About 9fin 9fin is the AI platform powering global debt markets — the world’s largest asset class at over $145 trillion. Debt markets are vast, global, and mission-critical, yet still run on fragmented data, PDFs, and manual workflows. 9fin replaces this broken infrastructure with a single platform that centralises proprietary credit data, deep analysis, and high-value workflows across global markets. Today, 9fin powers teams at 300+ blue-chip institutions worldwide, including global banks, asset managers, private equity firms, law firms, and advisors. The business is scaling at exceptional speed, with rapid expansion in the US and best-in-class retention driven by deep workflow adoption. We’re at a defining inflection point. With proven product-market fit and strong, global market pull, 9fin is accelerating toward becoming the category-defining platform for debt markets worldwide. THE OPPORTUNITY 9fin has built one of the most comprehensive datasets in credit and debt markets: news, financials, cap tables, instrument data, legal documents, and ESG analysis. Today, most clients access that data through 9fin.com. But a large and growing segment of the market wants to consume our data programmatically to power firm-level workflows at scale: a negative news signal triggers an automated credit review, updated financials trigger a portfolio rebalance, a covenant keyword triggers a sanctions flag. These buyers (quant desks, data engineering teams, systematic investors, risk and compliance functions) will never log into a web application. They need APIs, data feeds, and cloud-native delivery through platforms like Snowflake. At comparable financial data providers, this distribution channel represents 20-30% of total revenue. 9fin is at the beginning of this journey. The challenge is to turn 9fin's integrated dataset into a portfolio of standalone data products with a coherent commercial strategy. You will define how the data gets packaged (what goes together, what stands alone, how it's tiered and priced), the order in which products go to market, and the commercial models that fit each buyer segment: quant desks, data engineering teams, risk and compliance functions, and systematic investors. You will work in lockstep with the Head of Pre-Sales, who owns technical validation and deal execution, to ensure that what you build maps to how these buyers actually evaluate and procure data. The first candidates pan news content, financials and cap tables, instrument data, and legal data (complex, high-value, and genuinely unsolved at the data representation layer). You will work cross-functionally across our platform teams, analytics engineering, and the domain squads that own the underlying datasets. You will also work closely with Sales to support a fundamentally different GTM motion: solution-selling with partner clients, joint POCs, multi-stakeholder deals, and usage-based commercial models rather than seat-based subscriptions. This is a 0-to-1 build. If you have built API or data products before and want to do it again in a market where the opportunity is wide open, this is it. WHAT YOU'LL DO PRODUCT STRATEGY & EXECUTION * Define the product vision and strategy for 9fin's external data distribution: APIs, data shares, and future delivery mechanisms (cloud sync, pub/sub). * Own the data catalogue decisions: which datasets to expose, in what format, through which channels, and in what order, balancing client demand, data readiness, and commercial potential * Design the developer experience end-to-end: API design, documentation, developer portal, sandbox/playground, error handling, rate limiting, and versioning * Work with analytics engineering and domain teams to define schemas, data models, and transformation logic that make 9fin's data consumable and valuable outside the application * Use a partner model to validate early: select and work closely with 1-2 clients during development to co-develop and prove out each data product before broader launch * Shape the commercial model for API products: packaging, tiering, usage-based pricing, distribution controls, and entitlement structures that capture the value of programmatic data access DATA QUALITY, INFRASTRUCTURE & COMPLIANCE * Partner with the Head of Analytics to ensure data products meet the reliability, freshness, and accuracy standards that enterprise clients building automated systems expect * Define SLAs for data delivery (latency, uptime, completeness) and build the monitoring and metering infrastructure to back them up * Own the entitlements and access control layer: ensuring the right clients can access the right data under the right contractual terms, with appropriate usage limits and controls * Work with Legal to define data usage policies, including restrictions on redistribution, AI training and model embedding, and onward use, protecting 9fin's data IP while enabling legitimate client workflows * Establish feedback loops between API consumers and domain teams so that usage patterns and client requests improve the underlying data over time Cross-Functional Leadership & GTM * Coordinate across platform engineering, analytics engineering, domain squads, and the Head of Analytics to align priorities and ship a cohesive product without a dedicated squad * Influence teams you do not manage; build relationships that make cross-functional delivery work despite competing priorities * Support the shift to a solution-selling GTM motion: work with Sales and Customer Success on partner selection, POC design, technical onboarding, and commercial structuring for API deals * Engage directly with enterprise clients and their technical teams during pilots and integrations; this is a client-facing role, not a back-office one * Communicate strategy, progress, and trade-offs transparently to leadership, engineering, and commercial teams * Translate technical API and data infrastructure concepts into language that non-technical stakeholders (Sales, Legal, Finance) can act on WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR * 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years building API products, data platforms, or data distribution products at a B2B company * Experience designing APIs for external consumers: you have opinions on schema design, versioning strategies, rate limiting, and what makes developer documentation actually useful * Track record of shipping data products where you managed the full lifecycle: from defining what data to expose, through schema design, to commercial packaging and client onboarding * Understanding of data infrastructure concepts: data pipelines, warehouses, ETL/ELT, data modelling, and platforms like Snowflake * Comfortable with SQL and Python and capable of interrogating data to validate quality, understand usage patterns, and inform product decisions * Experience working in a solution-selling or partner-led GTM model: you have been involved in POCs, pilots, or co-development with enterprise clients, not just self-serve product launches * Proven ability to lead cross-functionally without a dedicated team: you coordinate across engineering, data, and commercial functions through influence, not authority * Strong commercial instinct: you understand how enterprise data buyers evaluate providers, and you can shape a product that competes on data quality, coverage, and ease of integration * Clear communicator who can translate between technical and commercial audiences NICE TO HAVE * Familiarity with credit markets, debt instruments, or how buy-side/sell-side firms consume financial data * Experience with Snowflake data sharing, marketplace listings, or similar cloud data distribution mechanisms * Experience building entitlements, licensing, or access control systems for data products * Understanding of data licensing, redistribution terms, or AI usage policies in the context of enterprise data products BENEFITS * Competitive, market-benchmarked salary * Pension with 7% company matching * Private medical insurance, paid sick leave, income protection, group life assurance * Season ticket and cycle-to-work schemes * Hybrid flexibility with up to 3 months annual work abroad * 25 holiday days plus local public holidays (exchangeable) * One-month paid sabbatical after 5 years; enhanced parental leave * Professional development budget and regular social events 9fin is an equal opportunities employer At 9fin we are dedicated to building and promoting a fair and inclusive workplace where everyone can reach their full potential and truly belong. We recognize that building diverse teams enables a more creative and productive environment. If you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t perfectly align with the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You might just be who we’re looking for — either for this role, or perhaps another.
SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER — CANDIDATE & RECRUITER PLATFORM Remote (ET & CT time zones only – some travel required) About Us Clasp is a venture-backed, mission-driven startup transforming access to education and career pathways. We are revolutionizing the way employers attract and retain critical talent and the way colleges and universities support their students through education financing — all while tackling the student debt crisis. (Yep, we think BIG.) We like to think of ourselves as more than a fintech; we're a catalyst for economic mobility. A Forbes Fintech 50 company, portfolio company of SHRM (Society of Human Resource Management — the largest HR organization out there!) and recipient of "Startup of the Year" by StartUp Boston, Clasp is driven by our commitment to social impact and innovation. Our work spans two business lines: Clasp Talent helps healthcare employers attract and retain critical talent by connecting them with diverse candidates and using student loan repayment as a powerful recruiting and retention tool. We meaningfully connect employers, educational institutions, and learners to drive mutual benefit. Clasp Finance equips colleges and universities with lending technology to launch and operate their own private student loan programs, enabling schools to step in and support their students directly with financial aid. Join us on our journey to give power to learners and unlock fulfilling careers that drive positive change in their communities and beyond. What We Need Clasp is looking for a Senior Product Manager to own the candidate and recruiter experience within Clasp Talent — the end-to-end product that helps healthcare students find jobs with student loan repayment and gives employers the platform they trust to build long-term clinical pipelines. You will own a two-sided product. On the candidate side, you will drive activation, conversion, and retention across the applicant journey — from a candidate's first discovery of Clasp through onboarding, application, and offer signing. On the employer side, you will own the platform that healthcare employers rely on every day to source candidates, move them through pipelines, and build the talent pipelines that solve their hardest staffing challenges. Both sides are critical. Candidates are the users whose experience defines the product; employers are the customers whose trust drives the business. The Senior Product Manager in this role will care deeply about funnel mechanics and activation while building the platform depth that makes employer teams' daily work better. You will report to the Director of Product, who oversees product across Clasp Talent and Clasp Finance. You will partner closely with leaders in marketing, partner success, design, and engineering, as well as your product teammate who owns the experience that begins after a candidate signs an offer. What You'll Do * Own the Candidate Funnel: Drive activation, conversion, and retention across the entire applicant journey — discovery, account creation, profile completion, application, interview, and offer signing. Set funnel metrics, instrument what matters, and run the experiments that move the needle. * Own the Employer Platform: