About the Role We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Developer to join our embedded software development team. As a key member of our team, you will be partly responsible for ensuring that our software is designed for scalability, maintainability, and efficiency, enabling multiple teams to work seamlessly on development. This is a strategic and hands-on role, involving direct software development, requirements management, and architectural best practices. The role is based in the head office in Gothenburg and reports to the R&D Embedded Manager. Key Responsibilities: Represent embedded software in project core teams and act as a technical expert across projects. Drive the development of specifications, design, and implementation of software solutions. Provide accurate time and resource estimations for software development. Ensure adherence to software architecture and design standards. Lead development tasks and mentoring junior developers. Collaborate with product managers, project managers, and other engineers to align software solutions with business needs. Analyze and define technical requirements, considering cost, performance, usability, and customer needs. What We’re Looking For We are looking for a highly skilled embedded software developer who thrives in a collaborative and technical environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about software architecture and has a strong ability to develop scalable and maintainable embedded software solutions. This role requires strong organizational skills with a focus on quality and attention to detail. The candidate should have a customer-focused mindset with the ability to translate requirements into technical solutions. Additionally, we seek someone who is self-driven and responsible, capable of working independently while leading technical discussions. Key qualifications include: University degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field, or extensive hands-on experience in software engineering. 5+ years of experience in embedded software development, including requirement management, architectural design, testing, and automation. Preferably used to C-programming. Strong understanding of software development methodologies and structured processes. Experience of wirelesses technologies and protocols. Basic knowledge of electronics with the ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for technical details. Master’s or Ph.D. in AI would be considered a plus. * At least 5 years of experience in the ML Field, have developed ML solutions and products, with significant experience in developing cutting edge platforms using Cloud (preferably AWS Sagemaker) to enable seamless evolution and standardized utilization of the Machine Learning by organization. * Demonstrated expertise in managing complex Data/AI/ML projects and delivering results in a fast-paced environment. * Proficiency in AI technologies, event driven and real time data analytics environments, development and utilization of machine learning algorithms, MLOps and online feature stores for real time low latency applications. * Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in the AI and ML space to proactively implement improvements, suggest innovative ways and ensuring Betsson remains at the forefront of innovation in this dynamic field. * Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of inspiring teams and translating complex AI concepts into clear business strategies to be communicated to different stakeholders at different levels of seniority and skills.   WHAT WE OFFER Much like riding a rollercoaster, sometimes life at Betsson can be lightning fast with twists and turns but always FUN! In this role, you will take ownership of game releases and operational delivery for the Spain & Italy, Netherlands, Ontario, Germany and Rest of World markets . You'll work closely with the regional teams across Product, Compliance, Commercial and Marketing who sit closest to these markets, while your counterpart leads the equivalent team for the UK, Nordics and Brazil. OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING: ESSENTIAL SKILLS 3 to 5 years of professional experience within the iGaming industry with deep understanding of casino products, game delivery processes and player experience. Proven experience working with regulated markets, technical compliance standards, test labs, and GLI frameworks. At least 1 year of hands-on team leadership or people management experience, with a passion for developing talent. Strong technical comfort navigating back-office software platforms and interpreting system logs. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of earning respect and building trust across diverse teams.
