ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Operations Manager at Harmattan AI, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and reliable functioning of our

operations across MEA regions. You will support and execute a wide range of operational, administrative, and people-related

activities, while contributing to the structuring and continuous improvement of our internal processes.

This role requires a high level of rigor, adaptability, and ownership. You will operate in a fast-paced environment with high

standards, where attention to detail, autonomy, and a strong execution mindset are essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Driving Operational Excellence Across Locations

Own the seamless execution of day-to-day operations across Harmattan AI’s MEA regions.

Design and implement scalable, high-performance workflows spanning operations, administration, and people initiatives.

Oversee regulatory and compliance matters with precision, from insurance coverage to administrative governance, ensuring

robustness without friction.

Thriving in a Fast-Moving Environment

Operate with speed, clarity, and composure in an ever-evolving landscape.

Anticipate urgent or unexpected operational needs and respond with creativity and decisiveness.

Switch effortlessly between industry-facing operations and internal topics such as people, security, and administration.

Bring a relentless, solution-first mindset, focused on outcomes, not obstacles.

Step up proactively during high-stakes or critical moments to keep the organisation moving forward.

Orchestrating External Partnerships

Act as a trusted interface with external stakeholders: vendors, service providers, insurers, administrative bodies, and

partners.

Communicate with authority, structure, and professionalism.

Drive disciplined follow-up to ensure every commitment is met and every partnership performs at the highest standard.

REQUIREMENTS

Master’s degree preferred in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.

Professional proficiency in English, Arabic and French.

Proven exposure to operational roles requiring versatility, reliability, and high execution standards.

Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-growing environment with high expectations.

Strong organisational skills, structured thinking, and excellent written and verbal expression.

Ability to handle multiple topics in parallel without losing attention to detail.

Proactive, resourceful, and solution-oriented mindset.

Comfortable interacting with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

You will be part of a dynamic Operations team, supporting various departments to maintain efficiency and productivity in a fast-paced environment. RESPONSIBILITIES Workplace Management * Administrative Oversight: Oversee daily administrative operations, including managing office supplies and handling office correspondence. * Logistics and Mail Handling: Manage incoming and outgoing packages, postal services, and courier logistics. * Facilities Management: Ensure the office environment is constantly well-maintained and conducive to productivity. Oversee renovations, repairs, and building maintenance. * Soft Services Management: Supervise cleaning, catering, reception, and other non-technical services. Ensure high-quality food and snack offerings and monitor supply levels. * Workspace Planning & Optimisation: Proactively anticipate workspace needs and design seating and layout plans aligned with team growth. Ensure a seamless and welcoming office experience for new joiners from day one. * Process & Systems Management: Develop and maintain efficient processes to streamline office operations. Internal Events & Operations * Travel & Accommodation: Arrange domestic and international travel, including transportation and hotel bookings. * Documentation Management: Distribute and track internal/external documents requiring signature. * Event Planning: Support internal and external event coordination, from logistics to document preparation. * Strategic Support: Deliver high-impact operational support to C-level executives and key stakeholders as needed, enabling effective decision-making and execution. * Visitor Management: Greet and assist visitors or employees from other offices, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS * Educational Background: A strong academic record, ideally with a degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Office Management, or a related field. * Complex Project Management: Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and quality is maintained. * Adaptability & Mobility: Thrives under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; embraces a "no-task-is-too-small" mentality. ABOUT THE ROLE As the propulsion requirements of Harmattan increase, we are expanding our team to accelerate the development of critical hardware and software tools. You will join a high-impact, two-person team focused on building state-of-the-art motor test benches and the software infrastructure used to visualise and share results across the entire organisation. This is a practice-oriented role that bridges the gap between Python software development and physical hardware testing. RESPONSIBILITIES * System Development: Build and maintain the hardware motor test bench to measure motor, propeller, and controller performance. * Software Engineering: Develop and improve internal Python-based tools for propulsion test bench operations and data visualisation. * Data Analysis: Create scripts to calculate motor thrust requirements and manage large datasets to extrapolate performance across different hardware configurations. * Testing & Reporting: Execute motor tests, upload results to our cloud platform, and author technical reports for internal stakeholders and manufacturers. * Collaborative Design: Participate in design meetings for new platforms (e.g., fixed-wing observers), providing expertise on propulsion solutions to meet range and autonomy specifications. * Tool Democratisation: Ensure internal visualisation tools are robust and user-friendly for the wider Harmattan team. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS * Educational Background: Engineering degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Mechatronics, Programming, or a related field; self-taught learners with exceptional portfolios will be considered. * Technical Proficiency: Strong Python programming skills, specifically for data analysis, plotting, and sensor integration. * Domain Expertise: Practical understanding of propulsion physics and experience with electric propulsion systems or UAV environments. * Complex Project Management: Ability to autonomously implement important features and move testing platforms to a state-of-the-art level within the first 90 days. * Proactive Problem Solving: A critical thinker who identifies edge cases and bottlenecks rather than just following instructions. * Communication & Influence: Ability to guide R&D teams on requirements and speak effectively with manufacturers regarding prototype results. * Commitment: 100% dedication to Harmattan AI’s mission, thriving in a rapid prototyping environment where speed and methodical testing are equally vital.
