Description Position Overview Automus is seeking an Oracle Fusion Technical Architect . This position leads efforts to support the diverse business needs of each client and the implementations of various Oracle Cloud and E-Business Suite applications utilizing Automus proprietary tools and the Automus methodology. Functions as a team leader for small to large projects and is responsible for managing the technical track on client engagements, defining the technical architecture, and all aspects of extending Oracle Cloud Fusion with a technical solution . Performs varied and complex duties and tasks needing independent judgment to implement Oracle products and technology to meet client needs. Leadership Duties Lead and guide work of technical staff C oach/mentor others to improve their knowledge/ skills Coordinate and provide leadership in development of project plans, analysis, design, and development of complex mission-critical project implementation Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other team members Research and propose new technologies for improving performance and scalability of applications Lead and participate in implementations, enhancements, and extending Oracle Applications Develop and migrate to new technologies of information systems and functionality, identify strategies and opportunities for innovation and automation Participate in the interview process and provide feedback on applicant qualifications and hiring Work closely with other leads and managers within organization and foster collaborative relationships across team members Requirements Gathering Duties Clear understanding of the implementation life cycle using Oracle Cloud Interact extensively with client through detailed discussions with client’s managers, process owners, and users across various business functions and geographical locations Run design/solution sessions with Automus and client team members Solution, document, test and maintain technical enhancements to Cloud including Reports, Interfaces, Data C onversions, Extensions, Workflows (RICEW) using OIC , standard Oracle APIs and standard tools . Solution standalone applications using Oracle OCI to integrate with Cloud Fusion using appropriate UX design as required Build security requirements and best practices into all solutions given the Client’s security landscape Solution best practices to operationally monitor technical interfaces and extensions Recommend technical architecture and middleware for each Client situation and be able to present and discuss the solution with C-Level staff Prepare design/solution and estimate work efforts for proposed technical solutions Actively contribute to established implementation methodology around RAID logs and any other methods to document risks, actions, issues, and dependencies for the overall project Ensure design/solution is strictly maintained and enhancements are documented clearly , approved, and communicated to all client users including C-level executives through extensive version control management Ensure cross-functional communication to involve other technical and functional consultants and users in making decisions regarding processes that impact multiple technical and functional areas Lead client teams in discussions to adopt best practices in implementing and maintaining technical solutions Analysis, Documentation and Set Up Duties Set up Oracle OCI technical architecture to meet client’s business requirements across the proposed technical solution utilizing DBAs and Cloud Admins as necessary Analyze/research for workarounds and design Extensions / custom solutions to system for requirements that cannot be met with standard solutions Contribute to best practice testing and validation methods for the technical solution Work with business users to test entire process after completing development and resolve all issues reported by users Raise issues with Oracle for analysis and fix of bugs if any standard features of applications are not meeting expectations Resolve issues/needs working with Oracle consultants who work internationally and in some cases around the clock Document that proper coding standards and best practices are used for development and version control and clear instructions produced for migrating into the final/production environment after complete testing, using Automus standards Sales Duties Occasionally the need may arise to collaborate with the Sales/Pre-Sales Team Work with Sales/Pre-Sales Team to develop proposals, product demonstrations, and statements of work Assist in estimating the effort and time required for additional work and other enhancements Maintain effective relationships with multiple clients and/or vendors Assist in maintaining a professional market image for Oracle Cloud Job Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science 10+ years progressive experience in a consulting environment or related industry experience implementing Oracle Applications and Products with a minimum of 5+ years working directly with Oracle Cloud Fusion Applications Experience with complex extensions, standalone applications and other creative solutions with Oracle Cloud Fusion/ OIC/ OCI/ PaaS solution s : define architecture, technical specifications, oversight of development, plan testing and validation , performance testing and develop post go live maintenance plans Knowledge and understanding of SDLC best practices including automated code/configuration build and deployment life cycles as well as code quality and unit testing Practical ex perience with processes and tables and APIs for Oracle Cloud Financials, Supply Chain, HC M and other data sources Practical experience performing integrations between OIC and 3 party applications both inbound and outbound - File based, web service and XML based.
