WHO WE ARE Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion. Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work. ABOUT THE ROLE: Notion is looking for an Early Career Recruiter who wants to reimagine what early career hiring can look like. This is a role for a builder: someone energized by the question of how to find and cultivate exceptional emerging talent, who gets excited about crafting programs and experiences that don't yet exist, and who sees employer brand, candidate experience, and assessment design in an AI era as creative problems worth obsessing over. You'll own Notion's early career strategy end-to-end alongside a team of talented teammates — from how we reach communities to how we evaluate potential, develop talent, and convert interns and new grads into the next generation of Notinos. You'll work closely with our Engineering, Product, Design, Sales, and People teams. This role can be based in either San Francisco or New York City. We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to work alongside the team during those days. WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE: * A differentiated early career engine — design and run recruiting programs (internships, new grad pipelines, 0-2 years from school pipelines) that are durable, scalable, and distinctly Notion * New models for talent discovery — beyond traditional campus funnels; experiment with communities, hackathons, open-source, AI-native sourcing tools, and creative outreach that meets candidates where they are * Inspired evaluation frameworks — challenge conventional interview loops; build assessments that reveal how early career candidates think, learn, and create — not just what they already know * A compelling employer brand presence — partner with Comms, Design, and People to articulate why Notion is the best place to launch a career, and bring that story to life across channels, events, and touchpoints * Hiring team capability — coach and equip hiring managers and interviewers to assess early career talent with nuance, fairness, and high standards SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING: * 2+ years of recruiter experience, with meaningful exposure to early career, university, or program-based hiring * A builder mentality — you're most energized when creating something new, not managing something established * Genuine curiosity about how to find and evaluate emerging talent; you're always experimenting with new sourcing channels, assessment formats, and candidate engagement strategies * Strong instincts for employer brand and candidate experience — you think about how every touchpoint shapes perception and builds (or erodes) trust * The ability to move between strategy and execution; you can design a program and then run it * Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills with candidates, hiring teams, and cross-functional partners * Comfort with data — you use it to make decisions, spot patterns, and make the case for what's working NICE TO HAVES: * You've built or contributed to an early career program from scratch * You've experimented with non-traditional sourcing or evaluation approaches and can speak to what you learned * You're deeply familiar with the early career talent landscape in engineering and technical roles * You use Notion and love it — you get what we're building Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For roles based in San Francisco or New York City, the estimated base salary range for this role is $135,000 - $151,000 per year. By clicking “Submit Application”, I understand and agree that Notion and its affiliates and subsidiaries will collect and process my information in accordance with Notion’s Global Recruiting Privacy Policy and NYLL 144. #LI-Onsite A NOTE ON AI You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on. EQUAL OPPORTUNITY & ACCOMMODATIONS We hire talented people from a wide range of backgrounds. If you’re excited about this role but don’t meet every bullet, we still encourage you to apply. Notion is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of any legally protected characteristic. Notion provides reasonable accommodations during the application process; if you need one, please let your recruiter know. Notion is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. ABOUT THE ROLE: As the Head of Early Career Recruiting, you'll own and scale our early career strategy across Notion. We've built real momentum on the engineering side — now we're ready to grow that into something bigger, expanding our early talent footprint meaningfully across the business. You'll partner with leaders across the company, university communities, and the broader talent marketplace to attract emerging talent who excel in craft and share our values. You set a high bar, you know the early career market well — university recruiting, internship conversion, emerging pipelines — and you're genuinely AI-first in how you work, always looking for ways to make the team faster and better. This role can be based in either San Francisco or New York City. We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We're looking for someone who's excited to work alongside the team during those days. WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE: * Define and own the global early career recruiting strategy — spanning internship programs, new grad hiring, and early-in-career pipelines across the business — translating priorities into a clear talent plan that scales across functions and regions. * Manage and develop a high-performing team of early career recruiters — setting the bar and coaching to it consistently. * Serve as a strategic advisor to business leaders — bringing market intelligence, early career compensation insights, and a clear point of view on emerging talent, whether they're coming from campus, a first job, or somewhere in between. * Lead the adoption of AI tools, workflows, and automation across the early career recruiting function — driving meaningful change in how the team sources, assesses, and closes talent. * Design and continuously improve the programs, processes, and infrastructure that allow us to hire with speed without sacrificing bar — including internship program design, conversion strategy, offer frameworks, and intern-to-FTE pipelines. * Establish and own the early career metrics that matter — conversion rates, quality of hire, source mix, time to offer — and use them to drive decisions. * Partner with Storytelling to sharpen our employer value proposition across the early talent community — positioning Notion as a destination for the next generation of world-class talent, wherever they're discovering us. * Partner with Notion's Ambassador Program to build community and connective tissue between early talent and the broader Notion ecosystem — turning advocates into pipelines and relationships into hires. SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING: * 4+ years of recruiting leadership experience with a focus on early career hiring — spanning university recruiting, internship programs, new graduate pipelines, and early-in-career hiring across functions. * A fresh perspective on how early talent is best attracted and assessed — from build challenges and work trials to the ways people just entering the workforce discover and evaluate companies — and the curiosity to keep evolving that view as the landscape changes. * Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing early career teams and programs in fast-moving, high-growth environments. * High agency, strategic operator who can set direction and execute — equally comfortable in a leadership conversation about talent strategy and in the weeds of a hard fall recruiting season. * Strong analytical instincts with a track record of using data to drive decisions, i.e. conversion rates, funnel health, program ROI, and team performance. * Trusted advisor to senior leaders, with the credibility and market knowledge to influence program investment and hiring decisions at the executive level. * Genuine AI-first orientation — fluency with modern tools and an excitement for continuous discovery as the landscape evolves, with a track record of bringing teams along on that journey. * Deep knowledge of early career compensation trends, talent market dynamics, and partnership models — from universities and bootcamps to the channels and communities where early-in-career talent is found. NICE TO HAVES: * Background in program management or talent development with experience designing structured early career experiences (rotational programs, mentorship tracks, etc.). * Demonstrated track record of leveraging AI to meaningfully change how early career recruiting operates — not just as a tool user, but as someone who has built workflows, driven adoption, and raised the bar on what the function can do. * Experience designing and executing diversity recruiting programs targeting HBCUs, community colleges, or underrepresented talent communities — with measurable outcomes. * Strong network within the university recruiting, early career, and campus talent community. Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits.
