As Counsel, Litigation & Risk Management, you will help lead the company’s response to employment- related and operational
disputes, and help proactively manage legal risk across a large, multi-state care network. You will partner closely with both HQ
and Care operations teams to address pre-litigation disputes and litigation, provide practical advice on employment and compliance
issues, and build scalable processes that reduce risk and support compliant growth.
This role is critical to ensuring that Honor navigates an increasingly complex regulatory and litigation landscape while
continuing to operate efficiently and compassionately at scale. You will have the opportunity to directly influence business
practices, shape risk mitigation strategies, and work at the intersection of legal, operations, and technology.
This is a remote role. Occasional time-sensitive matters may require responsiveness outside of standard business hours or travel.
The Care Platform Legal team provides practical legal support to Honor’s operations, People team, and leadership across a
multi-state workforce. In this role, you will work closely with the Vice President, Deputy General Counsel (Care, Litigation &
Employment) and a Risk Management & Litigation Specialist. You will also be part of the broader Legal, Standards, and Advocacy
team, working collaboratively to support and advise on matters across the company.

The annual base salary range for this role is $171,900 - $191,000. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the
candidate's experience and qualifications.
Base pay is just one part of our total rewards program. Honor offers equity and 401K with up to a 4% match. We provide medical,

Job Description We are looking for a Claims Manager responsible for proactively identifying, managing, and resolving high-value and high-risk claims and disputes at an early stage, with focus on minimizing total cost and protecting the company’s commercial and reputational interests. The role covers end-to-end management of all incoming and outgoing claims across operational, contractual, warranty, and insurance-related matters, ensuring outcomes support revenue continuity, enable recoveries, and provide clear decision-support to senior management. The Claims Manager will lead claim strategy development and execution in close collaboration with Engineering, Asset Management, Commercial, Legal, Insurance, and Operations functions. This includes analyzing claims from commercial, technical, legal, and supplier perspectives, driving aligned resolution strategies, and presenting recommendations to internal decision-making bodies. The role also involves managing stakeholder engagement and dispute resolution, including coordination with legal advisors, insurers, and external consultants in cases involving arbitration or formal disputes. The Claims Manager advises internal teams on claim status and mitigation strategies and participates in resolving disputes with clients, contractors, and suppliers. In addition, the role is responsible for claims monitoring, governance, and reporting, ensuring all claims are tracked, documented, and communicated accurately. This includes maintaining strong contract administration practices, ensuring compliance with internal policies, and supporting informed management decisions through structured reporting. Operationally, the Claims Manager supports commercial teams with supplier-related claims and provides guidance on contractual interpretation and dispute avoidance across functions. The role also ensures adherence to governance frameworks and may be assigned additional responsibilities by the Head of Warranty & Claims Management. You will report directly to the Head of Legal. Your responsibilities: * Partner with the Head of Legal, ensuring the company complies with all relevant laws and regulations, in France as well as in other countries, Joko may be made available in the future. * Take any relevant action to prevent the company from litigation. Collaborate with the Head of Legal if any litigation eventually comes out. * Be the go-to person when it comes to drafting or reviewing contracts for all aspects of Joko’s activity: employees, freelancers, merchant partners, suppliers, terms and conditions, etc.; * In coordination with the Head of Legal, our DPO and our Product team, take our GDPR compliance to the next level, implementing privacy by design and improving our current processes (data treatment register, privacy policy, IT security routines…) * Ensure thorough oversight of all aspects of corporate law events, including BSPCE allocations and exercises, general shareholders’ assemblies, board meetings, and cap table management; * Along with our Head of Legal and external advisor, make sure we have strong IP management procedures, including follow-up on domain names, trademarks, and competitive intelligence; * Support the Head of Legal in coordinating the legal aspect of the international expansion of the company, especially in the US, where Joko is already available. 👀 WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR * Education: You have a Master's degree from a Tier 1 law university with a specialization in private law. Having passed the bar is a plus. * Experience: You have at least 2 years of experience but ideally 5 as a lawyer, including experience in a top law firm. * You possess knowledge and experience either in negotiating contracts, GDPR and personal data management or Corporate lawy. Additionally, you are adept at preventing and handling legal litigations of any kind. * Languages: You are fluent in French and English, both written and spoken, as we are expanding internationally. * Communication: You have excellent analytical and synthesis skills, and you know how to explain complex topics in a simple way.
