Lead UI Designer - Avanza Expansion

We are looking for a Lead UI Designer who wants to help millions of people achieve a better financial future. We want to be the

service that simplifies everyday finances and wins our customers' hearts through delightful, intuitive product experiences.

Driven by digital innovation and changing customer behaviors, Avanza is preparing to launch in the Danish market in 2027. Joining

our Expansion team as an Individual Contributor (IC) craft leader, you will own the high-fidelity visual layer and set a new

standard for modern retail investment experiences across the Nordics.

multi-platform design system. In this role, you get to dedicate your time fully to visual craft, creative direction, and

interactive execution as an Individual Contributor, with no people management responsibilities.

• Leading end-to-end interface design and delivering production-ready UI for hybrid mobile apps (iOS & Android) and responsive

web.

• Translating complex cross-border financial journeys into intuitive, accessible (WCAG AA), and engaging experiences tailored to

a tech-forward audience (ages 18–35).

• Accelerating product validation through dynamic, live-code prototyping (embracing tools like Cursor, Claude, or v0) over static

Figma frames.

The Team & Design Community: You will be embedded in our cross-functional Expansion team and belong to Avanza’s broader design

chapter, a community of around 30 UX designers, UI designers, and UX writers who continuously share learnings and develop our

craft.

You bring an art-director-level eye for layout, typography, micro-interactions, motion, and refined visual craft. You are curious,

creative, open to AI-driven workflows, and deliver structured, high-quality design. You communicate design decisions with logic

and user empathy, and you thrive in a low-prestige, highly collaborative team environment.

High financial literacy and/or experience of financial services is a merit. We also value an understanding of Nordic consumer

behaviors (Denmark in particular) and professional working proficiency in Swedish or Danish.
