Product Owner- Customer Risk

We are now seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead our teams working closely with Customer Risk within the Product Platform

area. These teams build the systems that keep Nordnet and our customers safe: customer due diligence, risk classification,

politically exposed persons and sanctions, enhanced due diligence, and the information we provide to authorities. 2027 is an

exciting time to join as the new EU Anti-Money Laundering Regulation (AMLR) applies from July 2027, and you, together with our

Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) department will drive the product side on how Nordnet meets it, for private customers, minors and

companies across our Nordic and German markets. We are looking for someone who can carry that work and keep building the product

long after the deadline has passed. The Product department consists of the Chief Product Officer, Area Product Owners, and Product

Owners within the different domains.

As Product Owner for Customer Risk at Nordnet, you own the product vision, roadmap and delivery for our anti-money-laundering and

customer-due-diligence platform. You translate regulation into products that are compliant by design, efficient for our operations

teams and as smooth as possible for our customers. On a daily basis, you work with a skilled, AI-first engineering team, our FCP

experts, Compliance, and the teams that work on customer sign-up and customer data. Together with FCP and Compliance, you turn

regulatory requirements into clear product decisions, and help other teams build it right the first time.

Key responsibilities

• Product innovation: Shape the due diligence and customer-risk experience so it is compliant, efficient for operations and

low-friction for customers.

• Roadmap ownership: Lead the team roadmap by defining feature scope and prioritizing deliverables in collaboration with business

owners and stakeholders.

• Stakeholder communication: Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders regarding roadmap progress, changes, and

potential blockers.

• Risk & compliance: Proactively identify and mitigate product risks while ensuring all features meet stringent regulatory and

legal standards.

• Engineering leadership: Guide development teams through complex technical problem-solving to deliver impactful products and a

high-performance user experience.

You have built products in, or worked closely with, FCP, and you care about why the rules exist, not just what they say. You have

an interest within savings and investments and you have previous working knowledge and experience from digital product development

within the financial service sector. You are comfortable saying "not now" and explaining why. You take a "low-ego, high-impact"

approach. You take ownership of outcomes, stay calm and structured under pressure, and make the people around you better by

sharing what you know.

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as product owner or similar role within onboarding, risk assessment, customer due

diligence or FCP in a bank, broker, fintech, payments company, consultancy or RegTech provider.
