We are looking for a Crew Development Manager (m/f/d) to support fair, transparent and future-oriented promotion decisions for our seafarers. The role is about looking beyond certificates and sea time by combining performance, potential, attitude, onboard feedback, training needs and operational requirements. Your responsibilities * Develop and improve assessment and promotion processes for officers, including criteria for promotion readiness * Coordinate development reviews and promotion readiness checks together with Crew Operations, Shipmanagement and Manning Agencies * Review appraisal results, onboard feedback, training records, sea service and development gaps, and prepare clear recommendations for internal decision-making * Contribute to Crew Development initiatives, tools and process improvements IHR PROFIL You understand people, seafaring and the importance of fair development decisions. You bring: * Experience in assessment, talent management, recruitment, training, people development or crew development * A background in maritime recruitment, training management, organisational psychology or shipboard leadership is an advantage * Good understanding of maritime careers and shipboard operation * Ability to assess performance and potential objectively and systematically * Strong analytical and communication skills, a structured working style and confidence in working with different stakeholders * Intercultural awareness and sensitivity * Fluent written and spoken business English * German is an advantage WAS WIR BIETEN What makes this role special This will help shape how future officers are developed and promoted. The Role Manage the operational affairs of Blue Wireless in Germany, to optimise operational performance and contribution within Blue Wireless.