Own the platform experience that healthcare employers use to source, screen, and place candidates. Recruiters log in every day and their workflow efficiency directly impacts our business. * Build the Network Effect: Identify and ship the features that make each new student more likely to fulfill a commitment to an open role and each new employer more valuable to students. * Deeply Understand Your Users: Spend real time with healthcare students and the recruiters who hire them. Learn what students actually want from their careers and what they fear about the job search. Watch recruiters work and understand the pressures they're under to fill critical roles. Build from what you hear, not from what you assume. * Partner with Marketing: Work closely with student marketing on top-of-funnel performance — landing pages, conversion paths, channel-specific experiences — and own how acquisition handoffs into product. We believe the line between marketing and product should feel seamless. * Collaborate with Partner Success: Work closely with partner success to understand how employers actually use the platform, where they get stuck, and what they need to be successful. Translate employer feedback into product investment. * Run a Disciplined Experimentation Program: Help mature the testing, instrumentation, and analysis practices that allow the team to learn fast and make informed decisions. Bring rigor to how the team measures success. * Champion the Candidate Experience: Represent the candidate's voice in every product decision. Healthcare students deciding whether to commit to an employer are making a meaningful career and financial decision; the experience should reflect that gravity while removing every unnecessary friction. What You'll Need * Experience: 4+ years in product management, with significant time spent on consumer growth, onboarding, activation, and/or two-sided marketplace products. You have shipped work that materially moved a funnel or an activation curve. * Growth Pattern Recognition: You understand funnel mechanics, conversion optimization, experimentation, and instrumentation. You can look at a flow and identify where users drop off, why, and what to test. You have run real experimentation programs, not just one-off A/B tests. * Two-Sided Product Sensibility: You have either worked on a marketplace or platform with two distinct user types, or you have a strong instinct for how to balance competing needs across them. You understand that the user and the customer are not always the same person. * Customer Obsession: You have a track record of getting close to your users — talking to them directly, sitting alongside them as they use your product, and translating that contact into product decisions. You build for real people, not personas in a deck. * Engineering Partnership: You have deep experience partnering with engineering teams. You collaborate with engineers on trade-offs and planning rather than throwing requirements over the wall. * Data Fluency: You are comfortable with funnel analytics, cohort analysis, and experiment design. You can work with data teams to define the right metrics and hold yourself accountable to them. * Cross-Functional Leadership: You partner naturally with marketing, customer success, design, engineering, and analytics. You can align stakeholders with different incentives around shared product goals. * Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, with the ability to explain complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executive leadership and external partners. * Healthcare experience is not required but is a nice-to-have. What We Give In Return * Competitive cash and equity compensation * Health benefits (health, dental, & vision) * Student loan repayment benefits * 401k matching * Commuter benefits * Flexible PTO policy Salary The salary range for this position is competitive and will be commensurate with the candidate's experience, qualifications, and industry knowledge, ranging between $105,000 to $120,000 annually. In addition to the base salary, we offer an attractive equity component as part of our compensation package, providing an opportunity for eligible employees to share in the success and growth of our company. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and benefits packages to attract and retain top talent. Remote Policy To ensure smooth collaboration with the Boston-based team, we are limiting to Eastern/Central timezones with the expectation that it will be Boston hours. Additionally, they must be within 1 hour of a medium hub/ large airport with multiple daily flights to Boston. We are targeting the broader New England area to start as we expect that the candidate to have frequent travel to Boston for onboarding and ongoing collaboration. Closing If you are a driven product manager who obsesses over user experience, runs disciplined experiments, and knows how to build trust with both consumer users and B2B power users, we want to hear from you. Join us in connecting healthcare students with meaningful careers and the financial benefits that change their lives. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees feel valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their unique perspectives and talents. Clasp is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind. We embrace diversity and are dedicated to providing equal employment opportunities to all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
