You will join the global Security function, which is responsible for safeguarding QRT’s technology platforms, data, and operational environments. The team partners closely with Engineering, Infrastructure, Risk, Compliance, and business stakeholders to design and implement security controls, reduce risk, and enable safe, high-performance operations across global offices. Your Future Role within QRT You will be a hands-on individual contributor and security generalist responsible for delivering day-to-day BAU, acting as the front door for security engagements, and partnering with the business to support their needs, while also helping to maintain the effective operation, observability, and health of QRT's core security platforms to ensure secure and reliable services across the firm. You will… * Deliver day-to-day BAU across security products, including processing security tickets and change requests, addressing vulnerabilities, administering identity controls, and tuning controls to balance protection with business operability. * Act as the front door for security engagements, responding to requests and queries from across the firm and ensuring the business receives timely, practical support from the security function. * Partner with the business, IT, Cloud Services, and Engineering teams to ensure security tooling integrates smoothly into operations and supports business workflows without unintended disruption. * Operate and maintain core security platforms, including firewalls, SASE, CASB, proxies, NAC, identity controls, endpoint protection, and cloud security tooling. * Support observability and health monitoring of security systems, identifying degradation, misconfiguration, or platform issues before they impact the business, and responding to operational incidents affecting security tooling. * Participate in a global 24/7 follow-the-sun security platform operations capability, including weekend coverage on a rotational basis. * Troubleshoot complex issues across security products, integrations, and the underlying network, cloud, and endpoint stack. * Implement automated and scalable operational processes for security tooling across hybrid, multi-cloud, and on-prem environments, reducing toil and improving reliability. * Position security as a business enabler, aligning operational controls with business effectiveness and supporting innovation without compromising protection. * Contribute to the rollout of new security controls and tooling, with a strong focus on operability, observability, and maintainability. * Contribute to team knowledge sharing. Your Present Skillset * 5+ years of experience in security engineering or security platform operations. * Strong exposure to modern network security solutions, including firewalls, SASE, CASB, proxies, and L7 policy. * Solid understanding of systems, networking, and security engineering concepts, including major network protocols across the stack. * Hands-on experience operating and maintaining security tooling across domains: network security, endpoint management and protection, identity management, vulnerability management, and cloud security controls. * Experience with observability, monitoring, and health management of security platforms, including log and metric pipelines, alerting on platform health, and capacity and performance management. * Comfortable with packet capture and analysis tools (tcpdump, Wireshark) for troubleshooting. * Strong foundations in operating systems, cloud platforms, and network engineering. * Programming or scripting skills in at least one high-level language for automation and tooling. * General awareness of the threat landscape and offensive techniques, sufficient to understand why controls exist and how to keep them effective. * Strong sense of ownership and commitment to resolving issues end-to-end. Join our global infrastructure support team at QRT, supporting the growing Linux on-prem estate. Engage with end users, application teams, and engineering teams to meet complex business requirements. This role involves both day-to-day support and project-based activities like new deployments, general administration tasks, and upgrades, working closely with engineering teams to enhance platform automation and monitoring initiatives. Your future role within QRT: * Be a key member of the infrastructure support team working with high-performance Linux-based trading and research platforms. * Build, administer, upgrade, and support QRT's Linux estate. * Contribute to monitoring and automation initiatives. * Collaborate with engineering teams to document and improve processes. * Participate in out-of-hours work and an on-call rota (typically performed remotely). * Leverage experience in Python and bash scripting. Your Current Skillset: * Hands-on experience working with Linux-based platforms. * Excellent Linux administration skills, with knowledge of RedHat, Centos, and Rocky. * Experience with end-to-end server deployments. * Proficiency in automation technologies (e.g., Ansible). * Working knowledge of AMD/Intel server hardware and physical components. * Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills. * Interest in technology and a willingness to learn. * Ability to work as a team player. * Working knowledge of server network stack, network protocols (e.g., TCP, UDP), LAN, and WAN technologies. * Some experience with NFS/SAN systems is advantageous but not essential. Your future role within QRT The successful candidate will join the global infrastructure team at QRT. You will be responsible for architecting, engineering and subsequent delivery oversight across all aspects of the QRT network estate but with particular focus on our colocation infrastructure. The trading infrastructure is a combination of wide area connectivity and ultra-low latency trading infrastructures. The team will deliver network solutions which enable full lifecycle management (architect, design, build, operate, retire) for our network components across core network switching, firewalls, load balancers, instrumentation/telemetry, network CMDB, and automation. It is crucial that any candidates must be able to demonstrate delivery of complex networks, at scale, which have been delivered through a software and automation-driven mindset. You will have deep knowledge of high-performance networking, including detailed knowledge of the product capabilities and roadmaps from the likes of Cisco, Arista and Fortinet. You will have direct experience of delivering and managing network solutions supporting corporate infrastructure and exchange specific ultra-low latency infrastructure with associated automation, telemetry and instrumentation frameworks. Your present skillset * As a senior network engineer, you will partner closely with the project management teams and work in a highly collaborative manner within the network team and the wider organisation * You will be member of an existing engineering team where you have direct responsibility and accountability for a complex and high-performance network infrastructures * You will be able to demonstrate expert knowledge of delivering complex network architectures delivered via software driven and agile methodology * You will have deep knowledge of delivering networks supporting high-performance and low latency computing architectures * You will have deep knowledge of the network vendor ecosystem and be able to demonstrate building engineering relationships at senior layers with vendor product and engineering teams * You will stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the network infrastructure remains cutting-edge * You will have knowledge of wide area network engineering focused on traffic prioritisation and steering.
