We are a small but mighty Treasury team building out a world-class, tech-centric Treasury function to support Pinterest's next phase of growth. As we scale globally, we're modernizing how Treasury operates — leveraging automation, AI, and best-in-class systems to drive smarter decisions and stronger financial outcomes. As a member of our growing team, you will play a key role in helping us streamline operations and shape the future of Treasury at Pinterest. Because we're building this function from the ground up, the role offers broad impact across virtually every area of Treasury, along with significant opportunities for exposure and learning. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional partners — including Accounting, Tax, and Legal — gaining visibility into a wide range of workstreams. Join us to help shape the future within the Treasury team at one of the world's most inspiring platforms.   What you’ll do: * Lead global cash management activities and optimize liquidity across geographies, leveraging knowledge of intercompany relationships, funding strategies, and global banking operations. * Prepare and deliver regular liquidity and yield reporting to management. * Support payment operations, subsidiary funding, and FX settlements. * Manage banking infrastructure, including account openings, closures, maintenance, and administration of online banking systems. * Sustain Treasury Management System (TMS) implementation and ongoing optimization. * Drive operational excellence by developing and maintaining best-in-class treasury processes and controls, leveraging automation and AI-enabled solutions to support Pinterest's growth. * Verify strict adherence to internal treasury policies, procedures, and financial controls. * Ensure SOX compliance and integrity of SEC and statutory reporting. * Prepare and submit FBAR filings. * Support internal and external audit requests related to treasury activities. * Produce reports and presentations for Executive Management and the Board of Directors. * Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses to support strategic decision-making across the finance organization. * Partner with internal and external teams on all M&A activity, including due diligence and post-acquisition integration. * Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, Tax, Legal, IT, and Business Units to support global operations. * Foster strong relationships with strategic external partners — including banks, lenders, brokers, and asset managers — as well as internal stakeholders.   What we’re looking for: * Minimum of 3 years of experience in treasury highly preferred. * BA/BS in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Economics; MBA or CTP/CPA/CFA preferred. * Direct experience working with corporate insurance programs, banking operations, and foreign exchange is a plus. * Experience with Tableau is a BIG plus. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to plan and execute at both strategic and tactical levels. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead through influence. * Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth, dynamic environment. * A superior work ethic and dedication to the highest standards of work quality and job excellence. * Our PinFlex future of work philosophy requires this role to visit the San Francisco office regularly at the following cadences for collaboration, ideation, and cross-functional partnerships: * For employees not located within a commutable distance from this in-office touchpoint, Pinterest will cover T&E. ABOUT THE ROLE Cloudflare is looking for a Director of Strategic Finance & Investor Relations to serve as a key leader on our Investor Relations team and a trusted partner to the CFO, CEO, and senior leadership. This role reports to the VP of Strategic Finance, Treasury, Deal Desk, & Investor Relations and is the engine room of how Cloudflare tells its financial story to the public markets — translating one of the most differentiated technology platforms in the world into a clear, credible, and compelling investment narrative. You will own the end-to-end quarterly earnings cycle, drive our long-term financial model and consensus discipline, partner directly with the CFO and senior leadership on guidance, and lead the analytical and communications work behind every major investor and analyst touchpoint — quarterly calls, conferences, our annual Investor Day, and ad-hoc executive projects. You will be the connective tissue between Finance, Accounting, Legal, Communications, Product, Sales, and the executive team, and the person who makes sure every number, every claim, and every word we put in front of Wall Street is accurate. This is a high-visibility, high-ownership role on a very lean IR team. We move fast, we ship work that goes directly to the CEO, CFO, Board, and public markets, and we hold ourselves to an exceptionally high bar on accuracy — and we are AI-native in how we work, treating modern tooling as a force multiplier on insight, productivity, and rigor. WHAT YOU’LL DO As the Director, Strategic Finance & Investor Relations, you