YOUR MISSION: Fidectus is seeking a Sales Manager to expand our presence across the European energy trading market by generating qualified opportunities, developing relationships within target accounts, and supporting the progression of strategic opportunities. This is a highly commercial role combining outbound prospecting, industry networking, customer engagement and opportunity development. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Sales and wider commercial team to build market coverage, create pipeline and develop long-term customer relationships across Europe. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Market Development & Pipeline Generation * Build relationships across target accounts in European energy and commodity markets. * Generate qualified opportunities through a combination of outbound prospecting, referrals, partner engagement and industry networking. * Attend conferences, customer meetings and industry events across Europe. * Research target accounts and identify key stakeholders across trading, operations, back office, settlement, risk and technology functions. * Consistently generate qualified pipeline opportunities. Opportunity Development * Support discovery conversations and qualification activities. * Progress selected opportunities independently. * Coordinate with senior sales leadership on strategic accounts. * Maintain momentum through clear next actions and stakeholder engagement. Account & Territory Development * Develop structured coverage plans for target markets and strategic accounts. * Build relationships with customers, prospects, partners and industry participants. * Identify expansion opportunities within existing and prospective accounts. Commercial Operations * Maintain excellent CRM hygiene and account intelligence. * Track pipeline development, meetings, and commercial activity. * Contribute market feedback and competitive intelligence. THE ROLE The sales trader has to develop mid and senior-level relationships with top-class companies (utilities, project developers, corporates, generators and industrials) and actively close transactions that meet the clients and Caely demands. The teams, including your personal, performance is measured with an annual ambitious sales plan. The ambition is to grow as an individual and as a company in this exciting and rapidly growing market. You will be responsible for trading products such as carbon offsets (voluntary and obligatory), renewable power and gas certificates, energy efficiency certificates, transport quota’s, amongst others. We help our clients reduce their environmental (future risk) positions, maximize their output while utilizing and building our network. YOUR EXPERTISE: To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and attributes * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. * Minimum of 3 to 6 years of experience in deal origination, business development, or a related field, preferably within the sustainability or energy sector. * Fluency in Mandarin and English is preferred * Experience in B2B sales, business development, account management, or other commercial roles. * Experience in tech sales, SaaS, energy, commodities, sustainability, or other fast-paced commercial environments would be an advantage, but is not required. * Demonstrated commercial curiosity, resilience, and a desire to build long-term client relationships. * Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. * Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities and develop innovative solutions. * Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse customer needs, market trends, and business opportunities. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. * High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
