The role We're hiring a Senior Data Engineer to build and maintain data pipelines and platform infrastructure for our clients. You'll work with modern tooling, lead technical delivery, and help shape our data engineering practice. What you'll do: Design and develop data pipelines. Build and maintain dbt transformation models. Work with Azure or similar data services. Manage infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or equivalent). Implement data quality, monitoring, and CI/CD for data workflows Collaborate with analysts, architects, and client stakeholders Apply AI/ML and GenAI techniques to data platforms — from automation and intelligent pipelines to LLM-powered tooling and agentic workflows Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical direction What we're looking for: 5–10 years of data engineering experience Consulting experience — comfortable in client-facing roles, delivering on engagements Deep expertise in Azure cloud data services or similar (AWS, GCP). Strong proficiency with Databricks and Apache Spark or similar (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift etc). Advanced SQL and Python skills Experience with Scala for Spark development Proficiency in dbt (or equivalent transformation frameworks) Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, or similar) Solid understanding of data modelling and warehouse design Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) — multi-cloud familiarity valued Interest and experience in AI/ML and GenAI — LLMs, intelligent automation, agentic workflows, or MLOps Fluent English (Swedish a plus) What we offer: Start: August/September, 2026 (or by agreement) Type: Full-time, permanent (tillsvidare) Location: Solna, Stockholm

The role: As a Senior Data Engineer, you will design and build scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure that power Smart SMS features, including SMS categorization, fraud detection, spam intelligence, and AI-driven capabilities. You will work closely with Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and Product teams to develop robust data platforms, enable feature engineering for ML models, and deliver reliable datasets that drive product insights and decision-making for over a million daily users. What you'll do: * Maintain and improve the ingestion pipeline to reliably deliver billions of events daily within defined SLAs * Provide support for all teams in building and optimizing their complex pipelines * Work closely with other teams to identify pain points and problems around the platform * Develop new tools and frameworks to improve the data platform * Facilitate a company-wide, data-driven culture * Work in close collaboration with data scientists and data analysts to help support their work going into production * Work on large-scale projects such as building an ML platform and streaming use cases * Set up best practices and processes around software and data development What you bring in: * Experience working with an orchestration tool (e.g., Airflow) * Experience working with large data sets * Experience building complex ETL pipelines * Experience working with cloud providers such as GCP * Strong programming skills in Spark with Scala and Python * Experience working with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Git * Strong understanding of software engineering practices and principles * Excellent problem-solving and communication skills * Self-motivated with a proven ability to take initiative to own and solve problems as they come up It would be great if you also have: * Experience working with messaging systems like Kafka * Knowledge of Kubernetes * Hands-on experience with any streaming platform * Experience managing a data warehouse in BigQuery or Redshift What we offer:  We support growth through learning resources, leadership programs, mentoring, and real hands-on work.
