As the People Operations Generalist at Breeze, you'll play a key role in ensuring a seamless employee experience while supporting the people operations infrastructure that powers our global growth. This is a highly operational and hands-on role that will initially focus on covering a maternity leave period and working closely with our People team to manage People Operations across our global entities. You'll be primarily based in Singapore and will take on full hands-on responsibility for Singapore People Ops, payroll, and compliance, while also taking meaningful ownership of people operations across our global entities. This role is ideal for someone who brings strong People Ops foundations combined with hands-on experience managing people operations across multiple geographies — someone who is equally comfortable navigating compliance and operations as they are being a trusted, approachable partner for employees across the organization. We're looking for someone who genuinely cares about the employee experience — not just getting things done operationally, but making people feel heard, supported, and comfortable reaching out on any matter. Someone who can operate as both a trusted People Ops partner and an exceptional operator — hitting the ground running, working closely with the broader team, and helping us build a people function that employees across Breeze truly trust and value. WHAT YOU'LL DO SINGAPORE PEOPLE OPERATIONS, PAYROLL & COMPLIANCE * Serve as the primary point of contact for employee and people-related queries, ensuring timely and accurate support * Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes including offer and contract preparation, background screenings, onboarding, confirmation, employee changes, and offboarding * Maintain employee records, personnel files, HR systems, and documentation with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality * Administer work visa processes, including applications, renewals, transfers, and cancellations * Manage employee benefits administration, including insurance, leave entitlements, equity programs, and other employee benefits * Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters and workplace policies * Support Singapore office operations, employee engagement initiatives, and company events * Oversee end-to-end Singapore payroll in partnership with external payroll vendors, ensuring accurate CPF contributions, statutory deductions, and payroll adjustments * Manage tax clearance processes (IR21) and ensure compliance with MOM regulations, Employment Act requirements, and CPF obligations * Manage leave administration and payroll-related claims including NS make-up pay, maternity, and paternity claims * Partner with Finance and payroll vendors on monthly payroll funding, reconciliation, and operations GLOBAL PEOPLE OPERATIONS * Take on meaningful ownership of People Ops across Breeze's international entities, serving as a key partner for employee lifecycle processes, payroll, offers, contracts, and day-to-day people matters across geographies * Ensure globally consistent people processes, documentation standards, and compliance requirements across all entities * Navigate multi-jurisdictional employment regulations, partnering with local vendors, legal counsel, and external advisors to ensure compliance across regions * Support cross-regional employee relations matters, ensuring they are handled with discretion, sound judgement, and in line with local requirements * Partner with Finance and external payroll providers across entities to ensure accurate, timely payroll operations globally * Contribute to global People Ops initiatives including process improvements, HRIS enhancements, automation, and operational scalability as we enter new markets * Support a globally consistent onboarding and offboarding experience across all Breeze entities * Partner with external vendors including payroll providers, equity administration platforms, insurance brokers, and office management suppliers across regions WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR * 5–8 years of People Operations or HR Generalist experience * Hands-on experience managing People Ops across multiple geographies or international entities — this is a must * Hands-on experience managing Singapore payroll and compliance, including CPF, MOM regulations, Employment Act requirements, and IR21 tax clearance — this is a must * Strong understanding of Singapore employment law, fair employment practices, and work visa administration * Genuinely people-first — approachable, empathetic, and someone employees at all levels feel comfortable turning to * Strong interpersonal skills with high emotional intelligence and discretion when handling sensitive matters * Comfortable operating independently with a self-starter mentality, high drive, and strong sense of ownership * Experience using HRIS platforms such as Gusto, Rippling, Omni HR, or similar systems * Experience with equity administration platforms such as Pulley or similar tools * Experience working in technology, fintech, startup, or high-growth environments is a strong plus ROLE DETAILS * Full-time, permanent position * Initial period: Maternity cover (approximately 4 months), transitioning into a permanent role thereafter * Target start date: As soon as possible * Location: Singapore (In-Office) * Structured handover and onboarding period provided OUR CULTURE Fast-paced and dynamic – We move quickly, adapt fast, and operate with urgency. Join our global Tax & Finance team in Singapore as a Tax Analyst supporting regional tax compliance, reporting, and operational tax processes across multiple APAC jurisdictions. Your future role within QRT: * Review corporate tax filings prepared by external tax preparers across APAC jurisdictions, including but not limited to Singapore, Hong Kong, India, and Japan. * Review and coordinate international tax filings (e.g., CbCR and Pillar 2), working with external tax advisors and internal stakeholders. * Assist with ad hoc tax advisory matters, including GST and VAT, withholding tax implications/compliance, treaty relief applications, residency certificates, and cross-border payment reviews. * Assist with transfer pricing documentation, intercompany arrangements, and related compliance obligations. * Support tax accounting and reporting, including tax provisions and reconciliations. * Liaise with Finance, Legal, HR, Operations, and external advisers to gather information required for tax filings. * Assist with tax authority enquiries, audits, and information requests across multiple jurisdictions. * Research tax technical matters and monitor developments in tax legislation and regulations across APAC. * Contribute to the enhancement of tax controls, policies, procedures, and process automation initiatives. * Support ad hoc tax projects and business initiatives as the firm continues to grow globally. Your present skillset: * 4+ years of tax experience, ideally gained through a combination of Big Four accounting firm training and/or with combination of subsequent experience within a hedge fund, investment manager, or broader financial services organisation. * Professional accounting or tax qualification required (e.g. CA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent). * Experience supporting corporate tax compliance in one or more countries across Singapore, Hong Kong, India, or Japan. * Strong knowledge of corporate income tax regimes, withholding tax requirements, and cross-border tax considerations within APAC. * Familiarity with transfer pricing principles, intercompany transactions, and multi-jurisdictional tax compliance requirements. * Experience with indirect taxes and international tax matters in a tax advisory capacity is a plus. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret tax regulations and assess their impact on the business. * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across Finance, Legal, HR, and Operations teams. * Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, international environment. * Proficiency in Excel and the ability to analyse and work with large volumes of financial and tax-related data.
