About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Model Geometry Engineer to join a highly skilled design and development team responsible for the geometry creation and refinement of both interior and exterior automotive design models. The role involves supporting the development of physical and digital presentation models, including full-scale clay models, milled components, and 3D-printed parts used throughout the design and validation process. This position requires close collaboration with designers, modelers, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure high-quality geometry delivery that meets project requirements and timing. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and maintain geometry for interior and exterior design models. * Create and modify presentation models, color and trim bucks, and show models. * Prepare and optimize CAD data for milling, prototype construction, and 3D printing. * Support the development of full-scale clay models and other physical design representations. * Ensure geometry quality, manufacturability, and compliance with project standards. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams throughout the design process. * Contribute to prototype and show vehicle development activities. Requirements: 5–10 years of experience working with CATIA V5 within the automotive industry. * Strong experience in prototype construction and geometry development using CATIA V5 or similar CAD platforms. * Proven background in developing: * Show cars and concept vehicles * Milling models * 3D printing models * Presentation and design validation models * Strong understanding of automotive design and model development processes. * Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal. About the assignment: We are now looking for a senior consultant for our customer in advanced technology development, where you will work with complex and safety-critical systems. The assignment is an important part of the customer's development and management work and involves close collaboration in cross-functional teams throughout the product life cycle. In the role, you will work both operationally and supportively in the design process. A large part of the work consists of troubleshooting, support and analysis, where you support other designers and contribute to integration and production. You work with products in different phases – from new development to further development and maintenance of existing systems. The role requires that you can switch between independent work and close collaboration with colleagues in different technical areas. Duties include: Participate in electrical design and understand and work with electrical schematics at circuit and system level Hardware-related programming and development, mainly in Codesys (IEC61131-3) and Python Troubleshooting, analysis and technical support for development, integration and production Work with CAN/CANopen-based systems Ensure that the work follows established processes and guidelines Manage products and work in an environment with high demands on confidentiality and security Requirements At least 8 years of experience in a relevant field Solid experience of CAN and CANopen Strong background in hardware-related programming, e.g. C/C++ Experience of development in Codesys (IEC61131-3) and Python Good understanding of safety-critical real-time systems Experience of electrical design and ability to read and understand electrical schematics at circuit and system level Good knowledge of measurement techniques and troubleshooting Ability to work independently, in a structured way and make your own decisions Good communication skills and experience of collaborating in teams Meritorious Experience with power electronics Knowledge of system safety according to EN13849 Other information Location: Gothenburg Work model: On-site Assignment period: Ongoing assignment with the possibility of extension Submission deadline: May 29 The assignment is security classified and requires approved security clearance before start-up You will work in a modern development environment with tools such as Codesys IDE, CAN analysis tools, Jira/Confluence, Clearcase and both Windows and Linux environments.
