The ideal candidate will be able to purchase all commodities and technical equipment (e.g., pumps, valves, instruments, controls, vessels, and piping) for the manufacturer of water and wastewater treatment systems promptly. Generate bid request documents, review quotations when received, prepare bid tabulation spreadsheets, and negotiate orders within budgetary limitations and scope of authority. Expedite all orders on assigned projects to obtain and maintain product deliveries and documentation submittals. Contacts vendors with discrepancies in quantity and quality. File data and compile records and reports for multiple orders on multiple projects simultaneously. Interface with all departments to resolve problems and issues. Coordinate and oversee the receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of project materials and equipment. Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP or material tracking system. Ensure material availability aligns with project schedules and production needs. Track material usage and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system data. Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and site teams to forecast material requirements. Verify supplier documentation, packing lists, and delivery notes for accuracy. Support logistics coordination for inbound and outbound material shipments. Implement and maintain material control procedures to ensure traceability and compliance. Prepare regular reports on material status, shortages, and surplus inventory. Enforce safety and housekeeping standards in material storage areas.
