ABOUT WOLT At Wolt, we create technology that brings joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we’re building the delivery of (almost) everything and you’ll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe. Working at Wolt isn’t always easy, but it’s definitely exciting. Here you’ll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You’ll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life. At Wolt, our mission is to bring joy, simplicity, and earnings to neighborhoods — and our restaurant partners are at the heart of that mission. In Germany, our Post Activation team owns the most decisive stretch of a merchant's journey: the first weeks after they go live, when the right support turns a new partner into a thriving, long-term business on Wolt. We're now hiring a Team Lead for Post Activation. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll guide a team of specialists across our German offices, helping newly launched merchants find their footing, grow their orders, and stay available to customers from day one. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING As Team Lead for Post Activation, you'll own how thousands of merchants experience their first 28 days on Wolt. You'll lead a distributed team responsible for early merchant success — measured by whether partners reach their Magic Moment, stay reliably online, and build the habits that set them up to grow long after the post-activation window closes. Your focus will be on merchant outcomes, team development, and turning operational and performance insights into better processes across the merchant lifecycle. DAY-TO-DAY IN THIS ROLE YOU’LL: * Lead and develop a team of ~9 Post-Onboarding Success Specialists based across our German offices, owning their coaching, performance, and growth. * Drive the team's core outcomes: Magic Moment achievement (12 orders in the first 28 days), F28D availability, and merchant self-sufficiency (Portal adoption and platform proficiency) across your merchant portfolio. * Set the standard for how the team supports merchants — availability and app usage, menu and image quality, campaign and Ads setup, and platform education that helps partners succeed independently. * Turn performance data into strategy: analyze why venues miss their Magic Moment, size the biggest levers, and decide where the team should focus to move the metric — not case by case, but at portfolio level. * Design scalable processes and playbooks: replace one-off manual work with repeatable workflows, standardized merchant journeys, and self-service enablement, so the team's impact scales beyond individual effort. * Help shape where the function goes next — embracing change and helping develop new ways of measuring and driving merchant success as the business evolves. * Own the feedback loop with Onboarding and partner with Sales, Account Management, Menu, Photo, and Analytics to fix root causes upstream and improve the handover into long-term management. * Recruit, onboard, and coach new team members for long-term success. OUR HUMBLE EXPECTATIONS * 5+ years of experience in account management, merchant/customer success, or operations, including proven experience leading and developing a team * Experience leading distributed or multi-location teams, ideally across different sites or regions * Strong analytical and strategic thinking: you can dig into performance data, identify what's driving results, and translate findings into clear priorities and action * A track record of owning performance metrics and improving them through structured, scalable solutions rather than one-off fixes * Proficiency with analytics and BI tools such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau * Strong prioritization and organizational skills, and sound judgment in a fast-changing environment * Comfort with ambiguity and change, treating evolving priorities and new metrics as an opportunity rather than a disruption * Excellent communicator in both German and English * Willingness to travel regularly to other German offices to support your team on the ground * Bachelor's or Master's degree WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU * A chance to shape how Wolt sets up thousands of restaurant partners for success across Germany * Full ownership and accountability in a fast-moving environment * Independent work in a dynamic, international team * A fast-growing tech company with many career opportunities * Attractive salary package * A local office in Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Frankfurt, or Munich * Discount on Wolt orders * Modern work equipment * Various soft drinks, coffee and fruits in the office * Urban Sports Club membership subsidy * Deutschland Ticket subsidy * Weekly all-hands meetings and regular team events * Flexible working hours policy + 30 days of paid vacation NEXT STEPS If you're excited about working in a high-growth environment, taking ownership, and being part of an extremely ambitious team, then click below to apply and get the conversation going! We review applications on a rolling basis and will reach out to candidates whose profiles stand out. The process includes a call with our Talent Acquisition team, interviews with the hiring manager, and a final practical case round. OUR COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION We’re committed to growing and empowering a more inclusive community within our company, industry, and cities. That’s why we hire and cultivate diverse teams of people from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life. Do you enjoy challenging the status quo and owning development projects that change the way things are done? Are you a problem‑solver with strong analytical skills who is just as comfortable in the data as you are getting buy‑in from people? Are you a team player who is not afraid of responsibility and ownership? If yes — read on! Wolt is a technology company best known for restaurant food delivery. We’re on a path to make Wolt the preferred everyday shopping destination, the place people turn to for whatever they need, whenever they need it. New Verticals, such as grocery and pharmacy, and Wolt Drive, our delivery-as-a-service, are key drivers of our growth. In this role, you get to shape the future of Wolt by improving New Verticals and Drive businesses. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING New Verticals (NV) and Drive Operations is a newly established function within our Global Delivery Operations team. You will be the second person to join this function, in which our focus is on managing the trade-offs between NV & Drive costs and quality. We work directly with the NV & Drive leadership teams and the Regional Delivery Operations teams. You will own projects that allow us to achieve our growth and profitability targets. DAY-TO-DAY IN THIS ROLE YOU’LL: * Own operational development initiatives end‑to‑end that improve how efficiently and reliably we deliver New Verticals and Drive orders — for example, reducing the unnecessary cloning of orders across multiple couriers, or reducing vehicle misreporting so the right couriers are matched to the right orders. * Analyze data, build and maintain the dashboards and tracking for our core operational metrics (e.g. delivery cost efficiency and delivery times), and turn analysis into clear, actionable recommendations. * Take initiatives from hypothesis to scale: size the opportunity, design the operational rules and guardrails, run pilots, and sequence rollouts across cities and countries. * Win cross‑functional buy‑in: align stakeholders who don’t report to us (Support, Regional delivery operations, Merchant and commercial teams) behind clear, data‑backed proposals. OUR HUMBLE EXPECTATIONS * Ability to own projects and drive them over the finish line independently, from idea to measurable impact. * Strong analytical skills: comfortable analyzing, modelling and visualising data with spreadsheets/similar to find insights and make decisions * AI fluency: experience with tools like Claude Code, Cursor and curiosity for leveraging AI to enhance your work. * Collaborative spirit and the ability to thrive in a cross-functional, dynamic environment. * A structured, self‑critical thinker who separates assumptions from facts, sweats the details, and doesn’t stop until there’s clarity. * A strong communicator who can influence and align people across teams without formal authority. * A bias to action — progress over perfection — and comfort operating in a fast‑paced, ambiguous, scale‑up environment. * Fluent in English. WHAT WE OFFER You'll join a newly established global team with plenty of room to shape how we work. As one of the first members of the function, you'll own high-impact initiatives from idea to rollout, working closely with Delivery Operations, New Verticals and Drive leadership. If you're motivated by solving complex operational problems at scale and seeing your ideas turn into measurable results, you'll find plenty of opportunities to make an impact here. NEXT STEPS If you’re excited about the opportunity, we’d love to hear from you! Please submit your application and resume in English. The deadline for applications is end of day Tuesday July 21st. The interview process begins with a conversation with Talent Acquisition, followed by a meeting with the hiring manager. As a final step, you'll present a take-home assignment. OUR COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION We’re committed to growing and empowering a more inclusive community within our company, industry, and cities. That’s why we hire and cultivate diverse teams of people from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We believe that true innovation happens when everyone has room at the table and the tools, resources, and opportunity to excel.
Total Compensation Range: €72,930 - €104,550 THE POSITION BER3 is our Berlin flagship - and the site where we pilot the processes, tools, and automation that later scale across the whole Hive network. We're looking for a Site Lead to own it end-to-end: its people, its performance, its P&L, and its standard of excellence. You'll run a site of ~200 associates across all different areas leading through a team of Area Managers. This is a hands-on leadership role - you set the standard on the floor, not from a desk. You're first in and last out when it matters, calm under pressure, and you turn problems into proposals. Your Key Responsibilities: * Own the building end-to-end. Take full accountability for BER3's P&L, productivity, quality, safety and team health. Hitting monthly, quarterly and annual budget targets and treating every cost line and KPI as yours. Flag deviations early with a plan, not a surprise. * Run safe, high-quality daily operations. Keep associates safe and compliant as your first priority. Own order accuracy, customer NPS and health scores. Be visible on the floor, regular Gemba walks, shift-start presence during peaks, and time close to the work and the merchants you serve. * Lead and grow people. Coach your Area Managers with weekly 1:1s, clear growth paths and honest, regular feedback. Build a skills matrix, develop successors, and manage performance in line with our value of caring meritocracy. Keep a motivated team and low churn of your best people. * Drive improvement and innovation. BER3 is Hive's R&D site, so you'll run it with a try-fast, learn-fast mindset, piloting new processes, tools and automation, and turning what works at BER3 into improvements that ship across the network. Bring at least one measurable improvement initiative per quarter. * Communicate and collaborate. Write clearly (SOPs, incident post-mortems), present with structure (leadership reviews, all-hands), and own escalations end-to-end: including a fast, structured response on critical (SEV1) incidents. Partner with HQ, the WMS/product team, and merchant-facing teams. YOUR PROFILE We are looking for someone who has: * Several years leading a fulfillment center, warehouse or 3PL operation at scale, with direct P&L ownership * A genuine hands-on, people-first leadership style and a never-give-up attitude * Strong analytical skills, comfortable with data, able to read a P&L and act on it * A proactive, solution-first problem-solver who surfaces issues early and brings suggestions * A proven track record of building and developing teams, and of working with a diverse, multicultural workforce * Fluent English; German is a strong plus * Nice to have: Lean / Six Sigma or similar continuous-improvement experience; familiarity with WMS systems and an interest in automation/AI in fulfillment; experience standing up new processes or sites OUR OFFERING * Build something that matters: Hive is redefining commerce operations in a €200B+ market. We already reach tens of millions of consumers a year and power 600+ independent brands, and we're just getting started. * Work with exceptional people: a high-performing, ambitious team, many from McKinsey, Amazon, Shopify, Google, TikTok, and Trade Republic. * Grow with Hive: own impactful projects from day one and grow as we scale. We're a meritocracy: your impact drives your progression, not your past titles. * Time to recharge: 30 vacation days a year, plus a paid 20-day sabbatical every three years. * Competitive compensation: market-competitive salary and an equity incentive plan (EIP) for all full-time team members. * Your setup, your choice: a MacBook (or laptop of your choice) plus accessories like an extra monitor or headphones, and a €46/month productivity budget to spend how you work best (from month 4; €23 for interns and working students from month 3). * Food and fitness: free lunch once per week at the Berlin office + daily 50% subsidy on lunch by ChefCoco, free drinks and snacks, and a €20/month Urban Sports Club subsidy for full-time team members. * Flexibility and connection: flexible working hours, internal training led by Hive experts, regular team events (€30/person/month budget), and company-wide multi-day offsites that bring all of Hive together * Extras: partner discounts on Raus stays, gym platforms, and a corporate benefits portal.
