ABOUT SIX ROBOTICS
At Six Robotics, we build intelligent software that gives Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) the ability to collaborate, adapt on the
fly, and execute missions that were previously impossible.
From our base in Oslo, our team of 90+ engineers, researchers, and defence specialists develops our autonomy and swarm platform,
used by both government and industry. Working closely with the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI) and end users, we
move quickly from ideas to field deployment, solving problems where software meets the real world.
The challenges we work on don’t come with existing playbooks. They demand deep technical thinking, close collaboration across
disciplines, and the ability to learn quickly as both the technology and the company evolve.
At Six Robotics, every person executes with precision, adapts to changing conditions, and strengthens the team. If you’re excited
about building systems that matter and growing alongside talented people that push boundaries every day, you’ll find no better
place to deliver real-world impact.
ABOUT THE ROLE
At Six Robotics, our product department is built around a clear flow: needs emerge from our customers, are shaped into product
features, and are then translated into engineering-ready functionality. As we scale, we are strengthening our Product Team to own
this flow end-to-end. This role will build and own the bridge between these domains, ensuring that what we ship is not driven by
ad-hoc requests, but by validated needs from the field, strong technical context, and disciplined product decisions.
As a Product Manager at Six Robotics, you will turn complex project needs, field feedback, and long-term strategy into a coherent,
executable product direction. This is a hands-on, operational product role at the center of engineering, projects, and real-world
UAV operations.
You will help define where our software product, Valkyrie, is going. Defining what gets built, and why, without abstracting away
the reality and context the engineering teams need to succeed and understand.
This role is critical in bringing stability, clarity, and long-term focus to how Valkyrie evolves, while still adapting to
real-world demands from customers, field operations, and live deployments.
You will work closely with the other Product Managers and report to the Chief of Product, bringing clarity to our Engineering Team
Leads, release and project management, acting as the bridge that ensures we build the right capabilities, at the right time, for
the right reasons.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Translate project and customer requirements into actionable product features: prioritize, scope, and refine features so
engineering can execute with clarity and confidence.
- Shape the product roadmap alongside the Head of Product: contribute to the vision, break it down into a detailed plan, and
ensure it drives meaningful, deliverable work.
- Bring clarity to engineering to ensure we build the right features: minimize product debt, reduce ad-hoc feature work, and
safeguard long-term product quality.
- Own operational product execution: track progress, manage priorities, and follow up on releases to keep product development
structured and predictable.
- Maintain product clarity and coherence: oversee trade-offs, dependencies, and release content to ensure each feature delivers
real value internally before reaching engineering.
- Validate and refine assumptions in the field: work and test the features with our field teams, to understand real-world
performance and feed insights back into product decisions.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for someone with exceptional structure and decision-making skills. We believe this person can confidently say no
when needed, set direction, and still listen deeply to both the team and the customer.
You thrive in ambiguity, bringing discipline and method where things feel uncertain, and you take ownership not just of your own
work, but across teams and interfaces. You are comfortable challenging customers constructively, asking why they want something,
and translating that into what is actually feasible and valuable for engineering to build.
At the same time, you are hands-on, willing to dive into the details when necessary, without ever losing sight of priorities or
long-term outcomes.
WE BELIEVE THE RIGHT CANDIDATE BRINGS
- Strong understanding of the full product lifecycle - from requirements and specification to delivery, validation, and
iteration.
- Strong background in building software products, with the ability to collaborate with engineers while keeping problems concrete
and solvable.
- Experience in structuring and governing product flow - balancing prioritization, planning, dependencies, and release
coordination.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex customer needs into clear engineering context, without
losing the bigger picture.
NICE-TO-HAVES:
WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN
- Build at the edge of what’s possible: You’ll work on problems the industry hasn’t solved yet, alongside people who are pushing
the boundaries of autonomy, AI, and robotics.
- Grow as fast as the company: We believe that chance favours those in motion. The role you’re hired into is just the starting
point. As Six Robotics evolves, so will your scope, your responsibilities, and your opportunities.
- Work with exceptional people: Surround yourself with people who raise your own standards. You’ll join a team of ambitious
engineers and operators who care deeply about the quality of their work. Expectations are high, but so is the willingness to
help each other improve.
- Ship work that matters. The things you build don't stay in a demo environment. They get deployed, tested, and used where
reliability and performance genuinely matter.
- Supported by great benefits. Alongside meaningful work, we offer competitive compensation, equity potential, strong pension and
insurance plans, gadget budgets, modern equipment, panoramic offices, and the flexibility you need to do your best work.
OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS
We want hiring to be transparent and respectful of your time. We aim to move with momentum while making thoughtful hiring
decisions - because every new team member matters.
Our process typically includes:
- Second interview (60–90 min): A technical discussion/Case interview, typically including a take-home assignment with a case
presentation.
Reference checks are conducted before an offer is finalized. We review applications continuously, so don't leave us hanging. Send
us your application today!
OUR COMMITMENT TO INCLUSION
At Six Robotics, we are committed to creating a workplace built on respect, integrity, and collaboration. We value different
perspectives and experiences, and we believe that diversity within our team strengthens both our work and our culture. We
encourage all qualified candidates to apply and help us build technology that makes a real impact.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT
All employees at Six Robotics must be eligible for security clearance. Some roles might require a high level of clearance,
depending on the nature of the work. If you are hired, we’ll guide you through any required authorization or clearance process as
part of your onboarding. Previous authorization or clearance is not required, but all candidates must be eligible to obtain the
necessary approvals if required for their role.
