About Terranova
Backed by leading deep tech VCs, Terranova builds intelligent robotic systems to terraform the Earth itself - lifting land,
restoring wetlands, and protecting critical infrastructure from floods. Our mission is to preserve the built environment, create
new habitats, and usher in an era of abundance. Our work supports climate resilience, disaster recovery, housing development, and
defense across the United States and beyond.
We’re assembling a world-class team that wants to work on something real, physical, and civilization-scale. If you want your work
to reshape the world (literally), this is the place to do it.
What to Expect
We are looking for a COO or a VP Operations who can function as a true company operator: owning execution across engineering,
field operations, manufacturing, recruiting, finance, customer delivery, and internal systems. This is a cofounder-level role at a
very early company. This person will lead from the front, run an extremely tight operating cadence, and make sure the hundreds of
things required to keep projects moving get done.
The upside is meaningful equity, ownership, and the chance to help build one of the defining hard-tech companies of the next
decade.
Key Responsibilities
● Own company-wide execution across engineering, operations, deployments, hiring, finance, procurement, legal coordination, and
customer delivery.
● Build and run the operating system of the company: weekly cadence, project plans, dashboards, accountability loops, and
decision-making processes.
● Manage and motivate a high-intensity technical team while earning credibility with engineers, field operators, and founders.
● Drive field deployments from planning through completion, ensuring projects do not slip because of logistics, staffing,
materials, permitting, vendors, or customer coordination.
● Work directly with the CEO to support fundraising, board communication, strategic planning, and company priorities.
● Support GTM and customer execution across PE firms, developers, infrastructure owners, government agencies, USACE, and other
defense-adjacent customers.
● Recruit, evaluate, and help close exceptional talent across technical, operational, and commercial roles.
● Thrive at the pace and intensity of early-stage startup life, including long days, and field hours when needed.
Requirements
● Exceptional operational judgment, intensity, and ownership.
● Experience leading strategy, operations, deployment, product, or company-building functions at a high-growth deep tech,
robotics, aerospace, defense, infrastructure, or hardware startup.
● Ability to manage technical teams and make high-quality decisions around complex engineering and field operations, even without
being the deepest technical expert in the room.
● Strong comfort with customers, investors, board members, vendors, and government / defense stakeholders.
● Willingness to work on-site in Berkeley, CA.
● U.S. work authorization. We cannot sponsor H-1B visas at this time.
Preferred Skills & Experience
● Prior experience as a VP / Director / Head of Strategy or Operations at a deep tech company.
● Prior experience as a COO, CPO, CTO, VP Ops, or GM experience at a Series B or later hardware startup.
● Experience deploying products that are hard to sell and hard to build.
● Founder or founder-level operating experience. Important to have seen 0->1.
● Strong finance, strategic planning, and fundraising fluency.
Ideal Archetype
● A high-aptitude operator 3-15 years into their career who has already scaled unusually fast. They need to be the smartest person
at our company. Wicked, cunning, fluent in the dark arts, blurry in pictures.
● Someone who could plausibly be a founder, but who chooses our rocket ship over starting from zero.
● Has built or run something real in robotics, aerospace, defense, infrastructure, construction tech, or complex hardware.
● Can walk into a messy early-stage company, create order, raise the bar, and make everyone more intense and effective.
● Has enough technical taste to manage engineers, enough commercial judgment to help sell, and enough operational force to keep
the whole machine moving.
● Comes from a flagship deep tech company, an Elon-founded company, or a serious venture-backed hardware company. We are
optimizing for aptitude, intensity, and company pedigree over title.
About Us You rarely get the chance to change an entire industry. But that's the position we find ourselves in. Join us, and you’ll help scale cures to patients that need them sooner. We’ve developed fully-automated cell manufacturing sites, powered by custom robotics - to scale treatments to millions of patients. Last year, patients were cured of diseases like Parkinson’s and vision loss using stem-cell derived cells - but today these Regenerative Medicines are produced by hand, meaning they’re too expensive and hard to scale. With our automated manufacturing sites, these therapies can now be scaled globally at low cost. We've announced partnerships across multiple therapies so far ranging from Parkinson’s, to hearing loss, to bone repair - and raised $24m to expand into the market faster, and accelerate our development! Within the next 12-18 months, neurons grown on our machines will be going into Parkinson’s patient brains. We’ve assembled a world-class team to take on this challenge, with ex-Dyson engineers and Nature-published scientists working hand-in-hand. You can learn more about your potential Mytos teammates here: Team Mytos is backed by Y Combinator, the most successful startup program in the world which produced companies such as AirBnb, Dropbox, and Ginkgo Bioworks. The Role We’re looking for a smart, analytical Chief of Staff to accelerate us towards our mission. You’ll work with the founders on high-priority complex problems across the company, spanning Recruiting, Finance, new product areas, and Operations. You’ll get to collaborate with our advisors, such as former CFO of Revolut, Head of Technical Recruiting at Monzo, former Director of Manufacturing at Apple, and former VP of Ops at Carbon3D. This unique opportunity will teach you how to build a business from scratch, how to solve absolutely any problem, and the mentality to achieve any goal. Expect to be surrounded by amazing colleagues and have high autonomy in how you go about making your mark.