will be the operational and analytical lead for Cloudflare's engagement with the public markets. Your primary responsibilities will include: Quarterly earnings and consensus management * Own the end-to-end quarterly earnings process: press release, supplemental financial information, prepared remarks (CEO and CFO scripts), Q&A prep, investor deck, and supporting validation work. * Partner with the CFO and senior leadership to develop the company's guidance (including share count forecasting) and own the executive-facing materials that frame guidance decisions, sensitivity ranges, and the trade-offs in how we communicate them. * Lead the Q&A preparation process — anticipated questions, suggested answers, peer transcript triangulation, key stats and proof points, and live-call backup material. * Lead the post-earnings analyst callback program, including coordinating callbacks with ~30 sell-side analysts across CEO and CFO sessions. * Drive earnings materials validation — the cross-check pass that ensures every figure, claim, and disclosure across the press release, supplemental, scripts, Q&A, deck, 10-Q, and 10-K ties out and is internally and externally consistent. Investor engagement and external communications * Serve as a primary point of contact for sell-side analysts and institutional investors; build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with our covering analysts and shareholders. * Articulate the Cloudflare investment narrative — our connectivity cloud strategy, the Workers and Developer Platform story, and our long-term financial model — in a way that is both compelling and credible. * Plan and execute the calendar of investor events: sell-side conferences, one-on-ones, on-site investor visits, and our annual Investor Day. * Prepare the CEO, CFO, and other senior executives for every investor interaction with tailored briefing materials, talking points, and Q&A prep. * Develop and maintain core IR collateral: investor presentation, fact sheets, IR website content, and board-of-directors investor update materials. Investor Day and special projects * Co-lead the planning and execution of our annual Investor Day — invite tracker and registration management, co-author all presentation content and prepared remarks across all presenters, own the supporting documentation, validation, day-of logistics, and post-event follow-through. * Lead select strategic finance projects: peer benchmarking analyses, long-range financial modeling, competitive analyses, and ad-hoc executive-level financial analyses. Cross-functional partnership and analytics * Be a trusted partner to Finance, Accounting, Legal, Communications, FP&A, and the executive team — the person who knows where every number comes from and what it means. * Monitor and synthesize analyst coverage, peer performance, investor sentiment, market dynamics, and industry trends; provide actionable insights to the CFO, CEO, and Board of Directors. * Build and maintain the internal analytical infrastructure that powers the function — the models, dashboards, trackers, and validation systems that let a small team operate at scale. * Drive the IR function's use of AI-native tooling and automation, treating modern tools as a force multiplier on insight, productivity, accuracy, and stakeholder communications. EXAMPLES OF DESIRABLE SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE To succeed in this role, you should be a strategic thinker with deep financial acumen, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, an ownership mindset, and a genuine intellectual curiosity about both the business and the public markets. Specifically: * * 10+ years of experience combining investor relations, equity research, investment banking, FP&A, corporate finance, or equity investing — ideally with meaningful time in-house at a high-growth public technology company. * Deep technical fluency with public-company reporting, financial statements, capital markets, valuation methodologies, and SaaS / consumption-based revenue models. Comfort debating modeling assumptions and valuation mechanics. * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills — including the ability to draft in the voice of senior executives, translate complex technical or financial concepts into clear narratives for non-technical audiences, and operate confidently in high-stakes external communications. * Advanced financial modeling skills — fluency in building, maintaining, and stress-testing operating models, share-count and dilution forecasts, guidance sensitivity analyses, and consensus benchmarks. * An ownership mindset — comfort owning a process end-to-end, driving operational structure in a fast-paced environment, and operating with the integrity and accuracy demanded by external disclosure. * High-trust collaboration — the ability to build credibility quickly with senior internal stakeholders (CFO, CEO, Board, Legal, Accounting, FP&A) and external stakeholders (sell-side analysts, institutional investors). * AI-native curiosity and skill — fluency with modern AI tooling and a track record of using it to amplify your impact.
