This role is about shaping how People Operations supports that journey. You’ll bring clarity, care and consistency to the employee
experience, from onboarding and everyday support through to people programs, systems and the moments that matter most.
You’ll own the day-to-day running of People Operations end-to-end, from onboarding and employee queries through to core programs,
compliance, payroll inputs, systems and vendor coordination, helping everything run smoothly and without unnecessary friction.
This role sits at the intersection of strong HR fundamentals and operational thinking. You’ll be hands-on, trusted to improve
workflows, build better ways of working and reduce manual work over time using systems, data and automation where it makes sense.
This is a builder role for someone who enjoys spotting what feels unclear, repetitive or overly manual, and turning it into
something simpler, more thoughtful and more effective.
The right person will care as much about people as they do about how things run. You’ll notice where employees or managers

As an Senior Account Manager you’ll play a key role in maximize our partners performance on the Wolt platform. THE ROLE_ // We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll & Expenses Specialist to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our day-to-day financial operations, taking ownership of end-to-end payroll processing, managing employee expense platforms, and maintaining accurate financial compliance. As an Specialist, you will act as a key point of contact for employee queries regarding payroll and expenses, ensuring our global team is supported efficiently. You will bring a hands-on approach to data integrity, cross-departmental collaboration, and process efficiency, ensuring our foundational finance functions run smoothly and scalably. LOCATION_ // This role is available in a fully remote model for candidates based in Romania. RESPONSIBILITIES_ Payroll Management & Administration * Apply necessary payroll changes to relevant platforms to ensure data is ready for review and approval by the Employer of Record (EOR) across multiple jurisdictions (UK, USA, PASSENGER, EOR, RO). * Act as the primary payroll cover to ensure continuity of business operations. * Prepare pension files and handle the monthly management of AXA benefits when they are processed through payroll. * Lead the creation, administration, and internal communication regarding P11D forms, and assist with PAYE Settlement Agreement (PSA) data collection. * Act as the go-to contact for all employee payroll-related questions. Expense & Platform Management * Oversee expense processing across Expensify, EOR platforms, and Navan. * Monitor and track company policy allowances, approving expenses in strict accordance with internal guidelines. * Input and update project codes and manager assignments within Expensify, actively seeking manager approvals when required. * Manage financial coding, including accurate processing of VAT. * Generate and distribute Navan utilization and expense reporting. * Resolve everyday employee queries regarding the expense process. Corporate Cards & Supplier Payments * Collate, review, and track expenses on behalf of company credit card users, managing monthly communications and chasing cardholders for outstanding or completed reports. * Manage credit card accruals and correct VAT codes upon receipt of material evidence. * Prepare supplier aging reports and the weekly payment run for review by the Financial Controlling Associate. Tax, Audit & Compliance Support * Collate tax documentation and expense data to support international operations (e.g. Romania tax compliance). * Support our auditors with data across your areas of responsibility. ABOUT YOU_ // We’re looking for someone with a proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit, with experience in the following areas: * A baseline conceptual understanding of UK payroll (cycles, pension preparation, payrolled benefits admin, etc.), including employee and employer National Insurance, tax, and benefits processed via P11Ds. Direct hands-on payroll processing experience is not necessarily required. * Comfortable navigating and managing tools like Expensify, Navan, or equivalent EOR/expense tracking software, along with working comfort in Excel or Google Sheets. * Attention to detail, particularly around VAT coding, policy compliance, and data reconciliation. * Regular day-to-day use of AI tools, with a habit of questioning and verifying AI-generated output rather than accepting it at face value. * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments and support employees with empathy and clarity. Working across the engineering organisation, you’ll act as a senior technical leader within the payments domain: contributing to architecture, guiding complex decisions and helping teams build scalable, resilient systems that support millions of journeys worldwide. The role suits someone who can move between system-level thinking and implementation, who understands trade-offs, can navigate ambiguity and helps turn complex or loosely defined problems into clear, practical technical approaches. LOCATION_ // This role is available in a fully remote model for candidates based in Romania RESPONSIBILITIES_ * Shape the technical direction of Masabi’s payments platform, contributing to architecture, standards and engineering best practices * Design and deliver scalable, secure, resilient and cost-effective payment solutions aligned with Masabi’s platform direction * Support teams in building towards a modern, microservices-based architecture while balancing delivery priorities and long-term platform health * Stay close to technical delivery through architecture reviews, design discussions and targeted hands-on contribution where needed * Identify and work through complex technical challenges related to scalability, resilience, operational performance and system evolution * Act as a senior technical advisor across engineering teams, supporting and influencing technical decisions, particularly within the payments domain * Work with external providers and payment partners on integrations, technical alignment and problem-solving * Contribute to technical roadmap planning, prioritisation, technical scoping and architecture discussions for complex initiatives * Produce clear technical documentation and contribute to engineering standards, technical forums and good practices across the organisation ABOUT YOU_ * Strong experience working on payment systems, including integrations with PSPs, gateways or acquirers * Good understanding of payment flows, transaction lifecycles and system design considerations * Experience designing and evolving distributed systems and microservices architectures * You’ve operated at Principal or Staff level, shaping technical direction across multiple teams or domains * Strong judgement and the ability to balance short-term delivery with long-term architectural outcomes * Comfortable navigating ambiguity and turning complex problems into clear, practical technical approaches * Clear and thoughtful communicator, able to engage both technical and non-technical audiences * Comfortable being hands-on where needed, while maintaining a focus on system-level impact * You have strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and modern infrastructure practices * You’ve worked on systems where scale, reliability, performance and cost trade-offs matter, and can navigate those decisions thoughtfully * You’ve contributed to engineering standards, architecture patterns or platform direction * Interest in or exposure to AI-enabled systems, particularly understanding architectural implications in production NICE TO HAVE_ * Experience with transit payments (e.g. contactless EMV, tap-to-ride systems) * Familiarity with card schemes (e.g. Visa, Mastercard, Interac) * Experience working in complex, multi-service or event-driven architectures * Familiarity with a range of tools and technologies including: * Development: Kotlin, Java * Data storage: DynamoDB, MySQL * Infrastructure as code and CI/CD: Terraform, GitLab CI/CD // You don’t need to have experience in every area listed above.
