ABOUT THE ROLE You’ll build core user interfaces, APIs, and backend infrastructure. You’ll operate across the stack: designing, shipping, and maintaining everything from frontend product experiences to backend services that power strategy, data, and operations. This role is ideal for someone who likes shipping end-to-end, cares about craft, and enjoys working in a small team with high ownership. RESPONSIBILITIES * Design, build, and maintain frontend applications (web and/or mobile) and backend APIs powering core product experiences. * Work closely with research/quant and product teams to turn investment logic, simulations, and data pipelines into reliable product surfaces. * Build internal dashboards, tools, and data visualizations for monitoring portfolios, experiments, and operational workflows. * Own features end-to-end: architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, observability, and iteration. * Maintain high standards for code quality, usability, reliability, and performance. * Improve developer velocity through good systems: CI/CD, tooling, clear interfaces, and pragmatic documentation. REQUIREMENTS * 3+ years experience as a full stack engineer (startup, product team, or high-ownership environment). * Strong skills in modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (e.g., React, Next.js) and backend development (Python, Node, Go, etc.). * Experience building, testing, and deploying production web applications. * Experience designing and integrating APIs (REST and/or GraphQL), plus strong understanding of data modeling and system boundaries. * Solid fundamentals: debugging, performance, and reliability in real-world systems. * Ability to work autonomously, prioritize well, and thrive in a fast-moving, research-driven culture. * Comfort leveraging modern AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, etc.) to increase output while maintaining maintainability and structure. * (Optional) Experience with mobile development (React Native, Swift, Kotlin, Flutter). * (Optional) Experience with financial systems, portfolio data, or high-stakes UX. About the Role You’ll architect, build, and maintain the distributed systems, APIs, and backend infrastructure that power world-class AI research and deployment. Your work will enable rapid experimentation, robust data flows, and scalable compute. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in small, high-agency teams. Responsibilities * Design and implement scalable backend services, data pipelines, and APIs * Build infrastructure for high-throughput, low-latency AI/ML workflows * Set up and manage databases (SQL/NoSQL), including schema design, replication, indexing, and performance optimization * Optimize for performance, reliability, and security at every layer * Implement observability best practices (logging, tracing, monitoring, performance tuning) * Work closely with research and infra teams to support experimental velocity * Contribute to core engineering culture, including code reviews and mentorship Requirements * 3+ years building distributed systems or high-availability backends (preferably in fast-moving or high-stakes environments) * Strong proficiency in Python and at least one systems language (e.g., Go, Rust, C++) * Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, and orchestration (AWS/GCP/Azure, Docker, Kubernetes) * Database setup, management, and optimization experience (SQL/NoSQL) * Relentless focus on code quality, correctness, and performance * Comfortable leveraging modern AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, etc.) to increase productivity & code output while maintaining high code quality, maintainability, and structure Bonus – Agentic workflows / applied AI integration * Experience supporting or integrating agentic AI workflows into backend systems (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, Haystack, or custom frameworks) * Familiarity with persistence/checkpointing, streaming pipelines, and vector/knowledge store integrations Why Join ATG We're building a small, elite team. ABOUT THE ROLE We’re looking for a software engineer to help develop, launch, and maintain the first version of the ATG iOS app. This is a zero-to-one role: you’ll own the mobile experience end-to-end, from architecture to polish. Your work will directly shape how users interact with ATG, shaping the future of mobile AI experiences. As a key member of our team, you'll push the boundaries of iOS development, combining technical excellence with design finesse. From pixel-perfect UI to smooth animations and thoughtful micro-interactions, you’ll create seamless, motion-driven experiences that delight users. If you excel in building high-quality, intuitive, and visually stunning apps, this role is for you. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Architect and ship our first iOS app—from private beta to App Store release. * Implement core features with fluid UI, high performance, and scalable client infrastructure. * Collaborate closely with the founders, product, and design on prototyping, and product direction. * Build testing pipelines (unit tests, CI/CD) to keep reliability high while moving fast. * Deploy platform-level improvements (real-time syncing, on-device ML, efficient data flow). * Iterate quickly on new iOS experiences that make AI useful, intuitive, and delightful in every user’s pocket. * Prioritize performance, reliability, and responsiveness to deliver best-in-class mobile experiences.
