About the role
Yubico is looking for a Planning Manager to lead integrated planning across EMEA and APAC and
strengthen the connection between regional demand, manufacturing, sourcing and our supplier network.
This role is central
to building a proactive and reliable planning model. You will translate market requirements into realistic supply, capacity,
material and inventory plans, while improving visibility and collaboration with suppliers and external manufacturing partners.
You will work across Manufacturing & Sourcing, Logistics, Product, Finance, regional commercial teams and Global Planning
to identify constraints early, develop scenarios and ensure that supply commitments reflect known capacity, lead-time,
configuration and lifecycle realities. You will report to VP, Supply Chain Operations.
The role combines strategic
planning, supplier collaboration and hands-on implementation, with a strong focus on supply reliability, inventory health, launch
readiness and better decision-making across the network.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Integrated Planning
- Lead EMEA/APAC planning inputs and outputs for global SIOP, supply review
and S&OE exception management.
- Reconcile demand, supply, capacity, materials, inventory and product lifecycle
considerations into a clear, decision-ready regional plan.
- Develop constrained and unconstrained supply scenarios across
relevant planning horizons.
- Translate the consensus demand plan into capacity, material, production, inventory and
logistics requirements.
Supplier & Manufacturing Collaboration
- Establish
structured forecast-sharing and exception-review routines with key suppliers and external manufacturing partners.
- Work
closely with Manufacturing & Sourcing to understand lead times, yields, capacity, order commitments and alternative supply
options.
- Ensure supplier, component and manufacturing constraints are accurately reflected in the integrated plan.
Supply Risk & Inventory
- Identify material, supplier, capacity, quality, logistics and
geopolitical risks and develop mitigation scenarios before they affect customer commitments.
- Support inventory
segmentation, safety-stock, reorder-point and inventory-positioning decisions.
- Balance service and resilience with
working capital, obsolescence and expedite risk.
- Ensure inventory assumptions and exposure across regional nodes and
external partners are visible and understood.
NPI, EOL & Lifecycle Planning
- Coordinate planning readiness for product launches, ramp-ups, phase-outs and EOL events.
- Ensure supplier commitments,
manufacturing capacity, component availability, master data and inventory run-down plans are aligned.
- Integrate lifecycle
assumptions and risks into SIOP and S&OE.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure transitions are executable and risks are
identified early.
Planning Excellence
- Standardise regional planning routines,
assumptions, data and issue-management processes.
- Improve the use of ERP, analytics and planning workflows to create
transparent and traceable supply assumptions.
- Establish clear decision rules and reduce reliance on ad hoc
workarounds.
- Share repeatable planning practices across regions, functions and external partners.
Skills and Experience
- Strong experience in supply, material, capacity, production and inventory
planning, including constrained planning and scenario development.
- Proven ability to work effectively with suppliers,
contract manufacturers and sourcing teams to resolve material and capacity constraints.
- Strong understanding of
procurement, sourcing, lead times, supplier performance and the planning implications of commercial decisions.
- Ability to
evaluate supply options across service, inventory, cost, working capital and risk.
- Advanced analytical and
scenario-planning skills, with the ability to structure incomplete information and communicate clear options and
consequences.
You should also be comfortable influencing stakeholders across countries, functions and external
organisations, and experienced in designing and embedding more disciplined planning processes.
Education &
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, Business or a related
discipline.
- Typically 7+ years of experience in supply planning, material planning, manufacturing planning,
sourcing/procurement, inventory planning or SIOP/S&OP.
- Demonstrated experience working directly with suppliers,
contract manufacturers or external production partners.
- Experience developing supply, capacity or material scenarios
across multiple countries, sites or supply-chain nodes.
- Practical experience with NPI, ramp-up, phase-out and EOL
planning, including supplier and inventory implications.
Experience with ERP, planning and analytics platforms is
required; experience with NetSuite or comparable systems is an advantage.
