Vänerport Hotel is looking for careful and reliable Cleaning Lady to join our team.
The work includes cleaning hotel rooms, public areas and other tasks related to hotel housekeeping. You will help us make sure that our guests arrive to clean, welcoming and well-prepared rooms.
We are looking for someone who is responsible, efficient and has an eye for detail. Previous experience from cleaning or hotel work is an advantage, but not a requirement. The most important thing is that you are service-minded, reliable and willing to do a good job.
The employment is initially for the summer season, with the possibility of extension and future permanent employment.
We have hotels both in central Mariestad and just outside Lyrestad, and we are looking for staff for both locations.

What you’ll do: The Brass Tacks * Work assignments will vary between event bartending, serving, and set-up * May occasionally be assigned to work in our restaurant or stand-alone bar * Set tables with chinaware, glass, silver and linens * Clears tables as necessary, sets up buffets as needed * Serves food and beverage to guests and provides quality customer service * Ensures safe work environment, reporting unsafe conditions and equipment * Performs other duties as assigned. * Takes orders and serves food and beverage items to guests in accordance with established standards * Enters orders into computerized Point of Sale system and communicates any special requests to the culinary team * Coordinates the timing of each course to correspond with the dining pace of the guests * Assembles food items, such as appetizers, salads and soups * Ensures attractive, consistent presentation of food and beverages. Ensures that all food and beverage items are served at the correct temperature * Maintains current knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including menu changes and sold-out items * Processes guest payments, using proper accounting and cash handling procedures * Keeps work area, including guest dining area, clean and organized * Follows all appropriate policies and procedures * Advises guests, clients and team members on matters relating to food and beverage offerings * Assists in all areas of service and production including hosting, bussing, cleaning and dishwashing * As needed, support other F&B departments including Outlets, Banquets and Guest Breakfast * Assures that we exceed guest expectations by being responsive, engaged and following-through on all requests * Performs other tasks and responsibilities as directed by management The Nitty Gritty * Prior bartending and serving experience required, large scale event experience preferred * The ability to read, write and speak English * Necessary State Food Handler’s License(s) and Liquor Serving Permit(s) * Ability to lift at least 50 pounds. * Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment * Willingness to work long hours, irregular shifts, and on weekends and holidays. * The ability to provide an excellent level of customer service, even in stressful situations. * Necessary State Food Handler’s License(s) and Liquor Serving Permit(s) * Previous experience as server in a similar restaurant environment * Ability to perform essential functions on the computerized Point of Sale system * Working knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures * Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations * Necessary State Food Handler’s License(s) and Liquor Serving Permit(s) * Standing and Walking: Remaining on your feet for extended periods, often up to 10 hours, to attend to guests and manage service areas * Stair Navigation: Moving between different levels of the establishment, which may involve climbing and descending stairs. * Bending and Squatting: Reaching down to set or clear tables, retrieve items from lower shelves, or assist guests. * Lifting: Carrying trays, dishes, or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds. * Desire to work in a fast-paced role * Must be comfortable working across a large resort property involving a significant amount of walking and transporting supplies * Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in challenging weather conditions Don’t meet every single requirement? Food & Beverage Support Staff wear many hats while supporting our restaurant’s service team to make sure our restaurant shines for our guests. As a Host, you create a positive and helpful introduction to our guests’ dining experience. Managing reservations and seating flow while providing a second set of eyes on our guests to ensure they receive the attention and hospitality that they deserve. As a Food Runner, you support our Culinary team by ensuring our guests receive their orders in a timely manner. As a Busser, you support our servers in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. You will directly support servers, bartenders and managers with a variety of tasks to keep the restaurant humming. On occasion, you may assist our Catering team with private events & meetings.
