You'll be the ultimate strategic lead, overseeing the game's vision, financial success, and entire development lifecycle. Shape the next generation of vessel concepts Do you want to take a leading role in defining future vessel designs for demanding clients across specialized vessel segments? At Vard Design, you will work at the very front of the design process – where the most important decisions are made. As Lead Naval Architect in Conceptual Design, you will drive the development of new vessel concepts, balancing performance, cost and sustainability, and play a key role in winning new projects. Your role You will combine technical expertise, commercial understanding and leadership in early-phase projects: • Lead concept development for complex vessel designs across selected segments • Act as the technical lead towards clients in the conceptual phase • Drive key design decisions and trade-offs (performance, cost, sustainability) • Work closely with Sales to develop strong and competitive technical proposals • Facilitate and participate in client workshops and concept discussions • Coordinate input from multi-disciplinary teams across VARD • Contribute to research & innovation by integrating new technologies and zero-emission solutions You will have a visible and influential role, both internally and externally, and contribute directly to shaping VARD’s future project portfolio. Qualifications • Strong understanding of vessel design trade-offs and performance drivers • Ability to lead discussions and make decisions in complex, multi-disciplinary environments • Relevant higher education, i.e. Naval Architecture, Engineering • Knowledge of certain vessel segments is an advantage • Being able to express yourself fluently in English (both written and spoken) VARD works systematically for inclusion and diversity and encourage everyone to apply, even if your competence does not match 100% the above. Replay Operations Technical Guarantee Location: The majority of work will take place in the Paris Replay Centre. The role can also include regular work at home (Remote Support), as well as at national and international events (mainly domestic league + UEFA and FIFA events), requiring local + worldwide travel to some stadiums. Start Date: August Contract: Full-Time, 12m Fixed Term Salary: 32,250.00 EUR per year As a Replay Operations Technical Guarantee you mainly take part in the operations (on all competitions) at the Paris Replay Center under the direction of the VAR Operations Lead. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Setting up the video review & audio system on Match Day. * Conducting pre match checks of the systems in accordance with standard procedures, according to the check-list. * Operating the technology during the match. (4 to 20 cameras) * Troubleshoot hardware / software issues. * Research and development into new projects and new systems. (Out of Match Day) * Provide feedback after each match. Report any faulty or missing hardware to the hardware manager so the issue can be solved before the next match. * Participate in weekly calls. (Tech calls, feedback, preparation…) * Manage your own working time when working from home to work in the most efficient way possible. * Participate in regular training (RC, stadiums, CNF) with colleagues and referees. * Help keep the Replay Center and the Warehouse in good condition. * Individual ad hoc projects in response to changing needs in the business. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU * A strong technical grounding, ideally educated to a degree level in a relevant subject or work experience to a similar level. * Good knowledge of the VAR project. * Time management skills and ability to work in a high pressure, procedural, live broadcast environment. * Ability to communicate well. Comfortable and confident liaising with stakeholders in a professional and approachable manner. * Ability to take ownership of issues, and find workable and pragmatic solutions to tech challenges. Problem solving oriented. * Experience working in large-scale technical projects or installations and working to deadlines is beneficial. * Strong knowledge of football, especially French, and a more general interest in sport. * Fluent in French and English. Additional languages are a plus. * Esport player (football video games) is a plus