What do we do? Paddle offers digital product companies a completely different approach to their payment infrastructure. Instead of assembling and maintaining a complex stack of payments-related apps and services, we’re a Merchant of Record for our customers. That means we take away 100% of the pain of payment fragmentation. It’s faster, safer, cheaper, and, above all, way better. We’re backed by investors including KKR, FTV Capital, Kindred, Notion, and 83North and serve over 6000 software sellers in 245 territories globally. The Role: We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to shape our churn prevention and retention offering across our payments and billing platform. This is a commercially critical product area at Paddle: the decisions made here directly shape subscription revenue, customer lifetime value, churn rates, and merchant trust in our platform. You will own churn prevention, dunning, and salvage flows, and the customisation layer that lets merchants tailor billing experiences to their own customers and markets. You'll operate as the senior product voice for retention across engineering, design, and commercial leadership, and you'll be expected to set the standard for what we ship and how we think about customer-centric product development at Paddle. You'll work in a trio with a strong engineering lead and an experienced product designer, with regular exposure to Sales, Solutions, Customer Success, Risk, Finance, and Exco. This is an opportunity for an experienced operator who wants to own a product area that genuinely moves the needle on retention and revenue. What you'll do: Strategy & Roadmap Ownership * Own the long-term vision and strategy for retention, grounded in subscriber behaviour, merchant feedback, competitive benchmarks, and Paddle's commercial goals. Translate this into a roadmap you can defend at Exco and to customers. * Make and stand behind tough prioritisation calls across subscription management, churn prevention, offer mechanics, and merchant customisation. * Navigate multi-stakeholder trade-offs where the right answer requires judgement across technical constraints, commercial impact, compliance, and UX. Domain & Subject Matter Expertise * Lead product strategy for dunning, payment recovery, and proactive retention interventions. Define when, how, and what to surface to at-risk customers to extend lifetime value. * Build the surfaces and logic for upsell, cross-sell, and promotional offers within the billing experience. Partner with growth and data teams to personalise and test offer mechanics. * Define and deliver the customisation layer, including branding, language, flow configuration, that lets merchants tailor the buyer experience to their product and audience. * Think like a platform builder: build configurable, extensible surfaces that serve a diverse merchant base without fragmenting the codebase or support burden. Data, Metrics & Commercial Impact * Own the KPIs that matter like retention rate, involuntary churn, offer conversion, incremental revenue; Weave them into the strategic narrative for the business. * Dive into data independently. We don't expect you to wait for an analyst; we expect you to pull the numbers (with AI help where it accelerates you), form a hypothesis, and bring a recommendation. * Use product data to influence business strategy beyond your immediate roadmap: pricing, GTM, risk policy, and customer segmentation. Product Development & Delivery * Lead end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-faceted initiatives without needing oversight. * Define and ensure high standards for your team in all product development stages: discovery, specs, experimentation, launch quality, and impact measurement. * Work in a tight trio with engineering and design to ship fast, instrument well, and iterate based on real customer signals. Use AI tooling to compress the loop from idea to spec to prototype. * Run a continuous programme of optimisation to compound retention and UX gains across high-volume billing surfaces. Stakeholder Management & Storytelling * Align senior stakeholders including Exco, Sales leadership, and key merchants around the product strategy for retention. Tailor the message, never the substance. * Craft compelling written narratives. At this level we expect your docs to be the artefact that drives decisions, not a deck or a meeting. * Be a credible technical partner to engineering on billing logic, integrations, and platform decisions. We'd love to hear from you if: * You're used to owning a high-stakes, commercially critical product area end-to-end with clear, measurable business impact. * You have specific, hands-on experience with payments, billing, or comparable consumer-facing fintech at scale. You understand subscription economics, churn mechanics, dunning strategy, and how small UX changes move retention. * You've worked on high-volume, buyer-facing products where small technical or UX changes have outsized commercial impact, and you can talk through specific wins you've owned. * You're technically credible, comfortable in the details with engineers, and able to reason about billing systems, APIs, and trade-offs without needing them to translate. * You're data-fluent and metrics-led. You don't believe a thing until you've seen the numbers, and you can run your own analysis end-to-end. * You use AI as a daily force multiplier for research, writing, analysis, and building functional prototypes. You can show specific examples of how it has changed the quality and speed of your output. * You've built and shipped in scale-up or startup environments, including zero-to-one work. You're at home with ambiguity, not blocked by it. * You're an outstanding written and verbal communicator. Your writing changes minds. * You're comfortable managing hard trade-offs across merchants, Sales, Engineering, Compliance, and Exco and you stay constructive when the room is tense. * You value regular, in-person collaboration with your team and wider stakeholders. Everyone is welcome at Paddle At Paddle, we’re committed to removing invisible barriers, both for our customers and within our own teams. We recognise and celebrate that every Paddler is unique and we welcome every individual perspective. As an inclusive employer we don’t care if, or where, you studied, what you look like or where you’re from. We’re more interested in your craft, curiosity, passion for learning and what you’ll add to our culture. We encourage you to apply even if you don’t match every part of the job ad, especially if you’re part of an underrepresented group.
