Lendable is on a mission to build the world's best technology to help people get credit and save money. We're building one of the
world’s leading fintech companies and are off to a strong start:
So far, we’ve rebuilt the Big Three consumer finance products from scratch: loans, credit cards and car finance. We get money into
our customers’ hands in minutes instead of days.
We’re growing fast, and there’s a lot more to do: we’re going after the two biggest Western markets (UK and US) where trillions
worth of financial products are held by big banks with dated systems and painful processes.
1. Take ownership across a broad remit. You are trusted to make decisions that drive a material impact on the direction and
success of Lendable from day 1
2. Work in small teams of exceptional people, who are relentlessly resourceful to solve problems and find smarter solutions than
the status quo
3. Build the best technology in-house, using new data sources, machine learning and AI to make machines do the heavy lifting
Reports to: Operations Manager (US Cards & Loans)
As a Team Lead in Customer Operations, you will lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 10 front-line agents responsible
for delivering exceptional service and support to our US customers, across our Cards product. You will ensure the consistent
achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs), use data and insight to foster continuous improvement, and champion initiatives
that streamline processes and improve customer experiences. You will dedicate a substantial portion of your time (up to 30%) to
identifying and supporting process improvements, leveraging frontline insights to inform automation, digital enhancements, and
re-engineering of complex workflows. You will play a pivotal role developing your team, managing risk, ensuring compliance, and
collaborating cross-functionally to deliver the best possible customer and business outcomes.

ABOUT US Humaans is building the next generation of infrastructure for the workplace; software designed for companies that are scaling fast, operating globally, and pushing into new boundaries. What started as a system of record has evolved into a broader platform for operating people globally. With Athena, our agentic AI layer, Humaans moves beyond data management into intelligent orchestration, connecting workflows across HR, IT, Finance, and Operations so organisations can act faster and with greater confidence, redefining how work gets done. We work with ambitious teams across Europe and the US, from AI-native companies like Lovable, Poolside, Fyxer AI, and Tandem Health, to established, high-growth organisations scaling internationally and through acquisition, including Quantexa, Sellpy, Manychat, Gigs, Croud, and Threecolts. These teams don’t buy software for features, they buy leverage. The ability to run faster, cleaner, and with more control as complexity compounds. To date, we’ve raised $20m in venture funding from some of the most respected founders, operators, and funds in technology: Lachy Groom (Physical Intelligence), Stewart Butterfield (Slack), Tobias Lütke (Shopify), Dylan Field (Figma), Jeff Weiner (LinkedIn), Claire Johnson (Stripe), Oliver Jay (OpenAI), Jay Simmons (Bond) as well as Y Combinator, Moonfire, Frontline Ventures, Pathlight Ventures, and Exor. If you have massive ambition and want to work on a hard problem, with a small team that moves fast, at a moment when the category is genuinely up for grabs - this is it. Our Sales team is looking for a high-calibre Sales Development Team Leader to own and develop our outbound function. You'll be the person who turns a group of hungry sales associates into a precision pipeline machine, setting the standard, building the playbook, and coaching the team to consistently hit and exceed targets. AI is how your team moves faster than the competition: better research, sharper sequences, smarter prioritisation. You'll be expected to know how to use it and how to make sure your team does too. This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll be close to the work, running call reviews, shaping sequences, holding the bar on quality, and creating the conditions for your team to grow fast. You'll report into our Head of RevOps and work closely with the AE team to ensure a tight handoff and strong pipeline conversion. If you take genuine pride in building an exceptional team, have strong opinions about what good outbound looks like, and want to do it at a company where the product is genuinely differentiated, we'd love to hear from you. Humaans is at the stage where the decisions you make now shape the company for years. You'll be building an AI-native sales development function, defining what it looks like, how it operates, and who it becomes. That work will compound for the next decade. Focus/Ownership You'll own the outbound sales function end-to-end: team performance, pipeline contribution, process, and development. You'll set the outbound strategy, refining the playbook, perfecting ICP targeting, and using AI-assisted tooling to build sequences that adapt faster than a human-only process can. You'll coach and develop your team through structured 1:1s, call reviews, and live deal support, creating a culture of continuous improvement and high performance. You'll work closely with AEs and Revenue Operations to ensure strong pipeline quality, healthy conversion rates, and a seamless handoff process. You'll use data and AI-powered analytics to drive decisions, tracking activity metrics, pipeline contribution, and conversion rates, and using AI tooling to surface patterns faster and act on them sooner. You'll recruit, onboard, and ramp new sales associates, and build the foundations that allow the team to scale with the business. Requirements 5+ years in outbound sales, with at least 2 years managing or leading a BDR or SDR team in a B2B SaaS environment. A track record of building pipeline consistently and coaching others to do the same, you know what good looks like and you can