rapidly moving research frontier. The Mjösberg group studies the differentiation, regulation and function of innate lymphoid cells

(ILCs) and T cells in humans, and how these cells contribute to pathology in mucosal organs such as the gut and airways

(https://ki.se/en/medh/clinical-lung-and-allergy-research-unit-claru). The studies are translational as they involve advanced

basic molecular and cellular immunological investigations of precious human tissue samples to discover novel disease mechanisms,

therapy targets and biomarkers. The group is internationally recognized in the field through several high impact publications in

recent years. Your mission The main responsibilities for the research assistant will be to support the group’s work with research

on human gut tissues including gut tumor materials. The duties will be tissue dissection, biobanking, isolation of lymphocytes as

well as flow cytometry and single-cell RNA-sequencing analysis together with PhD students and postdocs in the lab. Also other

experimental methods will be used, such as tissue sectioning and downstream analysis. The candidate will also support our lab

manager in maintaining a good laboratory work environment, ordering, organizing databases and data sets. It is expected that the

applicant participates in project meetings, support students and other researchers in their work, as well as contribute to common

lab duties. Your profile The candidate must hold a Master’s degree in the field of biomedicine, medicine or immunology when the

position starts. The candidate should have experience with human tissue processing, isolation and culture of primary immune cells.

It is a merit to have skills in multidimensional (>20 parameters) flow cytometric analysis and sorting as well as multiplex

immunohistochemistry and microscopy. Experience in management of datasets and databases is a merit. The candidate should be
