You will be part of the Quality Inspection Team carrying out inspections of our bags and raw materials both inline (during the production process) and end of line (finished goods).
This is a temporary role to provide sickness cover within the team, working four days per week (Monday to Thursday).
− To inspect all finished goods to the correct standards using the Sealed Sample and 1st Production Sample.
− Carry out Packing on finished goods using the correct Packing Specifications.
− Bring to the attention of the Supervisor/Manager any trends so they can be resolved.
− Manage the relevant reporting process including inspection, non-conformance, delivery etc ensuring the correct paperwork is completed so that quality can be analysed.
− Work in a timely manner to ensure that all products are cleared by the end of the week.
− Carry out In line Inspection of lines.
− Work collaboratively with the Materials Technologists to carry out inspections on raw materials and components including rub test, light fastness, water spot etc.
− Complete random quality checks of leather and components, recording the results following Mulberry’s set standards and distributing in a timely manor to relevant partners.
− Provide accurate and relevant information so leather allowances can be accurately monitored and reviewed by the costings team.
− Maintain the lab and testing equipment.
− Assist in any other areas of the Department as necessary.
− Embrace and demonstrate the Mulberry values and behaviours: honesty, dynamism, and a community-oriented spirit.

There are many crafts you could become skilled in; Inking, Stitching, Cutting or Skiving and we would support you in learning them all. We just need you to have a keen eye for detail and be excited to work within an innovative and fast paced factory environment. You will need be open to learning these new skills and perfecting your craft. As a Production Supervisor, you will have overall responsibility for a Production team and the day-to-day activity within that team, leading the line, ensuring that Health & Safety requirements are met, and production targets are met and exceeded. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: · Maintain hourly work output paperwork, ensuring that product is supplied for distribution on time and through full adherence to production plans. · Ensure basic output figures are maintained · Conduct basic housekeeping responsibilities · Monitor Craftspeople within the line to check they comply with all health & safety regulations and company policy · Continuously monitor the performance of the team · Identify and implement changes to improve the flow and productivity of the line and inspire and lead the teams in all aspects of operational improvement · Resource support for any technical issues in your line · Action line changeovers · Carry out WIP counts at week · Take part in a stock take twice per year · Ensure that quality targets are met, working in conjunction with the Quality team, through the supply of product to agreed specification identifying improvements with regard to consistency, reduction of scrap and total number of repairs. · Work with the Production & Operations Manager to resolve staffing needs. Ensure your team is upskilled to allow your team to be as flexible as possible, and work with the Industrialisation team to arrange any training requirements. · Liaise with the Production and Operations Manager with regards to recruitment for your line. Carry out any necessary recruitment requirements. · Promote the highest possible quality standards at all times within the line · Provide a point of contact for Craftsperson queries · Make recommendations to the Production Operations Manager relating to performance.
