What you'll be doing: As a vital part of our central finance function, you'll be at the heart of WPP's Group reporting function, working on complex and exciting projects. You'll gain exposure to a wide range of areas, including: * Play a key role in our core functions: This includes impairment assessments, acquisition and disposal accounting, financial instruments, investments, leasing, and more, ensuring WPP's financial statements are accurate and compliant with IFRS. * Master the art of consolidation: Wrangle data from our global network of companies, navigating multiple currencies and jurisdictions to create a cohesive financial picture. * Drive process improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance our reporting processes, making us more efficient and effective. * Influence senior leadership: Prepare critical financial information for senior management, providing insights and analysis that drive key decisions. * Be a compliance champion: Ensure adherence to WPP's accounting policies and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, safeguarding the integrity of our financial reporting. * Be part of a great team: We have a high performing team with a positive culture centred around collaboration, teamwork and supporting each other.  What you'll need: * Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CA) with at least one year of post-qualification experience, preferably in a listed (ideally UK premium listed) environment. * Experience navigating the complexities of large, multinational organisations. * Big 4 public accounting experience is a plus. * In-depth knowledge of IFRS. * Sharp analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to make sound judgments under pressure. * A proactive, self-starter attitude with a thirst for learning and a passion for problem-solving. * Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across the WPP network. * Advanced Excel skills   Who you are: You're open: We are inclusive and collaborative; we encourage the free exchange of ideas; we respect and celebrate diverse views. You will work in a team that manages the P&L and Balance Sheet to deliver the financial plan, helps the business to make strategic financial decisions, challenges to improve performance, and owns the end-to-end financials and financial controls for your business area. The role covers all aspects of financial performance and planning.  The right candidate will enjoy supporting and challenging the business across new initiatives, love to build business cases, present and debate investment choices and be comfortable with both digging into data to deliver insights and thinking about broader strategic choices. 🔑You’ll play a key role by… * Being the single point of contact between the business and finance - you will have an opportunity to work senior leaders in driving commercial projects, analysing performance of existing products and participating in day to day support of the business. * Diving deep into the data - looking for trends, opportunities and stories that can be used in improving our profitability and growth. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Rather than a long checklist, here's what success in this role looks like: * Own key financial planning and analysis processes — partnering with teams across the business to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning * Build and maintain financial models that support strategic decision-making and business growth planning * Analyse company performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying key drivers and explaining variances clearly to leadership * Prepare concise financial reporting for leadership teams, translating data into actionable insights that drive decisions * Support monthly and quarterly financial close processes from an FP&A perspective, and assist with scenario modelling and investment analysis for strategic initiatives * Identify trends, risks, and opportunities across the business as the company scales * Assist with financial materials for board meetings, investor presentations, and financing discussions ABOUT YOU: We're more interested in how you think and work than in a perfect CV.
