What we’re looking for You likely have several years of experience working with embedded or automotive software and are comfortable working in complex systems. Your role in our team As our new Advanced Systems Engineer on a specialist level, you will play a key role in driving, structuring, and technically anchoring proposal activities within Air & Land Projects in R&D. You will enter a highly specialized technical environment with a steep learning curve. Initially, you will work closely with and learn from our Senior Systems Engineer on proposals and our Solution Architect within this technology area, actively supporting them in their ongoing high-value bid processes. Through this close collaboration and mentorship, you will quickly build deep domain knowledge across Terma's Electronic Warfare portfolios. As you mature in the role, you will gradually take full, independent responsibility for driving your own technical proposals from inception to final delivery. How you will make a meaningful contribution Your key responsibilities include: -Technical Bid Execution & Support: Collaborate with Senior Systems Engineers and Solution Architects to build robust technical baselines for international proposals, transforming operational customer needs into mature engineering concepts. -End-to-End Proposal Drive: Progress from supporting complex bids to independently driving and technically anchoring your own multi-disciplinary proposals across R&D. -Advanced Hardware & EW Integration: Work across complex boundaries integrating structural components, smart pylons, and pods with safety-critical hardware, Electronic Warfare software, and mechanical interfaces. -Sensor & Effector Systems: Apply your technical knowledge to integrate cutting-edge sensor technologies (e.g., Radar Warning Receivers, Missile Warning Systems, and Laser Warning Systems) and advanced effector integration (countermeasure dispenser systems / chaff & flare). -Risk & Estimation Management: Evaluate technical risks, compliance matrices, and engineering estimates to ensure robust, deliverable, and competitive proposals. Bring your world class expertise into play You are fluent in English both in writing and verbal at a professional level. Danish is an advantage but not a requirement. Moreover, we are also looking for a new colleague with the following qualifications: -Educational Background: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electronics, Physics, Systems Engineering, or another highly relevant technical field. -Industry Experience: Solid, proven experience as a Systems Engineer, Technical Lead, or specialized Bid/Proposal Engineer within the international or European aerospace and defense industry. -Domain Expertise: Strong knowledge - or a proven capability to quickly master - complex aircraft technologies spanning Electronic Warfare (EW), Self-Protection Systems (SPS), aerostructures, weapon/pylon interfaces, and airborne sensors. -Platform Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of military aircraft architecture (including fighter jet and helicopter platforms), line-replaceable units (LRUs), and the interplay between hardware (HW), software (SW), and mechanical integration. -Standards & Frameworks: Familiarity with aerospace/defense standards (e.g., MIL-STD, ARINC, DO-178/DO-254) is a distinct advantage.
