TAX PROCESS AND OPERATIONS LEAD ABOUT THE TEAM SumUp's Tax function sits at the heart of a business that has recently moved into a tax-payable position across more than 35 entities, menaing cash tax is now a material line item that the CFO, finance leadership, and investors need to forecast, manage, and explain with precision. The Tax team is responsible for corporate income tax and transfer pricing compliance across the group, and is now building the infrastructure to match the scale and scrutiny that comes with that responsibility. This is a build role. As Tax Process and Operations Lead, you'll own the design and implementation of SumUp's tax accounting and financial reporting framework from the ground up, creating the methodology, models, controls, and tooling that underpin how tax positions flow into financial statements, management reporting, and cash forecasting. You’ll lead the end-to-end design of how tax technical positions are translated into financial reporting, management reporting, and cash forecasting outputs — partnering closely with Tax, Accounting, Controlling, FP&A, and Treasury to define the processes, controls, data flows, and automation requirements that make this scalable across the group. If you're energised by building something that genuinely matters, and doing it in a live, deadline-driven environment — this role is for you.
