At WeQuel, we are now looking for a Certification Engineer – China in Södertälje, where you will become an important part of the
client’s certification team with a focus on certification activities and ensuring product compliance for the Chinese market. You
will work closely with the certification team in China and the local distributor to support the successful registration and type
approval of customer vehicles. The role includes supporting regulatory analysis, collecting technical documentation, coordinating
certification-related activities, and providing the Chinese market with the product information required for national type
approvals.
As a consultant with us, you will have the opportunity to work with one of our clients, who are leading companies within the
automotive and heavy vehicle industry, where you contribute to ensuring regulatory compliance, streamlining certification
processes and enabling successful market introductions.
Your responsibilities:
Legal and regulatory analysis within projects to support compliance with Chinese regulations Collection and coordination of data, drawings and documentation for Chinese certification activities Planning of national certification inspections and tests Support to the Chinese market with product information and technical details for national type approvals Support and troubleshooting of systems used for type approval activities Collaboration with certification engineers, designers, test engineers and other stakeholders Close cooperation with the certification team in China and the local distributor Continuous improvement of certification processes and cross-functional collaboration You will work within a broad network across the client’s organization and its group, where you independently drive your work
forward while collaborating closely with multiple functions and organizational levels across countries.
Requirements:
Experience within certification, regulatory compliance, type approval, engineering or a related technical area Fluent English, both written and spoken Ability to understand and work with technical product information, data and drawings Ability to work with regulatory requirements and support compliance-related activities Strong ability to coordinate activities and information across stakeholders and functions Comfortable in a broad international, multicultural and cross-functional network Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Structured and flexible, with the ability to prioritize between activities Ability to combine information from different areas Strong communication and collaboration skills Positive and collaborative team player who enjoys a variety of tasks Motivated to learn and develop your knowledge Comfortable building and maintaining relationships across functions and organizational levels Openly shares knowledge and information, contributing to a collaborative team environment Assignment details
