SEC REPORTING MANAGER DUBLIN, CA AND/OR MENLO PARK FINANCE FULL-TIME We’re looking for a driven SEC Reporting Manager to manage our SEC reporting function. Reporting to the SEC Reporting Senior Manager, this key position will be responsible for the SEC reporting process, including quarter and year-end reporting, and managing the end-to-end process over equity accounting and disclosures. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Support the preparation of SEC filings (Form 10-Q, 10-K, Proxy, etc.) including managing the review and approval process with external auditors, senior management, legal counsel, disclosure committee and audit committee. * Prepare or review quarterly financial statements. * Prepare disclosure checklists and ensure compliance with all GAAP and disclosure requirements. * Prepare earnings per share calculations. * Prepare or review monthly journal entries, accounting analyses, and reconciliations related to stock-based compensation, stock repurchases and other equity-based transactions. * Manage quarterly reporting, auditor PBC requests, and auditor reviews to ensure timely completion of quarter-end reporting activities. * Drive process improvement opportunities for financial reporting and equity accounting. * Stay up-to-date on changes to accounting standards and proactively identify potential impacts to the Company’s financial statements. * Monitor and revise procedures to ensure the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting and equity accounting. * Ad hoc projects, analysis and reporting as required by management. JOB QUALIFICATION: * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting with CPA license required. * 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a corporate financial reporting role. * Prior Public accounting / audit experience with Big 4 highly desired. * Strong background with SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, XBRL tagging) required, including knowledge of SEC reporting standards. * Experience with public company stock administration and stock-based compensation expense reporting, and Workiva SEC reporting tool preferred. * Excellent project management skills and the ability to collaborate with management and others in the company. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and a great team player. * Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem identification and remediation solutions. * Superior attention to detail. The expectation is that this person works in the Dublin, CA and/or Menlo Park office at least 3 days a week. As a Deal Desk Manager at Snowflake, you’ll be at the forefront of the company’s growth efforts working in close partnership with our Sales organization in the construct, review, approval and negotiation of business opportunities. In addition to this, you will also act as the coordinator between the Sales team and all other corporate functions as business opportunities are evaluated, negotiated and closed. Finally, you’ll develop relationships at all levels and across the entire company in support of your deal function. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Partner with the Sales organization, particularly our Acquisition Accounts Sales team and become a trusted advisor for the deal construct and negotiation process of complex transactions. * Coordinate the flow of information across multiple groups, such as Sales, Services, Legal, Revenue Accounting, Operations, etc. to facilitate the deal process. * Ensure that the execution of the deal review and approval process follows company policies and guidelines. * In partnership with other company functions, help set policies, process and procedures and assist or drive their implementation. * Create and develop the internal relationships with groups across the company to help facilitate the deal process. * Use AI-assisted deal workflows and automation tooling to accelerate review cycles and to analyze deal concession data and commercial trends into structured insights that directly inform Sales leadership decisions REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERTISE: * Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related relevant areas. * 5 years of related experience, in deal desk, finance, contracts or sales operations positions. * Ability to read, understand and draft contractual business terms and conditions. * Understanding of revenue recognition principles and US GAAP. * Ability to break down complex ideas and issues and communicate in simple terms to different levels of the organization. * Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal). * Experience working in a fast-paced environment. * Experience and understanding of the SaaS and Consumption business models. * Strong customer service orientation and a desire to help others succeed. DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERTISE: * MBA or related relevant area. * Previous experience with complex contract negotiations and long sales cycles. Accounting Analyst * Learn about various accounting focus areas (Accruals, Leases, Capitalized Software, etc.) by understanding an underlying business process as well as applicable accounting guidance * Participate in month end close activities, such as preparation of journal entries, reconciliations and variance analyses * Collaborate with various business partners (such as Engineering, FP&A, Workplace) on collecting, analyzing and ensuring integrity of various data used in accounting processes * Assist in various process improvement projects, including automation, user acceptance testing (UAT) and new system and process implementations Procurement * Serve as a Procurement partner and liaison to the business supporting all designated functions, Procurement projects, and vendor onboarding & management * Collaborate with Snowflake’s Legal and Security departments to ensure compliance with requirements and standard contract terms * Measure, manage and improve supplier performance against negotiated SLAs and quality metrics * Partner with our Global Contracts team to review Contracts and redline documents * Assist with the management of Snowflake’s supply chain * Help with all aspects of negotiations, including the creation of negotiation plans * Support the Travel and Expense Process Alliances Finance Analyst * Support month end and quarter end close process for Partner programs: prepare accruals, update forecast, perform variance analysis * Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting pack for review with business and finance teams * Review and audit monthly incentives payment calculations and address any gaps * Track and report Partner Programs budget utilization and performance metrics * Perform financial analysis to evaluate ROI for Partner programs * Collaborate with Finance, Alliances Programs team, Sales Operations, IT , legal and Accounting teams to support month end process and execution of Partner Programs * Assist with cross-functional initiatives, focused on supporting Alliances leadership to design, build, and scale Snowflake’s GTM programs * Ensure compliance and alignment to Partner programs governance and Internal Audit Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth.
