ABOUT THE ROLE You will join a newly established business development and strategy function in a large-scale R&D environment where business priorities, governance, and financial direction need to come together across several parts of the organization. In this role, you will help shape how the function works, support strategic decision-making, and create stronger collaboration between R&D, management, and finance stakeholders. This is a broad role for you if you enjoy working close to leadership while also driving practical progress in strategy, planning, and follow-up. You will move between long-term direction and day-to-day coordination, with plenty of opportunity to influence how priorities are set and how strategic initiatives are executed. The role is especially interesting if you want to combine business development, strategic finance, and organizational improvement in a complex industrial setting. JOB DESCRIPTION * You will support the development and execution of the functional strategy for the business area. * You will drive strategic finance initiatives connected to the R&D organization. * You will support strategy management activities and help follow up on key priorities and initiatives. * You will manage and further develop the R&D management system and related governance processes. * You will contribute to yearly financial planning, including budgeting and forecasting. * You will work with commercial stakeholders to support prioritization for the brand portfolio. * You will establish and strengthen collaboration interfaces between R&D, group functions, and finance. * You will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across management, R&D, and group-level organizations. * You will contribute with Data and AI-related capabilities where relevant. REQUIREMENTS * You have a Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering and Management, Engineering, or Economics. * You have approximately 5 years of experience within leadership, project management, finance, or similar roles within R&D or cross-functional environments. * You have experience driving strategic initiatives in a complex organizational environment. * You have experience working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders. * You are fluent in English, written and spoken. NICE TO HAVE * Experience from an R&D organization in the automotive or industrial sector. * Experience in strategic finance or business development. * Experience supporting organizational development or functional strategy. * Swedish language skills. You have recently graduated and/or have up to 2 years of relevant work experience. This may include experience gained through internships, part-time roles, or early-career positions within consulting, finance, or a related field. Experience from software companies is an advantage. The Role As M&A Associate, you will play an important role in supporting Consilium Safety Group to realize an ambitious growth agenda over the coming years. You will help execute M&A transactions for acquisition targets across the globe and support Group Management in selected strategic initiatives. Responsibilities Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: * Drive end-to-end M&A activities, including target identification and screening, outreach preparation, deal analysis, due diligence coordination, valuation, and execution support. * Identify, source, and maintain the M&A pipeline, preparing briefing notes and building relationships together with the M&A team and other stakeholders. * Coordinate due diligence workstreams with external advisors (commercial, financial, legal, tax, technical) and internal SMEs; manage data room hygiene and Q&A logs. * Develop high-quality materials for investment memos, Steering/Executive stakeholders, and the Board of Directors, translating analysis into clear recommendations. Your Profile We look for candidates with the following: * 1–3 years of experience in Corporate Finance/M&A at a Boutique, Big4 (TS/M&A), Investment Bank, or M&A in a corporate development role * Relevant experience in M&A, corporate strategy, transaction services, or related roles * Strong academic background * Outstanding financial analysis and modeling skills, with proficiency in building clear valuation cases * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different seniority levels * Fluency in both Swedish and English is required The right person is a collaborative M&A professional who builds trust and strong relationships with a humble, down-to-earth approach.
