Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science Department of Clinical Sciences The Department of Clinical Sciences conducts undergraduate education, research and postgraduate education in the scientific areas of veterinary medicine and veterinary nursing. We contribute to the continuous development of knowledge about animal health and diseases at both individual and population levels. The department's activities mainly concern our common Swedish domesticated animal species with a focus on anesthesiology, diagnostic imaging, veterinary nursing, epidemiology, laboratory animal science, surgery, clinical pathology, medicine and animal reproduction. Subject description The subject is large animal surgery with a focus on horses but also includes ruminants and pigs. Utöver tillsynen ingår även enklare praktiska sysslor, såsom att inventera material i förrådet, se till att pojkens kläder är i ordning samt att nappar är rengjorda inför kommande dygn. Pojken sover oftast hela nätterna, vilket gör att nattpassen i regel präglas av stillhet och lugn – samtidigt som din närvaro och uppmärksamhet alltid är viktig. Familjen består av pojken, hans mamma och pappa samt familjens hund. De bor i en stor nyrenoverad villa med goda bussförbindelser och goda förutsättningar för en trivsam arbetsmiljö. Arbetstiden är förlagd kl. 21.00–07.00 och passen kan förekomma både vardagar och helger. Vårdavdelning 16/AVA är en internmedicinsk akutvårdsavdelning där vi vårdar patienter med ett brett spektrum av akuta sjukdomstillstånd. Hos oss kombineras högt patientflöde med avancerad omvårdnad, vilket ställer krav på flexibilitet, klinisk skicklighet och ett nära samarbete mellan professionerna. Förutom våra akutvårdsplatser har vi en observationsenhet och en övervakningsenhet där vi bland annat vårdar patienter med intoxikationer, kramper, anafylaxi, ketoacidos, behov av NIV och andra tillstånd som kräver tät övervakning. Våra patienter har ofta korta vårdtider, vilket innebär att ett personcentrerat arbetssätt, god samverkan och säkra vårdövergångar är avgörande för en god och trygg vård. Arbetsbeskrivning Som omvårdnadsledare har du ett delegerat ansvar för utvecklingen av det kliniska omvårdnadsområdet i nära samverkan med vårdenhetschef, den andra omvårdnadsledaren och det interprofessionella teamet, både inom och utanför verksamhetsområdet. Tillsammans leder, samordnar och utvecklar ni omvårdnaden med fokus på kvalitet, patientsäkerhet och personcentrerad vård.
