Engineering.
As an Engineering Manager, your mission will be to lead the Reliability & Observability team and drive the evolution of Doctolib's
observability platform, supporting the exponential growth of Doctolib services while building and empowering a world-class SRE
team.
Working in the tech team at Doctolib involves building innovative products and features to improve the daily lives of care teams
and patients. We work in feature teams in an agile environment, while collaborating with product, design, and business teams.
You will lead a team of Site Reliability Engineers who are responsible for shaping Doctolib's observability strategy and ensuring
our platform remains reliable, debuggable, and scalable. This role sits at the intersection of people management, technical
leadership, and strategic planning with a particular focus on building organizational capabilities around logging, metrics,
tracing, and alerting.
Your team also owns and operates critical transversal services that enable secure, scalable infrastructure management across the
organization, including HashiCorp Vault for secrets management and Terraform Enterprise for infrastructure as code.

About our Engineering Department The Engineering team (~12 people) builds and scales the technical foundations that power Aqemia’s drug discovery engine. Bringing together expertise across software engineering, cloud infrastructure, data engineering, site reliability engineering (SRE), and scientific computing, the team designs and operates robust, secure, and high-performance platforms that enable Aqemia’s scientific and AI teams to experiment, train, deploy, and run models at scale. Their work spans data infrastructure, scientific compute systems, cloud operations, orchestration, observability, CI/CD, developer tooling, and platform scalability. By transforming cutting-edge research into reliable and scalable systems, the team accelerates the discovery of new medicines while ensuring operational excellence and an outstanding developer experience. As Engineering Manager of the Compute team, you will lead a team of 5 engineers responsible for building and evolving the compute platform that powers AQEMIA's scientific simulations, machine learning workloads, and large-scale experimentation. This position is a permanent contract (CDI) based in Paris. 💼 ABOUT THE JOB Own and scale the data platform * Build, maintain, and improve our data warehouse, transformation layer, and platform architecture (including the critical link between PostgreSQL and our GCP data lake) to make our stack faster, more reliable, and more resilient. Raise engineering standards across the data stack * Drive CI/CD practices, staging environments, automated testing, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), access management, and release management — bringing a platform engineering mindset to data. Ensure observability and platform reliability * Lead incident management, data quality monitoring, lineage, and documentation efforts to ensure the platform remains trustworthy and easy to operate for analysts, product teams, and AI practitioners. We are looking for an engineer driven by technical curiosity, who loves exploring new tools and technologies to continuously elevate our engineering standards. This is a full-time position, based in Paris or fully remote in France. 💼 ABOUT THE JOB * Own and continuously optimize our CI/CD pipelines and delivery workflows, ensuring fast feedback loops and secure deployments. * Build and evolve the local developer experience, making it seamless for engineers to spin up, test, and debug services locally across a variety of languages and frameworks. * Own and maintain part of our cloud infrastructure and container orchestration platforms using Terraform and Kubernetes. And it will be nice if you also * Have production-grade proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (not necessarily Terraform) and container orchestration (not necessarily Kubernetes). * Are familiar with an observability and monitoring stack (Datadog, Prometheus, or equivalent). * Have worked with local development environment tooling (Nix, mise, asdf, devenv, devcontainers, etc.). * Working knowledge of at least one language from Alma's stack (Python, TypeScript, or PHP), enough to read, debug, and contribute when needed.
