Aurelian builds AI tools that help 911 centers handle more with less, so telecommunicators can stay focused on what matters most
and communities get the response they need.
AVA is a conversational AI agent that answers non-emergency calls; the agent routes, triages, and resolves the calls without any
human intervention. By handling administrative calls like noise complaints, lost dogs, and parking inquiries, AVA eliminates hold
times and lets call-takers focus their energy on actual emergencies.
CORA supports call-takers on the calls that matter most. CORA is an on-screen assistant that delivers real-time SOP checklists,
smart reminders, and contextual guidance as an emergency call unfolds, so dispatchers stay calm, consistent, and confident when
every second counts. When AVA detects an emergency mid-call, it transfers the caller to a telecommunicator and passes along the
caller details, location, incident type, and key statements directly into CORA. The call-taker never starts from scratch.
The problem we're solving is serious. The average emergency communications center is 30% understaffed nationwide. Staffing
shortages drive burnout and attrition, which makes the shortage worse. Meanwhile, 60-80% of the calls coming in aren't even
emergencies at all. Aurelian addresses both sides of that equation: AVA reduces unnecessary call volume, and CORA makes every
emergency call more manageable for the people handling it.
Aurelian is live in centers across the country, answering thousands of non-emergency calls every day, and is backed by New
Enterprise Associates and Y Combinator. Aurelian is growing rapidly; we are hiring people who want to help scale this work and
make a real difference in public safety infrastructure for communities across the country.
Aurelian builds state of the art, multimodal conversational AI systems that help save lives. We work directly with 9-1-1 call
centers to modernize emergency response workflows - where reliability, speed, and usability aren’t “nice-to-haves,” they’re
mission-critical.

WHY JOIN US This is a rare seat, and the first role of its kind within the company: working directly with the CEO/founding team on the decisions that set Aurelian's future direction. We move fast, and as we grow those decisions are getting bigger and more frequent. We're looking for someone to take them on at the highest level - what we build, what we cut, what "good" looks like, and why. This is built for someone with exceptional judgment who wants to be at the center of how the company thinks and gets things done. Day to day, that means getting close to customers, pressure-testing direction with data and first principles, and turning the hardest open questions into calls the team can execute on. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING * Pair sharp judgment with real operational horsepower - you turn decisions into outcomes and don't let things stall. * Take on the company's hardest, highest-stakes decisions end-to-end — framing the question, gathering the evidence, making the call, and standing behind the tradeoffs. * Act as the CEO's thought partner / trusted advisor on the calls that matter most, and earn the trust to make more of them over time. * Turn messy, ambiguous problems into clear direction the team can move on. * Get close to customers and the market, and turn what you learn into sharper decisions. * Bring rigor: use data, first-principles reasoning, and clear written argument to drive decisions rather than opinion or consensus. * Move fast and own outcomes - you measure yourself by results, not activity. WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR * Founders / ex-founders - you’ve made high-stakes calls with incomplete information and lived with the consequences. * Top-tier strategy consulting or a “decisions all day” seat - you’ve been trained to break down ambiguous problems fast and defend a recommendation. * Trading / quant / other high-intensity judgment fields - you make rapid, high-quality decisions under uncertainty and are sharp with data. * Exceptional product people - PMs known for judgment and taste, not just shipping. ACROSS ALL OF THESE, YOU ALMOST CERTAINLY: * Think from first principles and are unusually good at reasoning under uncertainty. * Have extremely high ownership and a strong bias toward action. * Communicate with precision - you can influence smart, opinionated people. * Are energized by ambiguity and want to be close to the most important decisions in the company. 🌎 WHAT WE DO WE BUILD SOFTWARE TO ENABLE SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE SUPPLY CHAINS. ~31% of global GHG emissions originate from food-related activities. For the first time in history, climate performance has become an overall business performance indicator. Enterprises are mandated by regulatory bodies to disclose their climate performance, which leads to increasing pressure from investors, competitors, retailers, and consumers to prevent and reduce their CO2e emissions. Over the next 10 years, companies have set ambitious reduction targets that need to be met. Enterprise software and new business processes can help - to make processes in the day-to-day more efficient, connect farmers better to their partners and thus, enable action in supply chains. We raised >€10m in funding in the first 2 years of our existence, we launched our enterprise product, signed and onboarded some of the largest F&B players in Europe, and put together what we believe is the best-suited early stage tech team in Europe. Today Root is the #1 primary data collection platform for dairy in DACH. We are AI-enabled at the core and driving the AI transformation across the food and agri world. The next chapter is bigger. 🔭 WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON YOUR MISSION Build an innovative operating system for the dairy industry from 0 to 1, at the intersection of farmers and dairies. Dairy is Root's home market. We know it inside out - the players, the workflows, the technology gaps, the people. We see a category-defining opportunity to build a new product line that sits between farmers and dairy processors, and that has the potential to become the connecting piece of our portfolio. This is a genuinely greenfield role. You will not inherit a backlog. You will define what we build, why, and for whom - then prove it works with a handful of pilot customers before we scale. WHAT YOUR JOB WILL LOOK LIKE: * Run deep discovery. Spend weeks with farmers, farm technicians, milk procurement teams, and dairy executives on-site. Understand their jobs, KPIs, and frustrations from the inside. * Define new workflows together with our customers. Shape how dairy companies will work in the future. This product line is about setting a new standard, not digitising what already exists - while AI will be at the core of it. * Build hacky prototypes and run pilots. Show, do not tell. Get something tangible in front of 2-3 design partners within weeks. * Assess desirability, feasibility, and viability before we commit serious engineering investment. * Define the v1 spec with engineering and design once we have conviction. Set the team up for delivery. * Onboard the first paying customers and iterate fast. Own the loop. * Decide what we will NOT build. Scope discipline is critical with limited engineering capacity and a customer base that operates on a fixed annual cycle. You will work side by side with the Head of Product to make the bet, and own the product line end-to-end as it grows. Engineering and design support will scale with traction. