Please attach your CV in English 💼Key Responsibilities The main purpose of this role is to prepare the tracking systems at the stadium and monitor them during the match. These systems are the Electronic Performance Tracking System (EPTS) and Goal-Line Technology (GLT). You can find the more specific responsibilities here: * Check that there is a fibre connection with all the switches in the stadium rooms and possibly resolve the problems by re-establishing the connections; * Connect the EPTS room with the GLT/VAR (Video Assistant referee) van via the two networks .2 and .3; * Set up and test communication via Dante with Replay Operator (RO), Assistant Replay Operator (ARO), Video Technical Guarantee (VTG) onsite and Technical Guarantee (TG) at the Remote Centre; * Confirm with EPTS and GLT Remote Support that the system is working correctly and possibly follow the provisions deriving from this for troubleshooting; * Calibrate the GLT system before the match, following the relevant checklist and carrying out all the necessary tests to test its reliability and precision; * Monitor the correct functioning of the system during the referees' test approximately two hours before the match and make the necessary changes in case of problems or imperfections; * Carry out, with the support of the camera control, the colorimetry correction of the Ultra Motion cameras on the goal line (UM1 and UM2), ensuring that they are as similar as possible to the broadcast cameras; * Monitor the correct functioning of the system during the match, intervening, with the help of the onsite news station, in case of problems; * At the end of the match, upload all the data requested by EPTS Remote Support, then help the Video Technical Guarantee (VTG) and GLT Operator with the disassembly activities 🛠Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Essential: * Bright and enterprising with excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills * Proactive, responsible attitude and ability to work on your own initiative with minimum supervision * Time management skills and ability to work in a high pressure, procedural, live broadcast environment * Ability to liaise with stakeholders in a professional and approachable manner with attention to good communication. * Comfortable working in English (reading, writing and speaking) as you may need to interact with colleagues from other countries * Able to adapt to flexible working conditions with irregular working hours Preferred: * A technical background, ideally in IT or Broadcast * An interest in sport and/or sports analysis, with a good knowledge of football and the rules of the game * Experience working with VT/replay technology desirable, or live event / technical production * Prepared to travel locally and, if required, further afield in Italy * Driving licence At Hawk-Eye Innovations, we appreciate and value the importance of potential and growth. Replay Operations Technical Guarantee Location: The majority of work will take place in the Paris Replay Centre. The role can also include regular work at home (Remote Support), as well as at national and international events (mainly domestic league + UEFA and FIFA events), requiring local + worldwide travel to some stadiums. Start Date: August Contract: Full-Time, 12m Fixed Term Salary: 32,250.00 EUR per year As a Replay Operations Technical Guarantee you mainly take part in the operations (on all competitions) at the Paris Replay Center under the direction of the VAR Operations Lead. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Setting up the video review & audio system on Match Day. * Conducting pre match checks of the systems in accordance with standard procedures, according to the check-list. * Operating the technology during the match. (4 to 20 cameras) * Troubleshoot hardware / software issues. * Research and development into new projects and new systems. (Out of Match Day) * Provide feedback after each match. Report any faulty or missing hardware to the hardware manager so the issue can be solved before the next match. * Participate in weekly calls. (Tech calls, feedback, preparation…) * Manage your own working time when working from home to work in the most efficient way possible. * Participate in regular training (RC, stadiums, CNF) with colleagues and referees. * Help keep the Replay Center and the Warehouse in good condition. * Individual ad hoc projects in response to changing needs in the business. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU * A strong technical grounding, ideally educated to a degree level in a relevant subject or work experience to a similar level. * Good knowledge of the VAR project. * Time management skills and ability to work in a high pressure, procedural, live broadcast environment. * Ability to communicate well. Comfortable and confident liaising with stakeholders in a professional and approachable manner. * Ability to take ownership of issues, and find workable and pragmatic solutions to tech challenges. Problem solving oriented. * Experience working in large-scale technical projects or installations and working to deadlines is beneficial. * Strong knowledge of football, especially French, and a more general interest in sport. * Fluent in French and English. Signalement de tout matériel défectueux ou manquant au responsable du matériel afin que le problème soit résolu avant le match suivant. * Participation aux réunions hebdomadaires (réunions techniques, retours d'expérience, préparation, etc.). * Gestion autonome du temps de travail en télétravail pour optimiser l'efficacité. * Participation à des formations régulières (au centre de visionnage, dans les stades, au CNF) avec les collègues et les arbitres. * Contribution au maintien en bon état du centre de visionnage et de l'entrepôt. * Projets individuels ponctuels pour répondre aux besoins évolutifs de l'activité. CE QUE NOUS ATTENDONS DE VOUS * Solides bases techniques ; idéalement, une formation de niveau supérieur dans un domaine pertinent ou une expérience professionnelle équivalente. * Bonne connaissance du projet VAR. * Sens de l'organisation et capacité à travailler sous pression, dans le respect des procédures et en environnement de diffusion en direct. * Bonnes compétences en communication. Aisance et assurance dans les échanges avec les différentes parties prenantes, avec une attitude professionnelle et accessible. * Capacité à prendre en main les problèmes et à trouver des solutions pragmatiques et viables aux défis techniques. * Une expérience des projets ou installations techniques de grande envergure et du respect des délais serait un atout. * Solide connaissance du football (en particulier français) et intérêt plus général pour le sport. * Maîtrise courante du français et de l'anglais.
