Your future role within QRT We are seeking a motivated and versatile Production Support Engineer to join our Sydney office. This permanent role suits candidates who thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy supporting multiple technology domains (Trading Tools or Market Access), and are driven by operational excellence and technical innovation. Key Responsibilities Production Support (50%) * Provide user and system support across multiple technology streams. * Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot production systems, with a focus on data platforms and trading infrastructure. * Respond to incidents and service requests, diagnosing issues affecting data flows, trading applications and related systems. * Perform daily health checks of trading and data systems before market open. * Manage and maintain static and dynamic databases, including resolving data integrity issues. * Work with development and business teams to resolve pre-trade issues and implement improvements. * Support application releases, including deployment, validation and rollback procedures. * Maintain operational documentation and ensure adherence to internal controls and best practices. * Participate in root cause analysis and collaborate with global teams to resolve complex incidents. * Provide out-of-hours support when required. Development & Automation (50%) * Develop automation tools to improve operational workflows. * Build scripts and applications for monitoring, alerting, data quality checks and recovery processes. * Contribute to initiatives involving cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines and system optimisation. Required Skills & Experience * 3+ years’ experience in technical support, ideally within trading or market access environments. * Scripting experience in Python, Bash or PowerShell. * Experience with Windows and Linux administration. * Strong relational database knowledge (SQL Server, PostgreSQL). * Experience supporting trading systems or financial market infrastructure. * Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills with a strong sense of ownership. Preferred Attributes * Interest in supporting diverse technology areas and learning new domains. * Ability to work independently and within global teams. * Proactive approach to automation and process improvement. * Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms. * Exposure to crypto assets or crypto markets. The successful candidate will have a Computer Science degree or equivalent and possess in-depth knowledge and experience in developing with C++. A strong background in Linux / C++ low latency optimizations is a must. A background in Linux kernel, FPGA, and network card offloading will also be advantageous. Your future role within QRT * The successful applicant will be a key member of the Low Latency Development team, building and enhancing trading systems for QRT. * The role will cover design, development, validation, deployment, and production support of QRT's trading system constellation of market data handlers, trading gateways, trading platforms, and other systems surrounding it. Your present skillset * 5+ years of experience in low latency Linux development using C/C++, STL, Boost. * Experience designing and implementing multithreaded and distributed systems. * Experience in a front-office trading desk-aligned role is an advantage. * Good knowledge of distributed network architecture. * Familiar with C++ optimization techniques. * Familiar with the Linux / GCC development toolchain. * Knowledge of market data feed handlers and execution gateways is highly desirable. * Team player. P-1562 As a Leader within the Premier Support team at Databricks, you’ll be responsible for leading and managing a team of Designated Support Engineers which deliver white-glove support experiences for Databricks’ enterprise customers. You will be hiring, mentoring, and developing a team of strong customer technical advocates while closely partnering with go-to-market, field and product teams to deliver the best support experience to maximize customer satisfaction and reduce time to mitigation for technical issues and incidents. THE IMPACT YOU WILL HAVE * Hire, onboard, and develop a top-tier team of designated support engineers (DSE) * Identify and operationalize process improvements to meet or exceed team performance KPIs and create consistently exceptional support experiences * Partner closely with field, engineering, support, and other cross functional stakeholders within Databricks to ensure seamless post-sales experience and advocate customer needs. * Contribute to program enhancements and offerings tailored to evolving customer needs * Coordinate execution and collaborate across customers, accounts teams and regional GTM leadership teams to resolve technical blockers and drive high customer satisfaction * Conduct internal and external Support Experience QBRs WHAT WE LOOK FOR * 15+ years of industry experience, with at least 7+ years of management experience * Proven ability to hire and scale high-performing support or field teams, enabling them and helping them grow in larger roles * Ability to work with strategic customers driving multiple completing priorities * Preferred 5+ years of Technical experience in Python, Java or Scala-based application development, SQL databases, Linux/Unix systems, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) * 5+ years of technical support or field leadership experience managing global technical teams.
