The Risk Operations team is looking for an experienced Credit Operations Analyst to join an industry leading global credit
operations team. As a Credit Analyst, you will execute operational processes and scale programs while devising growth friendly

We are looking for someone passionate about commercial credit, the payments ecosystem, and has a strong desire to work
collaboratively with peers and partners in the credit space while building and enhancing processes at scale. This person will work
alongside a global team of analysts and build cross functional partnerships with engineering, strategy, sales, vendor management
and more. The right candidate for this role should have an understanding of general credit principals, risk management, and credit
modeling. Successful candidates for the role will have a minimum of four years experience in credit operations within the
payments, fintech, or financial service spaces.

The function of the Risk Shift Leader is to handle risk queries raised by any internal or external parties. The aim is to provide an experienced and hands on approach to Risk analyst escalations and functions whilst also offering an outstanding customer service experience by putting the customer first in every action and facilitate internal communications to relevant parties. The Role As a Staff Credit Policy Analyst for Home Loans will lead the design, governance, and continuous evolution of SoFi’s credit policy framework across Conforming, Government (FHA/VA/USDA), Closed-End Seconds (CES), and Portfolio products. This leader will own the strategic direction and operational oversight of credit policy development, ensuring all underwriting criteria are risk-aligned, investor-compliant, and digitally executable. In this role, you will provide strategic oversight of policy research, system automation, and audit readiness while fostering innovation in digital underwriting and credit enablement.What You’ll Do Credit Policy Leadership & Strategy * Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of SoFi’s home lending credit policies, ensuring they align with enterprise risk appetite, investor standards, and business objectives. * Define and manage the credit policy governance framework, including approval processes, documentation standards, and version control practices. * Partner with senior leadership to identify emerging credit risk trends and recommend proactive policy adjustments. * Oversee the roadmap for credit automation and decisioning logic to enable efficient, consistent underwriting outcomes. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence * Serve as the primary liaison between Credit Risk, Capital Markets, Product, and Operations to align on policy design, implementation, and investor acceptance. * Represent Credit Policy in governance committees, product development discussions, and cross-functional steering groups. * Provide executive-level insights on credit trends, investor changes, and policy performance metrics. Operational Excellence & System Enablement * Direct the translation of credit policy into executable business rules within systems such as Encompass LOS and credit decisioning engines. * Oversee UAT, policy-driven releases, and control validation to ensure digital accuracy and audit compliance. * Ensure policy language and logic are harmonized across internal guides, overlays, and automated systems. Governance, Risk & Compliance * Establish and maintain strong governance around policy management, including audit trails, documentation, and version tracking. * Oversee investor guideline vetting, agency updates, and compliance acceptability reviews. * Partner with Internal Audit and Enterprise Risk to ensure controls are effective and deficiencies are remediated promptly. * Lead responses to external reviews, investor inquiries, and audit examinations related to credit policy. Team Development & Mentorship * Provide mentorship and direction to policy analysts and cross-functional partners supporting policy execution. * Foster a culture of curiosity, accountability, and precision within the credit policy function. * Build scalable processes and tools to improve policy delivery speed and accuracy. What You’ll Need * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience * 8+ years of residential mortgage experience, including deep expertise in underwriting, credit policy, or credit risk management * Proven experience leading or influencing credit policy frameworks across multiple mortgage product lines (Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, Home Equity, Non-Agency, Non-QM) * Demonstrated success in translating complex investor requirements into automated decision logic and operational guidelines * Strong understanding of credit risk management principles, income and asset analysis, and regulatory compliance * Experience working with Encompass LOS and credit decisioning systems * Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and external investors * Exceptional organizational, documentation, and leadership abilities Preferred Qualifications * Experience leading policy modernization or digital transformation initiatives in mortgage credit * Familiarity with model governance, risk control frameworks, and policy automation technologies * Strong analytical and data fluency using Excel, Tableau, or similar tools * Demonstrated ability to influence executive decision-making through data-driven recommendations Compensation and Benefits The base pay range for this role is listed below. WHAT YOU'LL BRING * Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience). * 5–7 years of compliance experience supporting consumer banking, credit cards, consumer lending, or other regulated financial products. * Strong working knowledge of consumer financial regulations, including Regulation Z, Regulation E, UDAAP, FCRA, ECOA/Reg B, and related banking regulations. * Experience reviewing marketing materials, customer communications, and product launches from a regulatory compliance perspective. * Experience supporting complaint management, audits, and regulatory examinations. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence partner teams (Product, Legal, Operations, and Risk). * Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet key regulatory deadlines. * Proven ability to assess and manage compliance risks for novel or undefined financial features, translating evolving regulatory guidance into clear, actionable requirements for product teams. * Self-motivated and collaborative, with a drive to build compliant, customer-focused financial products. * Ability to view Compliance as a strategic business partner that supports new product development while effectively managing regulatory risk.
