating complex stakeholder relationships to standardize processes, and holding a relentlessly high bar for Candidate NPS and scheduling SLAs. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Lead & Scale Global Operations: Develop and lead a distributed team of Candidate Experience Leads & Coordinators across AMER, EMEA, and APAC. Cultivate an inclusive, high-trust team culture that balances regional needs with global standards * Enforce Rigorous Execution Quality: Set, monitor, and enforce performance metrics (e.g., regional scheduling SLAs, coordinator productivity, and candidate NPS). Establish robust operational safeguards to systematically prevent and quickly recover from candidate experience or scheduling breakdowns * Data-Driven Capacity Planning: Design and optimize our global operating model. Build capacity forecasts factoring in variables like interview loop complexity, time-zone overhead, and regional nuances to balance team workload without defaulting to headcount requests * Process Optimization: Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to audit workflows, eliminate administrative debt, and build consensus around standardized, highly efficient hiring processes. Proactively identify manual bottlenecks to leverage AI, automation, and modern tools with clear ROI metrics, ensuring technology supports a personalized candidate experience * Programmatic Candidate Journey Design: Take a holistic, end-to-end view of the global candidate lifecycle to identify high-impact opportunities for journey enhancement. Effectively design, build, and execute strategic programs and projects that elevate the overall candidate experience at every stage of the recruitment funnel * Translate Data for Executive Influence: Translate granular operational metrics (calendar holds, clicks, turnaround times) into high-level strategic business cases. Maintain an active reporting cadence with senior Recruiting leadership and use data to confidently navigate stakeholder pushback * Manage Vendor Relationships: Own relationships with our core scheduling technology vendors and cross-functional partners to actively monitor system performance, usage, and new feature adoption. Continuously optimize how these systems work with our global workflows WHAT YOU'LL BRING * Proven Leadership Experience: 7+ years of experience in recruiting operations, candidate experience, or talent acquisition, with at least 3 years of people management experience leading distributed or global teams across AMER, EMEA, and APAC * Data Fluency & Tactical Insights: Proven ability to pull raw operational data and use tools like Google Sheets to analyze team capacity, catch scheduling errors, and perform root-cause diagnostics. While you won’t need to build complex dashboards, you must be highly comfortable organizing and interpreting spreadsheet data to tell a clear story and drive performance * Automation & Process Design Instincts: Experience executing workflow audits and implementing AI, working with modern scheduling platforms (GoodTime, ModernLoop, Guide, Ashby etc). Strong ability to distinguish when to automate vs. when to simplify manually * Stakeholder Negotiation & Consensus: Ability to negotiate with business units to balance global standardization with essential local/functional customization * Extreme Accountability & Ownership: A proven track record of taking direct responsibility for complex program outcomes and operational failures, turning breakdowns into structural operational guardrails * Inclusive Leadership & Growth Mindset: Highly self-aware leader who welcomes constructive feedback, models intellectual honesty, and is committed to developing people and building psychologically safe, diverse teams WHY MONGODB MongoDB is built for change, empowering our customers and our people to innovate at the speed of the market.