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE AT 6 MONTHS: * A first end-to-end prototype tested with real customers * 3 signed Letters of Intent from new customers * A concrete, evidence-backed set of build hypotheses for v1 🦾 HOW WE SUPPORT YOU You will report directly to our Head of Product. Some of our angel investors that will actively mentor you: * Mengting Bönsch (Founder & ex-CEO @Kitchenstories) - 0 to 1 product in food * Alexander Argyros (Founder @BlueLayer, ex-founder @Moonfare) - founder craft and early-stage discovery * Jan Philipp Thomsen (VP Product @Celonis) - scaling enterprise B2B SaaS * Vassili Samolis (Director Product @Doordash, ex-Instagram, ex-Pinterest) - product discovery at scale It is important to us to give you the best conditions for learning and career growth. This is why we have designed our cap table in a way that all our early employees get functional experts as mentors by your side. 🧺 WHAT YOU BRING ALONG Language requirement: Fluent in German and English. Non-negotiable - our customers and most farmers are German-speaking. Location: Berlin office, 5 days a week. YOU MIGHT BE A GOOD FIT IF: * You have 5-7 years of B2B SaaS product management experience, ideally including a stint at an early-stage startup before product-market fit. * You have built a product line or a major module from 0 to 1 - not just iterated on an existing one. You can talk us through what worked, what did not, and what you learned. * You love discovery. Customer interviews, field research, prototyping, and pilots are your favourite part of the job, not the part you outsource. * You love observing how others do their job. You take the parts that matter, design new workflows around them, and put prototypes in front of users to iterate - rather than running survey-driven roadmaps. * You are AI-fluent. Modern AI tools are part of your daily craft - for discovery synthesis, prototyping, writing, coding. You also have a point of view on how AI reshapes the products we build. * You have an interest or background in food, agriculture, or sustainability. Preferred, not required. We will teach you the domain. 🤗 You don't feel like you fulfill all the criteria? We get it: confidence can sometimes hold us back from applying for a job. But guess what?! There is no such thing as a “perfect” candidate. The only thing you need to ensure along the recruiting process and beyond is that the problem that we are solving with Root is one you cannot wait to get out of bed for on Monday morning! 🎢 HIRING PROCESS Our ambition is to offer you an end-to-end experience that is fast and uncomplicated - we aim to keep the end-to-end process to 10 working days. We send you prep material for each step and maximise transparency at every step. Root Global is an equal opportunity employer, which means we do not discriminate on the basis of race, colour, religion, marital status, age, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic information, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
FOUNDING PRODUCT ENGINEER BUILD THE FUTURE OF AUTONOMOUS COMPANIES At Twin, we're building a world where anyone can deploy AI agents capable of running real business operations. Not chatbots. Not copilots. Autonomous agents that take actions, make decisions, execute workflows, and create value. In just a few months, we've seen explosive adoption, thousands of users building businesses on top of Twin, and millions of agent actions executed. We're still at the beginning. We're looking for a Founding Product Engineer to help build the company that builds companies. THE ROLE This is not a traditional software engineering role. You won't receive tickets from a product manager. You won't spend months discussing roadmaps. You won't optimize a tiny corner of an existing system. You'll work directly with founders, users, and other builders to design, build, and ship product every day. You'll move across product, engineering, design, AI, infrastructure, and growth whenever needed. One day you might: * Build a new agent capability from scratch * Design an onboarding flow that doubles activation * Improve infrastructure supporting millions of executions * Talk directly with power users * Ship a feature in the morning and iterate on feedback the same afternoon * Use AI to prototype something in hours that would previously have taken weeks If that sounds exciting, keep reading. WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR We're looking for builders. People who create. People who ship. People who don't wait for permission. You might be a fit if: * You've built products people actually use * You've launched startups, side projects, open-source projects, or meaningful products * You think about users as much as technology * You enjoy turning ideas into reality extremely quickly * You thrive in ambiguity * You naturally take ownership * You care about product quality * You love learning AI-NATIVE ENGINEERING We believe the best engineers of the next decade will not be those who type the fastest. They will be those who can effectively direct, evaluate, and collaborate with AI. AI coding assistants should already be part of your daily workflow. Cursor. Claude Code. Codex. Or whatever tools help you move faster. You should be comfortable: * Pair-programming with AI * Generating and reviewing large amounts of AI-generated code * Using AI for debugging, prototyping, testing, and research * Building dramatically faster without compromising quality * Leveraging AI as a force multiplier The question is no longer: "Can you write the code?" The question is: "Can you use AI to build the right thing, verify it, and ship it?" STRONG SIGNALS These are not requirements, but they tend to correlate with success here: * Former founder * Early-stage startup experience * Open-source contributor * Exceptional side projects * Competitive programming background * Olympiad participant * Hacker mindset * Product obsession * Evidence of unusually fast learning WHAT WE VALUE OWNERSHIP You see a problem, you solve it. SPEED Fast iteration beats endless planning. JUDGMENT Good decisions scale better than good code. AMBITION We're building something that shouldn't be possible. CRAFT Fast doesn't mean sloppy. WHY TWIN? Most companies hire engineers to execute a roadmap. At Twin, you'll help define it. Most engineers optimize existing systems. At Twin, you'll help invent new ones. Most jobs offer impact on a feature. This one offers impact on the future of the company. IF YOU'VE EVER THOUGHT: "I wish I had joined earlier." This is one of those moments.
