The Core Technology team builds the architectural foundation supporting e-commerce, logistics, data, AI/ML, and customer experience. We are now looking for a Lead Security Engineer to take full ownership of Apotea’s security strategy, ensure compliance, and enable teams to build and innovate securely at scale. The Role As Lead Security Engineer, you will define, implement, and evolve security practices across AWS (serverless-first), e-commerce, logistics, and data platforms. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on engineering — you will implement security yourself while empowering others to do so. You will act as the first-line technical security lead, defining guardrails, monitoring risks, and leading incident response. You will develop secure practices for coding with AI assistants, ensuring generated code meets security standards, avoids data leakage, and aligns with regulations. You will also communicate complex security concepts clearly across the organization. Location: Sveavägen 168, Stockholm, Sweden (On-site) Key Responsibilities Security Leadership * Own and evolve Apotea’s security strategy across cloud, applications, and infrastructure. * Translate business and regulatory requirements into sustainable security practices. * Define guardrails, best practices, and reference implementations for teams. Hands-On Security Engineering * Design and implement secure AWS serverless and data-driven systems. * Lead IAM practices, enforcing least-privilege and zero-trust. * Oversee vulnerability management, penetration testing, and patching. * Ensure secure DevSecOps pipelines and IaC security. Monitoring & Incident Response * Build and operate monitoring, detection, and alerting systems (SIEM, EDR, GuardDuty, Security Hub). * Lead incident response: investigate, contain, and recover from security events. * Maintain and test playbooks for emerging threats. Governance & Compliance * Ensure GDPR, healthcare regulations, and industry standards compliance. * Embed security and privacy by design across development. * Partner with legal, compliance, and business units for regulatory readiness. * Provide training and frameworks for safe AI usage without compromising security. Collaboration & Culture * Work closely with engineers, architects, and product teams to integrate security early. * Mentor engineers in secure coding and infrastructure practices. * Advocate for a strong security culture. Qualifications * Extensive experience as a security engineer and organization’s main security expert. * Proven expertise in securing AWS (IAM, networking, serverless, encryption, monitoring). * Strong background in designing secure, scalable, cloud-native systems. * Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, secrets management. * Deep knowledge in DevSecOps and IaC (CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation). * Programming/scripting skills: Go, TypeScript, .NET, Python, or similar. Nice to Have: experience in regulated industries, compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS), or red/blue team operations. Du kommer att: * Konfigurera, underhålla och vidareutveckla Linuxbaserade plattformar, inklusive tjänster, nätverk och resurser * Skriva och underhålla skript i till exempel Bash och Python för att automatisera miljöuppsättning, deployment, logginsamling och verifieringsflöden * Arbeta med mjukvaruutveckling i större modulära system, främst i Java, och bidra till robusta lösningar som fungerar både i test och i drift * Integrera och vidareutveckla testautomation så att tester kan köras konsekvent, reproducerbart och effektivt i olika miljöer * Identifiera och driva förbättringar inom prestanda, stabilitet, kvalitet och struktur i plattformen och dess omgivande miljöer Vi tror att du har: * Flera års erfarenhet av Linux i utvecklings eller testmiljö, gärna Debian eller Ubuntu * Erfarenhet av att konfigurera Linuxservrar samt arbeta med infrastrukturautomation och konfigurationshantering, till exempel med Ansible eller Puppet * God vana av skriptning och objektorienterad utveckling, gärna i språk som Python och Java * Erfarenhet av containerteknik och orkestrering, till exempel Docker och Kubernetes * God erfarenhet av Git eller annat modernt versionshanteringssystem * Mycket goda kunskaper i svenska och engelska, i tal och skrift * Gärna också erfarenhet av nätverksprestanda och trafikanalys, hårdvarunära verifiering eller övervakning och loggning i Linuxmiljöer Varför HiQ? ABOUT THIS POSITION In this role, you’ll help shape how users experience our premium podcast and audiobook platform. You'll work closely with design, product, backend, QA, and DevOps to ensure the Podme Android app is high-performing, user-friendly, and continuously improving. You'll also contribute to technical decisions, feature design, and the ongoing evolution of our Android platform. What You'll Do * Contribute to the implementation of scalable and modern architecture as defined by the team * Develop, test, and deploy high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose * Write clean, readable, and well-tested code in line with team standards * Participate in code reviews and technical discussions with the team * Collaborate across functions to help define, design, and deliver impactful product features * Work closely with QA to support automation and ensure application stability * Identify and address technical debt while contributing to continuous improvements of the codebase * Evaluate and help introduce new tools, libraries, and development practices where appropriate WHAT YOU BRING You're an Android developer who enjoys building user-focused products and takes ownership of delivering high-quality solutions while working closely with product, design, backend and QA. * You have around 3–5 years of experience developing Android applications * You have a solid understanding of Kotlin and the Android SDK * You have hands-on experience with Jetpack libraries, especially Compose and Navigation * You understand REST APIs and common mobile architecture patterns such as MVVM or Clean Architecture * You are familiar with automated testing frameworks such as Espresso and JUnit * You take ownership of your work and proactively drive tasks to completion * You enjoy sharing knowledge and contributing to technical discussions and team improvements * You have strong communication and collaboration skills Bonus skills * Experience with media playback or streaming applications * Experience working with subscription-based consumer products WHY JOIN PODME?
