Sparta is the next-generation commodity trading platform.
We give trading desks the clarity, control, and collaboration they need to move faster and trade smarter.

Our people are the driving force behind everything we do. At Sparta, you’ll be trusted to take ownership, backed by a team who

Talent Acquisition Partner- Tech
We're looking for a technically minded, commercially sharp Talent Acquisition Partner to own Product and Engineering hiring at
Sparta. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who lives and breathes technical recruiting — someone who understands
engineers and product managers, knows how to find, engage, assess and vet them, and wants to build something from the ground up in
a fast-moving scale-up.
You'll own end-to-end tech recruitment across Engineering and Product, partnering directly with our CTO, CPO, and VP of
Engineering. You'll deliver on live roles while also building the pipelines, networks, and employer brand presence that puts
Sparta on the map in the tech talent community. This isn't a maintenance role- it's a builder role.
We're keen for this role to be based in London, Barcelona or Madrid, spending time with our Engineering & Product team in the
office 2 - 3 days a week.

People who understand the mission don't need to be managed.
Make them, ship, iterate. Perfection is the enemy of efficiency. Bias for action means moving before you have all the answers, but
it isn't recklessness. The rule: tell the rest of us what you did, what changed, what you learned.
But solutions without problems are opinions, and opinions don't move customers, markets, or teammates. The goal is to find what's
true, not to win the room. If your idea gets killed because a better one shows up, that's the system working.