bunch is building the backbone of private markets. We are enabling next-gen fund operations with one integrated system that combines secure data infrastructure, AI-powered workflows and expert fund services. If you value ownership, growth through real responsibility, and working with a thoughtful, ambitious team, this role might be for you. As we scale following our Series B, across markets, acquisitions, and teams, we are launching a steady pipeline of strategic operational projects. We are looking for a Central Operations Manager to turn those initiatives into implemented reality. You will take an initial idea or direction and shape it into an effective, executed plan, designing it as you go. The environment is complex and fast-moving, and projects are rarely fully defined at the outset. We need a sharp mind that can reduce a problem to its underlying assumptions and facts, together with the people skills and execution discipline to carry it through to adoption. You will work at the intersection of strategic planning and operational excellence, partnering closely with our Operations domains and other teams to help teams operate consistently, scale effectively, and continuously improve. A major focus will be the operational integration of acquired companies into the bunch operating model. You will work most closely with the Senior Central Ops & Integration Lead and VP Operations, who drive the conceptualisation and initiation of these initiatives. You will own the execution: shaping early-stage ideas into concrete plans and carrying them through to implementation. YOUR ROLE * Take operational excellence and integration initiatives from initial concept to implemented reality, shaping the plan as you go. * Translate an improvement plan into concrete milestones, owners, and decisions, and keep them progressing on your own initiative. * Drive operational integration workstreams from planning through execution and adoption as bunch grows through acquisitions. * Build the steering frameworks the operations teams run on, turning operational data into the metrics and targets that guide their decisions. * Use analytical assessment to identify where processes can be simplified, scaled, or de-risked, and drive those improvements through to completion with measurable impact. * Own bunch's central operational tooling, such as Asana and Front: set the standards for how it is used, run training, and drive its ongoing development. * Manage the relationships with these tooling vendors, from support and adoption through to roadmap and renewals. * Run several projects in parallel while keeping quality high across all of them. ABOUT YOU * You bring 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced, high-performance environment such as management consulting, startups, or tech project management where you owned complex problems end to end. * You have exceptional analytical thinking. You reduce a problem to its core assumptions, facts, and constraints, and rebuild it into something simple enough that others immediately understand it and can act on it. * You are effective with people. You bring others with you toward an outcome, building trust and alignment across teams that do not report to you and driving genuine adoption of change. * You have excellent project management skills. You run multiple workstreams in parallel, keep them on track, and carry them through to implementation with limited oversight. * You are comfortable taking an initial idea or direction and shaping it into an effective, implemented plan, designing it as you go, in an environment that is complex and rarely fully defined at the outset. * You are highly structured and detail-oriented, and hold quality under tight timelines. * You are proactive and thrive in a fast-moving, high-growth environment where you are trusted with real ownership. * A background in private markets, fund administration, or financial services is a strong plus, though not a requirement, as long as you are keen to get up to speed on the industry bunch operates in. * You are fluent in English; German is a plus. WORKPLACE & BENEFITS * Competitive salary * Customizable benefits package (wellbeing, sport, mobility, food, and more) * 28 days of vacation, plus 2 company days and local public holidays * Remote-flexible hybrid (3 days/week in office) * Up to 4 remote calendar weeks a year * Work with a diverse team of 120+ bunchies from 40+ countries, with leaders who are best-in-class in their domains HIRING PROCESS * People Team Interview (30 min) – Meet us & check initial fit * Hiring Manager Interview (45 min) – Collaboration, ownership, and culture * Case Interview & VP of Ops screening ideally on site (90 min) – Collaborative problem-solving and communications skills * Final Round (60 min) – Meet senior stakeholders * Reference calls to confirm your relationship building abilities About bunch bunch is building the operating infrastructure for the next generation of private markets. We combine AI-powered automation with deep regulatory expertise to replace fragmented spreadsheets and manual processes with one integrated platform across the fund lifecycle, purpose-built for private markets heading toward $32 trillion in Assets Under Management. We've 4x our ARR in 2025, crossed 150 fund managers and 12,000 LPs on the platform, and just closed our $35M Series B in May 2026. We're looking for ambitious people who want real ownership of hard problems, and who care about building infrastructure that actually matters to the people using it. ____ At bunch, we're committed to an inclusive environment where diversity is valued and celebrated. We provide equal opportunities to all qualified applicants. We process personal data in line with applicable laws (including GDPR). Healthcare is in crisis and the people behind the results deserve better. With more and more data coming from wearables, lab tests, and patient–doctor interactions, we’re entering an era where data is abundant. Junction is building the infrastructure layer for diagnostic healthcare, making patient data accessible, actionable, and automated across labs and devices. Our mission is simple but ambitious: use health data to unlock unprecedented insight into human health and disease. If you're passionate about how technology can supercharge healthcare, you’ll fit right in. Backed by Creandum, Point Nine, 