As an account manager, you will be responsible for managing the full merchant lifecycle of our high-value merchants (monthly TPV >
€50), providing personalized, high-touch support from onboarding to retention and growth. You will act as the single point of
contact for your assigned portfolio of merchants, proactively engaging with them to maximize their success with SumUp while
developing strong relationships that drive business value.

As an account manager, you will be responsible for managing the full merchant lifecycle of our high-value merchants (monthly TPV > €50), providing personalized, high-touch support from onboarding to retention and growth. What you’ll do * Conducting merchant discovery calls, understanding their needs from the moment they sign up and ensuring a smooth and frictionless activation * Delivering tailored training sessions on SumUp products either remotely or onsite. * Collaborating with our field sales team during deal closure to ensure a seamless transition * Serving as the primary relationship manager, ensuring high-value merchants receive priority support and proactively providing strategic consultations to merchants * Monitoring transactional data and key account metrics, identifying opportunities for growth or signs of potential churn. * Upselling and cross-selling relevant SumUp products to drive merchant expansion. * Liaising with internal teams to resolve merchant pain points effectively. Your mission: Activation, retention and growth of the portfolio of merchants through: * Proactive activation reach out calls to engage the merchants and get them to start transacting per necessary product * Conducting personalized training sessions, either onsite or through Google Meets * Keeping merchants engaged and satisfied with our products and helping them reach their expected TPV targets * Conducting proactive retention activities, identifying early signs of churn and implementing strategies to re-engage at-risk merchants * Executing ad-hoc growth campaigns aimed at increasing merchant engagement and driving additional revenue opportunities. The Junior Account Manager is a commercially focused role responsible for driving revenue growth across an existing merchant portfolio through outbound engagement, negotiation, upselling, and proactive retention actions. What you’ll do * Own a portfolio of existing merchants and drive revenue growth * Proactively engage merchants to increase transaction volumes, adoption of additional products, and long-term retention * Negotiate pricing, fees, and product adoption within defined guidelinesIdentify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities * Run churn-prevention and win-back campaigns, balancing commercial opportunity with revenue quality * Prioritise outreach based on portfolio signals and performance indicators * Consistently work towards clear commercial targets and KPIs, with commission as a key component of compensation What we’re looking for * At least 1 year of experience in Sales Development, Sales or Account Management * Experience in upselling and cross-selling in a B2B or Fintech environment is a strong plus * Excellent verbal and written proficiency in both French and English * Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively * Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding KPIs. As the Account Management Team Leader, you will lead a team of Account Managers dedicated to driving retention and revenue growth within a portfolio of small merchants transacting between €5K and €50K in monthly TPV. Your primary objective will be to lead a high-performing, commercially driven Account Management team that strengthens merchant engagement, improves portfolio health, and unlocks untapped revenue opportunity across this segment. You’ll work closely with leadership and key stakeholders to develop scalable account management practices that improve merchant retention, product adoption and net revenue contribution. This role combines people leadership, commercial execution and operational structuring, ensuring the team operates with clear priorities, strong accountability and a consistent merchant engagement strategy.
