LONG STORY SHORT, YOU WILL We are looking for a mid-level Software Engineer (Java) to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of integrations connecting our platform with external systems. The primary focus of this role is to ensure that all integrations are performance, stable, and fully aligned with our internal standards. You will design and implement reliable backend components that support seamless data flow, system interoperability, and long-term scalability. This position plays a key role in strengthening the technical foundation of our platform by delivering high-quality, compliant, and resilient integration solutions. ALL THE RESPONSIBILITIES WE WILL TRUST YOU WITH: * Collaborate with product owners, designers, and other developers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications. * Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable Java applications. * Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices and coding standards. * Perform unit testing and debugging to ensure the reliability and performance of software applications. * Continuously identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance software functionality and performance. * Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Java development and incorporate them into our projects as appropriate. * Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and other team activities to foster collaboration and learning. * Provide technical support and assistance to other team members as needed. YOUR AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE : * 3+ years of proven experience as a Java Developer, with a strong understanding of OOP principles. * Proficiency in Java programming language and related technologies (e.g., Spring Framework, Hibernate, Maven). * Experience working with RESTful applications and Microservices. * Familiarity with agile methodologies. * Familiarity with database technologies (SQL, MongoDB, Redis) and experience with database design and optimization. * Experience with or interest in using AI development assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, OpenAI Codex ect. * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. * Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for deliverables. YOUR AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE : * Experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS) — from greenfield builds and content architecture design through to platform migrations and re-platforming onto modern, scalable solutions. * 7+ years of experience as a Node.js developer, with a strong understanding of OOP principles and demonstrated experience owning complex backend systems end-to-end. * Expert in Node.js and modern backend development practices, including system design considerations for high-availability and high-throughput environments. * Hands-on experience with Express.js, NestJS, or similar frameworks. * Experience designing and delivering REST APIs, microservices architectures, and integrations with frontend or backoffice interfaces. * Experience using AI development assistants (such as Claude Code, Cursor, OpenAI Codex, etc.) in software delivery workflows. * Strong practical experience with databases such as SQL, MongoDB, or Redis. * Solid understanding of agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban). * Advanced understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and API performance patterns. * Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex, cross-system issues. * Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. * Comfortable taking ownership and driving outcomes in a collaborative environment. This is a hands-on technical leadership role, where you'll combine software architecture with active development. You'll lead the design and evolution of our CMS platform and backend services, make key architectural decisions, and work closely with other engineers to build scalable, reliable, and high-performing solutions.
