ABOUT THE ROLE The Director, Event Partnerships (Sponsorship) will own the development and execution of Snowflake's exhibitorship sales and partner engagement strategy, leading a high-performing team to deliver world-class partner event experiences that drive awareness, pipeline impact and community engagement. This includes partner sponsorships, activations and programs at the following key Snowflake-led flagship events: Snowflake Summit, Snowflake World Tours, and the Data for Breakfast series. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Own Regional & Global Event Strategy: Lead end-to-end partner experiences, sponsorships, and logistics for flagship regional and global events across NOAM and LATAM as well as set guidelines for international counterparts. Oversee engagement for major annual programs (averaging 500+ partners per year), partner executive activations, and hospitality/ancillary events. * Drive Prospectus, Revenue & Sales Operations: Design, price, and launch annual Partner Sponsorship Packages and Promotional Opportunity prospectuses. Partner with finance and leadership to set revenue targets, manage forecasting, handle custom requests, and scale recurring annual partnership revenue. Understand – and report on – buyer journey, industry trends, white space sales opportunities, and build long-range pipeline projection plans. * Maximize Partner Enablement & ROI: Host internal and external executive councils to gather feedback for continuous program optimization. * Establish Global Standards & Legal Frameworks: Develop global project timelines, standardized guidelines, workflows, and enablement kits to ensure a consistent partner experience. Collaborate with legal teams to establish rules, regulations, and T&Cs for each event cycle. * Lead Teams & Agency Partners: Direct a cross-functional internal workflow team managing contracting, invoicing, and platform operations. Serve as the primary manager for tier-one external event production agencies, onboarding and leading extended agency teams. * Optimize Through Data & Collaboration: Partner across global marketing and regional sales teams to align on priorities and cross-functional deadlines. Produce comprehensive post-event recap decks, financial reporting, and KPI analytics for stakeholders. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR * 12+ years of experience in B2B corporate sponsorship events, with 3+ years in senior leadership roles managing large-scale partner programs, sponsorship revenue, and high-performing teams. * Proven revenue generator with experience designing sponsorship prospectuses, managing complex sales operations, and establishing multi-year financial targets within the enterprise technology or SaaS space. * Exemplary operational leader capable of managing massive logistical footprints, complex budgets, and large external agency teams (e.g., managing 15+ agency reps). * A natural connector and collaborator who seamlessly brings constituents from across departments and global organizations together to move towards a common set of goals. * A visionary with a problem-solving mindset who has the ability to scale processes globally while maintaining a premium partner experience. Build relationships with high-priority AI-native startups * Leverage existing networks and cultivate new relationships to secure introductions to founders of high-potential AI-native startups. * Engage founders through direct outreach, partner referrals, industry events, conferences, and targeted networking opportunities. * Create meaningful founder engagement by connecting startup needs with relevant Snowflake product, go-to-market, and customer opportunities. * Leverage technical knowledge of AI to win trust and build collaboration hypotheses. 2. Prioritize the startup landscape and maintain market intelligence * Develop and maintain a categorized list of high-priority startups, including Tier 1 and Tier 2 companies, based on strategic importance, growth potential, funding, technology trends and alignment with Snowflake. * Continuously monitor venture funding activity, startup formation, product trends, and AI/ML ecosystem shifts to refine prioritization. * Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product, AI Partnerships, Venture, and Solutions Engineering to maintain a unified approach to startup outreach and engagement. 3. Drive growth, adoption, and partnerships on Snowflake * Allocate time strategically, with approximately 80% of efforts focused on Tier 1 startups and 20% focused on other high-potential opportunities. * Facilitate introductions between Tier 1 startup founders and Snowflake Executive Leadership Team members, meaning senior Snowflake leaders who can help deepen strategic relationships. * Provide go-to-market support by helping startups understand how Snowflake enterprise customers may evaluate, adopt, and expand startup solutions. * Support Product-Led Growth, meaning self-serve product adoption and expansion, by promoting Cortex AI products to startups not currently built on Snowflake and creating a path for them to move additional data and workloads onto Snowflake. * Collaborate with Sales and Solutions Engineering teams to help them sell Cortex AI products effectively and understand the consumption patterns, buying motions, and adoption needs of startups. 4.
