This role is part of our Experience & Engineering team in Germany. We combine technology and experience design to create emotive
yet conversion-focused ideas, products, and campaigns at scale and speed. Our specialty is digital experiences and communication
that change perceptions and shape new behaviours to make a difference in the market.
For our team in Hamburg or Berlin we are looking for a Client Director (div/f/m) who will look after our accounts with a high

JOB PURPOSE The Media Account Director is the strategic engine of our client relationships. You don't just manage accounts; you act as a vital business partner, translating commercial objectives into high-impact media strategies. Leading a high-performing, multi-channel team, you will deliver innovative, data-driven, full-funnel strategies that drive client success while ensuring agency growth and sustained profitability. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Serve as the senior point of contact, navigating complex stakeholder environments and fostering enduring, high-level partnerships. * Act as the ultimate point of resolution for critical account issues, providing decisive leadership and conflict mediation to turn challenges into opportunities for trust-building. * Identify and convert organic growth opportunities within your portfolio and lead high-stakes pitches for new business. * Take full ownership of the financial health of your portfolio. This includes the estimation, creation, and rigorous review of budgets and pricing models for new services, ensuring all proposals are both competitive for the client and profitable for the agency. * Manage a portfolio of key accounts with precision, overseeing forecasting, budgeting, and strategic resource allocation. * Mentor and develop a team of Account Managers, fostering a culture of curiosity and excellence. You will empower your client's team to be proactive and build strong partnerships with clients counterparts. * Collaborate with Analytics teams to interpret performance data, delivering actionable business insights rather than just "reporting the numbers." WHAT YOU BRING * Extensive experience in sales or account management, including 4+ years within a media agency environment. Proven leadership experience is a significant plus. * Experience in building complex agency proposals for media clients. You must be proficient in scoping new services, calculating resource-based pricing, and maintaining healthy margins. * Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. * Deep experience managing media clients (Retail Media, Amazon, and Marketplaces preferred). * A portfolio demonstrating successful management of accounts exceeding $5M+ in annual media spend, spanning full-funnel strategy and activation. * Expert use of Salesforce and PowerBI. Familiarity with Google Marketing Platform, Meta Business Suite, Amazon Advertising, Pacvue, or Amalytix is highly advantageous. * High emotional intelligence, expert-level negotiation skills, and the ability to translate complex technical jargon for C-suite stakeholders. * A proactive, "hands-on" personality with a flexible, solution-oriented mindset. * Business fluency in both English and German is required. This is a 12 month fixed term contract. JOB PURPOSE As an Account Manager, you will be embedded in-house within the CRM team of one of our key clients, working closely with them to deliver impactful marketing campaigns that drive engagement and conversion. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the end to end management of these campaigns, ensuring they run smoothly from concept through to set up and execution onsite. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Implement and manage CRM marketing initiatives, onsite, in-app, and through push notifications, and email campaigns. * Oversee campaigns from creative brief to execution, ensuring alignment with the client’s CRM strategy. * Handle all operational aspects of campaign set-up and delivery, collaborating with multiple internal teams within our clients organisation. * Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the CRM activities, ensuring they are targeted and optimised for maximum customer engagement. * Provide detailed performance reports and insights to Marketing Managers, sharing key learnings to improve future CRM strategies and initiatives. * Act as the main point of contact for the client’s CRM needs, understanding and anticipating their requirements throughout the campaign process. * Collaborate with the creative team to develop engaging CRM-focused creative assets. * Assist with various ad-hoc operational tasks as required. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR * Experience managing end-to-end CRM-driven digital campaigns. * Understanding of data-driven CRM marketing, including email, customer segmentation, and onsite promotions. * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and act as a trusted partner to the client. * Expertise in writing clear, actionable creative briefs for CRM projects. * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while keeping stakeholders informed and on track. * Flexibility to adapt to evolving plans and priorities in a dynamic environment. * Highly organised with a keen eye for detail, able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting. * A proactive, self-starting attitude with a focus on creativity and problem-solving. * Results-oriented with a strong drive to deliver and optimise CRM outcomes. * Fluency in both German and English is required. As a Media Strategy Director (m/f/div) at DEPT®, you will be the connecting link between our client's business objectives and our agency's comprehensive service portfolio. You will work closely with our Client Service team to create and implement strategic plans for well-known brands in our client portfolio and help them navigate through the ever-evolving digital landscape. You will be the main driver for developing long-term digital marketing strategies including communication, performance, and media tactics in collaboration with our channel & tech experts. Together with our client service team, you present your team's work & ideas eloquently in workshops, QBRs, or other formats to our clients and partners. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Create influential and powerful strategies for our clients, ensuring that we continue to be pushing them to be the most advanced, efficient and effective brands in the fields they operate within; * Collaborate with clients to understand their business goals, target audience, and industry landscape; * Translate insights derived from data into a clear story to convince the client; * Develop innovative and data-driven digital marketing strategies that align with client objectives; * Work closely together with our specialists (like SEA, SEO, CRM, Data and Social Advertising Consultants); * Leverage a deep understanding of marketing, technology, and innovation to create comprehensive plans that drive measurable results; * Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal execution of campaigns and projects; * Drive our internal knowledge and be on the forefront of creating new propositions and best practices; * Stay ahead of industry trends and best practices to ensure our strategies remain cutting-edge; * Lead and participate in local and global new business projects. WHAT YOU BRING * Fluency in both German and English; * Located and available to directly start working from our offices in Hamburg, Berlin or Cologne; * Professional experience as a digital planner, communications or media strategist; * Knowledge of the technical as well as creative capabilities of the most popular digital marketers/networks (Search, Social, Display, Mobile, DOOH, etc); * Independently conducts consumer research, develops data-based target group insights and derives holistic communication strategies, campaign plans, channel and media recommendations from these insights; * Can explain complex data and information in an easy and understandable manner to clients; * Are a networker and because of this you are able to bring together our different disciplines and specialists; * Have a high sense of responsibility and enjoy working independently; * Approach new tasks proactively and pragmatically.
