What you will get to do * Build and maintain robust data pipelines processing large volumes of data * Analysis of large data sets using tools such as Python & SQL * Update and optimize our data platform for speed, scalability and cost * Coordinate with different functional teams to understand and meet their data needs * Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy * Solve general data-related problems * Setting up new pipelines for the full stream/enrichment/curation process * Upkeep of source code locations * Investigating and utilising ML & AI to improve the cloud offering * Development of junior staff members To succeed in this role, you should have * Proven experience as a Data Engineer (5-7+ years, can be made up for with accomplishments) * Strong Leadership experience * Strong problem solving skills * Advanced proficiency with SQL * Proficiency with Python * Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. Google Cloud, AWS, Azure) * Experience using version control tools such as git * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques * A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or any other related field Experience with the following would be a plus * Data governance * Building and deploying machine learning models * Terraform or other infrastructure as code tools What we can offer you * Culture - We put our people first and prioritize the well-being of every team member. Kickstarter is seeking an experienced Senior Product Designer, Mobile to lead the re-imagination and evolution of our mobile apps. You will own the full design lifecycle for our iOS and Android platforms, working with cross-functional partners to deliver seamless experiences for our global community. Ideal candidates bring a background in designing consumer-facing mobile products with international checkout experiences, with an eye toward engagement and retention, especially those including storytelling, user-generated content, search and discovery, video, and payments. The salary for this role in the United States is $158,393. In this role, you will: * Define interaction and visual design standards for our mobile products. * Design user-centric experiences that balance user needs and business goals, can scale, and translate globally. * Own and evolve our mobile design system. * Provide an international design perspective within our product org. * Actively partner with our research team to conduct and analyze user research. * Work with teams across Kickstarter as the company works toward building a mature ecosystem that serves our community of Creators and Backers. * Collaborate with partners on cross-functional teams to ensure alignment where appropriate. About You * You have solid professional experience leading design for mobile apps across iOS and Android platforms. * Your portfolio shows a proven track record of designing thoughtful, engaging, and highly usable mobile experiences. * You are knowledgeable of platform-specific design patterns and conventions across iOS and Android. * You have experience designing experiences for consumers in North America, Europe, and Asia. * You have experience designing with international privacy laws and regulations in mind. * Experience designing for commerce based companies with international checkout experiences * You are an excellent communicator. * You have the ability to consistently frame, explain and support your design decisions with peers and stakeholders, as well as deeply understand their feedback. * You have strengths in information architecture, interaction design, and visual design. * You are comfortable using both formal and informal methods to gather and give feedback. * You have experience with design programs like Figma, and are comfortable prototyping. * You empathize with our Creator and Backer communities and recognize how both contribute to Kickstarter’s ecosystem. * You recognize the challenges of the creative process and bringing projects to life. ABOUT THE ROLE Everway's portfolio spans more than 20 products and ecosystems. As we continue to grow organically and through acquisition, we are building a shared platform foundation that enables products to work together seamlessly and creates a more unified experience for customers. Identity and Access sits at the centre of that strategy. In this role, you will define the product direction for the capabilities that establish and manage identity across the Everway ecosystem, including authentication, authorisation, SSO, provisioning, rostering, and user lifecycle management. You'll work closely with engineering, architecture, security, data, and product teams to shape platform strategy, make informed technical trade-offs, and ensure these services provide a scalable foundation for secure access, interoperability, analytics, and future platform initiatives. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES In this role, you will: * Define and maintain the long-term vision and roadmap for Identity and Access capabilities across the Everway platform. * Make prioritisation decisions based on customer impact, platform leverage, business outcomes, technical constraints, and evidence. * Lead the evolution from multiple legacy identity systems towards a unified platform foundation, including migration and adoption strategies. * Partner with engineering, architecture, and security teams on scalability, reliability, and build-versus-buy decisions. * Treat internal product and engineering teams as customers, providing clear platform capabilities, interfaces, and self-service experiences. * Translate strategy into measurable outcomes and iterative delivery plans while balancing innovation, reliability, security, and operational excellence. * Steward support for identity, authentication, and education interoperability standards, ensuring Everway remains secure and interoperable. * Partner with data, analytics, and AI teams to enable cross-product reporting, insights, and future platform capabilities. * Align stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Security, Design, and Commercial teams through influence and clear communication. * Contribute to product management practices and support the continued growth of platform product capabilities across Everway. ESSENTIAL CRITERIA * 5+ years of product management experience, including ownership of complex platform, infrastructure, or technical products. * Experience defining strategy and roadmaps for multi-stakeholder domains and delivering measurable customer and business outcomes. * Comfortable participating in discussions around APIs, integrations, distributed systems, and platform architecture, and making informed product trade-off decisions. * Experience defining platform capabilities, interfaces, services, or products consumed by internal teams or external developers. * Ability to balance customer needs, technical constraints, scalability, and business priorities when making product decisions. * Experience influencing engineering, architecture, security, data, and business stakeholders without formal authority. * Communicates clearly with technical and non-technical audiences and can translate complex concepts into practical business outcomes. * Uses AI-enabled tools and workflows to improve research, analysis, prioritisation, communication, or product development practices. DESIRABLE CRITERIA * Experience in Identity and Access Management, including concepts such as SSO, SAML, OIDC, OAuth, SCIM, RBAC, or multi-tenancy. * Experience within EdTech or education software environments. * Familiarity with education data and rostering standards such as OneRoster, Clever, ClassLink, Feide, Skolon, or UniLogin. * Experience leading platform modernisation, consolidation, migration, or post-acquisition integration initiatives. * Familiarity with cloud platforms and architecture patterns, ideally AWS. * Experience working with analytics platforms, customer data systems, or modern data platforms. * Awareness of education-sector compliance and privacy requirements, including GDPR, FERPA, or COPPA. * Experience mentoring product managers or contributing to product operating models.
