Built on DeepL's world-leading translation quality, the Voice product line brings together Research, Engineering, Product, and GTM
teams to deliver real-time speech-to-speech interpretation for meetings, live conversations, and developer integrations.

As a Solution Architect on our global solution consulting team, you'll sit at the intersection of voice technology, enterprise
architecture, and strategic sales - designing and deploying AI language solutions that perform in production. This isn't a
slide-deck role. You'll be deep in the technical weeds with customers one day and shaping our product roadmap the next.
Lead Technical Discovery and Validation Act as a technical expert across DeepL Voice use cases (meetings, live conversations,
APIs), you will successfully engage with enterprise prospects and partners including contact centre leaders, IT architects, and CX
stakeholders. Validate the art of the possible in proof-of-concepts and conduct architecture reviews to help win deals.
Advise on the End-to-End Voice Architecture: Advise on scalable, real-time voice AI architectures across the full stack -
speech-to-text, text-to-speech, speech-to-speech real-time translation and telephony/SIP/contact centre integrations.
Enable Partners Work with BPOs and contact centre providers to deploy, integrate, and scale voice AI globally. You'll help to
build repeatable playbooks that enable partners to move fast without introducing technical risk.
Close the Product Loop You're on the front line. Bring structured, specific feedback to product and engineering on latency
constraints, voice quality trade-offs, and integration gaps - and turn customer pain into roadmap influence.
7–10+ years in Solution Architecture, Solution Consulting, or Technical Pre-Sales ideally within enterprise or SaaS environments
Solid familiarity with the voice stack: SIP/VoIP/IVR, CCaaS Platform Architecture, Contact centre platforms (for example: Genesys,
NICE, Five9, Amazon Connect etc), speech-to-text, text-to-speech and speech-to-speech systems, LLM-based conversational AI,
WebSocket / API Integration, AWS Cloud Architecture.

MEET THE TEAM BEHIND THIS JOURNEY DeepL is moving beyond being seen as a best-in-class translation engine. We are building toward an AI-first, end-to-end translation platform - and this role exists to lead that technical narrative with enterprise customers as it spans language, process, and technology. As a Solution Architect on our global solution consulting team, you'll sit at the intersection of enterprise translation strategy, localisation technology, and complex deal execution. You'll shape how DeepL is positioned with respect to language and/or translation service providers, design future language AI workflows, and help build the playbooks that scale what works across the broader GTM team. You understand modern AI stacks and language customization and localization as a whole - governance, glossary management, QA workflows, post-editing - and can navigate a conversation between a Localization Manager and a Head of Engineering without losing either. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES - Get Inside the Customer's World - Engage confidently with localization program managers, language operations leads, IT architects, and procurement stakeholders. Understand their content volumes, language pairs, translation management system setup, language service provider relationships, and where their current stack is failing them. Translate that into a clear picture of where DeepL creates the most impact. - Map the Workflow Transformation - Create the before-and-after. Map a customer's current manual-heavy processes and fragmented localization state against a DeepL-centric future - demonstrating how processes gets streamlined and deliver efficiency and productivity gains to the business overall - Lead Technical Validation - Design and run high-impact POCs and architecture reviews that prove translation quality, integration feasibility, and operational efficiency. Speak authoritatively on security posture, compliance architecture, and governance to risk-averse IT and procurement audiences. - Shape the Practice and the Product - Establish and refine playbooks - discovery frameworks, architecture templates, ROI models, and automation recipes - that elevate the broader GTM team. Feed structured field insight back to Product and Engineering and turn customer challenges into roadmap influence. QUALITIES WE LOOK FOR - 7-10+ years in Solution Architecture, Solution Consulting, or Technical Pre-Sales - ideally within language technology, or localization or enterprise SaaS or system integrator environment.MC - Strong familiarity with the modern AI and localization stacks - MCP, CLI, Claude code, TMS, Machine translation API integration patterns, Translation Memory and Glossary workflows, CMS integrations, and REST/webhook API architecture. You don't need to have built all of these but you need to know how they fit together and where they break. - A workflow transformation mindset - you think in before-and-after states, can map a complex enterprise content pipeline, and know how to make the case for changing something an organization has relied on for years. - Solid understanding of the LSP model - how language service providers operate, buy, and resell MT technology. - Security and compliance fluency - comfortable discussing data residency, security posture, and governance frameworks with IT and legal audiences in regulated industries. - Strong enterprise instincts - you've navigated localization program managers, IT architects, and C-level buyers in the same deal. About the Role Sonar is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to serve as the technical voice of our AWS go-to-market motion and the trusted advisor to enterprise customers evaluating Sonar's code quality, SAST, secrets detection, and AI code assurance capabilities on AWS.