20VC, YC, and leading angels, we’re working to solve one of the biggest challenges of our time: making healthcare personalized, proactive, and affordable. We’re already connecting millions and scaling fast. Short on time? TL;DR You: A high-agency CSM who makes things happen without being asked, is comfortable in commercial conversations, and gets genuinely energized by a technically complex product in a mission-driven space Us: A CS team of 4 managing ~40 accounts each, scaling into new segments and raising the bar on how we serve customers Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 base + bonus + equity Location: Fully remote (EST timezone required) Why we need you Our customer base spans digital health platforms, wearable companies, and health systems – and we’re growing fast in all three. Our CS team is great, but we’re stretched - so we’re on the path to make shifts. The reactive work gets done — onboarding questions, troubleshooting, support coordination. The proactive work is where we’re falling behind: running useful QBRs, spotting expansion opportunities, and catching churn risks early. This hire is about adding someone with real horsepower. You’ll own a focused book of business – primarily in our digital health segment – from onboarding all the way through renewal and expansion. You’re comfortable in commercial conversations: talking about pricing, pushing on upsell opportunities, and making the case for value when a customer is on the fence. You adapt your approach depending on who you’re talking to – a technical founder needs a completely different conversation than a head of ops, and you can tell the difference quickly. You’ll also need to genuinely enjoy learning how things work. Junction’s product is technical – APIs, data integrations, health data workflows – and the best person for this role is curious about that, not intimidated by it. You’ll work closely with our CS Leader and feed directly into product and engineering with what you’re hearing from customers. What you’ll be doing day to day * Own a portfolio of 25–40 accounts across our digital health and mid-market segment * Run onboarding for new customers and get them to their first meaningful milestone as quickly as possible * Conduct quarterly business reviews that are actually useful – not just status updates, but conversations that move things forward * Proactively identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities and work with our sales team to close them * Build a real pulse on account health – usage data, engagement signals, renewal risk – and get ahead of problems before they become urgent * Be the voice of your customers internally. Bring patterns, feedback, and frustrations to product and engineering in a way they can act on * Help define what great CS looks like for wearable and digital health customers – this is still evolving and you’ll have a real hand in shaping it * Bring a point of view on how AI tools can make CS work faster and smarter - we have budget and appetite to build this into how the team operates How we measure success The metrics that matter most for this role: * Renewal rate across your book of business * Expansion revenue from upsells and cross-sells * Time-to-value (TTV) for new customers – how quickly they hit their first milestone * Customer satisfaction (NPS/CSAT) across your accounts What we’re looking for * High agency: You don’t wait to be told what needs doing. You spot problems, form a view, and act. You have examples of things you went after in a previous role that nobody asked you to do. * Commercial confidence: You’re comfortable having pricing and renewal conversations directly. You know how to make the case for value, push on upsell opportunities, and hold a number without hiding behind ‘I’ll loop in sales.’ * Adaptability: You read the room quickly and flex your approach. A technical founder and a VP of operations need completely different conversations, and you know how to have both. * Technical curiosity: You’ve worked with a technical product – APIs, developer tools, data platforms, or similar – and you actually enjoyed getting into how it works. You have a method for learning things you don’t understand yet. * CS experience: 3–6 years owning accounts end-to-end. You’ve managed 20–50 accounts at a time and know how to stay on top of them without things slipping. * Early-stage background: You’ve worked at a Seed through Series C company. Things were ambiguous, processes were still being built, and that energized you rather than frustrated you. * Bring a point of view on how AI tools can make CS work faster and smarter — we have budget and appetite to build this into how the team operates. You don’t need to tick every box to fit in here. If the problems we’re solving genuinely interest you and you know you can contribute, we’d love to talk. What this role isn’t * You want a fully defined playbook from day one – we’re still building ours and you’ll have a hand in writing it * You prefer reactive CS – most of the value in this role comes from going out and making things happen, not responding to inbound * You’re not comfortable owning commercial conversations – renewals, upsells, and pricing discussions are part of the job, not something to escalate away * You want to specialize – you’ll touch onboarding, retention, expansion, and internal feedback loops, often in the same week * Technical products make you uncomfortable – Junction’s API-first platform requires genuine curiosity about how things work, not just a surface-level understanding How you'll be compensated * Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 base + bonus + equity * Your salary is dependent on your location and experience level * Equity (extended exercise post 2 years of employment) * Company and team offsites * Monthly learning budget of $150 for personal development and productivity * $100 monthly wellness budget * Flexible, remote-first working - including $1K for home office equipment * Coworking budget * 36 days paid time off (including bank holidays) * Premium healthcare coverage * 4% monthly contribution to pension/401k * Yearly blood test on us * Enhanced parental, foster, and adoption leave Important details before applying: * We only hire folks physically based in GMT and EST timezones - more information here * We do not sponsor visas right now given our stage