ABOUT US Legora is redefining how legal work gets done. Not built for lawyers, built with them. We work alongside the world’s best legal teams, who expect excellence, precision, and speed, and we hold ourselves to the same bar. Our AI-native workspace lets legal professionals move faster, think more clearly, and operate with sharper precision. By analysing thousands of documents in minutes and powering end-to-end workflows, we cut through complexity, teams can focus on what matters: judgment, strategy, and outcomes. 1,000+ customers across 50+ countries trust us, including Cleary Gottlieb, Goodwin, Linklaters, White & Case, Dentons, and Barclays. We’ve scaled to $100M+ in ARR, with teams across Europe, North America and APAC, and continue to expand through acquisitions including Qura, Walter AI and Graceview. We partner with world-class performers: including Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees, Ludvig Åberg (and his caddie), and campaigns featuring Jude Law. Joining Legora means three things. * We lean in: ownership over titles, outcomes over intentions. * We fight for excellence: high standards, direct, ego-free feedback. * We grow together: as a team and with our customers. Mission before ego. Everyone contributes. No one coasts. If you’re driven by impact, pace, and raising the bar. This is the place. The Role Legora has grown from 40 to more than 600 people in 18 months. During that time, we reached $100M ARR, tripled our valuation in five months, and continued expanding into new markets around the world. Our Talent Acquisition function is now entering its next chapter. The processes, standards, and hiring approach that support our next phase of growth are being built today, which you’ll play a significant part in. You'll work closely with senior leaders from day one and play a key role in shaping how Legora hires and scales. What you’ll do Product velocity depends on having the right engineering and technical talent in place, fast, and at a high bar. As a Talent Partner, you will own that directly. You are not a support function for the Engineering, Product, Design (EPD) team. You bring genuine craft to how technical hiring gets done, and you're accountable for the quality and pace of the people who build Legora's product. You will own end-to-end hiring across EPD in UK&I, working closely with senior leaders who are genuinely invested in recruiting, trusted to make high-impact decisions on hiring and team composition. Specifically, you will: * Own full-cycle recruitment across UK&I, partnering closely with hiring managers to define role scope, success profiles, and hiring strategies aligned to business priorities. * Help shape how Talent operates at Legora, contributing beyond hiring to process design, programs, tooling, and broader People initiatives. * Build and nurture proactive talent pipelines for critical and future hiring needs, ensuring we stay ahead of demand rather than reacting to it. * Run structured, data-informed hiring processes that balance quality, pace, and consistency while maintaining a high bar for talent. * Deliver an exceptional candidate experience from first conversation through to offer, acting as a trusted and credible ambassador for Legora throughout. What you bring You understand that hiring decisions are business decisions, and you hold yourself accountable to the same outcomes as the teams you hire for. You're hands-on, sharp, and trusted by senior leaders to shape teams that win. We're looking for: * 5+ years in talent acquisition in a high-growth environment, startup, scaleup, or VC-backed company, with meaningful depth hiring EPD talent. * A proven track record hiring high-performing EPD talent across the seniority levels that matter most at this stage of growth. * The ability to hold a credible conversation with an engineering or product leader about what strong looks like. You understand the difference between a good CV and a good hire in technical roles, and you don't lower the bar when searches get hard. * Experience partnering with senior stakeholders on hiring strategy and team build-out, not just executing briefs, but shaping them. * The ability to run multiple complex searches without losing quality or pace. * Comfortable in ambiguity with a bias toward action. You build a structure where none exists and move without waiting for perfect conditions. * Collaborative but direct. You influence and challenge senior stakeholders when needed, and you drive decisions rather than defer them. Legora is an Equal Opportunity Employer At Legora, we believe great teams are built on diversity of thought and experience. We’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer and committed to creating an inclusive, high-performance culture where everyone can do their best work. We welcome people of all backgrounds and don’t discriminate based on race, color, religion, national origin, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
ABOUT TORTUS AI At TORTUS we work with clinicians and hospitals to provide clinically safe and reliable AI. We use speech-to-text and LLM models to infer information about a patient visit and provide verified documentation and actions, eliminating the documentation burden that costs clinicians hours every day. We've recorded over 2 million consultations. Clients include London Ambulance Service and a large proportion of UK GP surgeries. ABOUT THE ROLE We are building a people function from the ground up. The foundations are in place; we have an HRiS, an ATS, a working employer brand, values, processes, and most importantly a talented and engaged team, and now we need someone to own and accelerate it. This is a standalone People Lead role reporting directly to the CEO. You will be the primary People Partner for the leadership team, owning the full employee lifecycle from talent acquisition through to performance, development, and engagement. This is a junior Head-of-level position: senior enough to set direction yet hands-on enough to do the work. WHERE WE ARE, AND WHERE YOU COME IN Over the past several months we've worked with a consultant to establish the core infrastructure: basic tooling, a talent acquisition approach across our three hire types (AI/technical, clinical, and commercial), and early employer brand foundations. We've run our first values workshop and are mid-way through defining the behaviours and embedding plan that will make our culture explicit and durable. What we need now is someone to take ownership of this, running the ongoing talent pipeline, deepening our people partnering capability, and building the performance and development frameworks that will support us as we scale through Series A and beyond. WHAT YOU'LL DO Talent & Acquisition * Partner with hiring managers to deliver an end-to-end recruitment across that allows us to hire great talent * Build and maintain our employer brand, leveraging our mission and clinical impact as a talent differentiator * Use selective agency and search partnerships for niche or senior hires People Partnering * Act as the primary people partner to the CEO, CTO and leadership team, advising on org design, team dynamics, and people decisions * Support managers on performance conversations, capability development, and team health * Be the go-to for employee relations, ensuring a fair and consistent approach Performance & Development * Develop and embed a performance framework suited to a high-growth, mission-driven environment * Build out manager capability, coaching and training our growing leadership layer * Create career frameworks and progression pathways that help us retain great people Culture & Engagement * Complete and embed our values work, turning the framework into lived behaviours * Run engagement initiatives and track sentiment, acting on what you find * Champion inclusion and psychological safety across a genuinely multi-disciplinary team (clinicians, engineers, AI scientists) People Operations * Own our people policies and ensure they are current, compliant, and accessible * Manage the people calendar: reviews, pay cycles, onboarding, offboarding * Use data and reporting to inform decisions and demonstrate people ROI to the board WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR * Solid generalist background across the full people and talent lifecycle; you understand how the pieces connect * Genuine depth in HR business partnering and talent management; these are your spikes * Experience in a high-growth environment (Series A–C stage, ideally sub-100 people), where you've had to build as well as run * Comfortable operating as the sole senior people professional; you don't need a team around you to deliver * Used to working directly with founders and C-suite, influencing and bringing structure to ambiguity * Strong written and verbal communication; able to translate people strategy into things leaders and managers actually do NICE TO HAVE * Background in software, AI, healthtech, or another regulated sector * Familiarity with the talent landscape for technical (AI/ML) and clinical hiring * Experience with HRIS optimisation WHAT DOES WILD SUCCESS LOOK LIKE? In 12–18 months, TORTUS has a talent pipeline we're proud of, a performance culture that engineers and clinicians genuinely value, and a set of values that are visible in how we hire, promote, and lead. WHERE DOES THIS ROLE TAKE YOU? As TORTUS scales through Series A, this role grows with a team beneath it. The intersection of AI, clinical care, and fast growth is one of the most interesting talent environments in tech right now, and your work here will shape the kind of company we become. Equal opportunities TORTUS is an equal opportunities employer. We're building a genuinely multi-disciplinary team, clinicians, engineers, and AI scientists, and we know our best work comes from bringing different perspectives to the same problem. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation. Every application is reviewed by a member of our team, and hiring decisions are made on merit, skills, and experience. Right to work in the UK is a legal requirement for this role, separate from and not a measure of a candidate's suitability, see above for more detail.