teach it. Deep familiarity with outbound tooling and sequencing platforms (including Clay, Claude Code, Lemlist, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Prospeo, internal tools and much more), including how to layer AI features into how the team operates day-to-day. Strong analytical instincts, comfortable using data to diagnose underperformance and make the case for process changes. Has built or refined an outbound workflow using AI and can speak to what changed in output quality, speed, or conversion. Experience working in a high-growth, VC-backed environment where the pace is high and the playbook is still being written. A coaching-first mentality: you measure your success by what your team produces, not what you do individually. Clear, direct communicator who can influence up, down, and across the organisation. This is an in-person role. Our team comes together in the office Monday through Thursday, while most of the team collaborates in person on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. PACKAGE & BENEFITS Early stage startups can be messy – we know that. We're putting effort in providing you with the best employee experience and a quality driven environment in exchange for trusting us. * Market-leading compensation that reflects your value * 25 days paid time off each year plus public holidays * Share Options with 5-year exercise window so you don’t feel pressure to exercise if you leave * Free Thursday lunches at HQ, quarterly team events, and company offsites. * Top tier private coverage for health, vision and dental care * A new MacBook and tools you need to do your best work * Enhanced parental leave with up to 16 weeks for primary and 4 weeks for secondary * Learning & development budget WHY JOIN HUMAANS TODAY? HR tech is having its AI moment and we’re positioned to own it. Humaans started as a next-gen HRIS taking on large incumbents in a massive market. We’ve since evolved into something even bigger: an AI platform that sits across workforce data and automates the operational layer of HR entirely; the natural progression of what we’ve been building toward. The product is highly differentiated. It’s built around a structured workforce data model that makes AI reliable in an HR context, something no one else has gotten right. Customers notice the difference immediately. We’re backed by Y Combinator, Lachy Groom, Moonfire, Frontline Ventures, and operators who’ve built some of the most consequential software companies of the last decade: the founders of Slack, Figma, and Shopify, and Asana’s former CRO and Head of OpenAI International. We’re a small team with an unapologetically high bar. It shows up in the product, in how we communicate, and in the standards we hold each other to. OUR COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY At Humaans we’re looking for genuinely good people that are transparent and emphatic. We’re committed to providing equal opportunities, a diverse and inclusive work environment, and ensuring a fair interview process for everyone. You’re welcome to apply no matter your gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, civil or family status, age, disability, or race. PRIVACY NOTICE We care about your privacy. When you apply for a role at Humaans, we’ll collect and process your personal data as part of our recruitment process. We’re on a mission to make migration easy. We started building Marshmallow in 2017. Since then, we’ve grown from 3 to 700+ people, gained unicorn status, raised ~£140M over three funding rounds, turned profitable, insured millions of drivers and lent millions in car loans. But we’re only just getting started. Our goal is to become one of the largest financial services providers in the world. Over the next 10 years we’ll grow exponentially, not only by scaling our existing products, but also by building new ones. To achieve our goals we need incredibly ambitious, commercially driven people who never settle for ‘good enough’. Marshmallowers are hungry for autonomy and ownership, and would rather improve than coast. Everyone raises standards and has an impact, with a focus on collective success over self-interest. We’ve created an environment where curious, tenacious people win and grow together. If that sounds motivating, this could be the place for you. ABOUT THE TEAM We defend Marshmallow against fraudulent activity and help protect the company! Fraudulent claims can result in us losing money, which can drive up the premium prices for all of the other customers. We’re here to stop that, making sure Marshmallow remains affordable and accessible for everyone. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING * Leading, coaching and managing the performance of a team of Claims Fraud Investigators and Intel Analysts, supporting their progression. * Acting as the final escalation point for the most complex, high-value and organised fraud investigations. * Owning the Claims Fraud KPIs, setting and evolving the team’s investigation strategy. * Running quality assurance across the team, using outcomes to drive consistency and improve decision-making. * Owning recruitment, onboarding and development planning for the team. * Representing Claims Fraud as a subject matter expert across the business, building strong relationships with wider teams. * Ensuring the team’s compliance with FCA requirements, Consumer Duty, vulnerable customer handling and GDPR obligations. * Partnering with other teams to increase the detection of potentially fraudulent claims, ensuring the right signals and alerts are being generated and acted on. * Working with Product Owners to drive process and technology improvements that reduce investigation cycle time and improve the customer experience. We offer a flexible hybrid work model, with the team coming together at our London office once every two weeks. YOUR EXPERTISE * Experience leading a team, including driving and managing performance. * Motor Claims Fraud experience. * Experience using data, insight and evidence to make confident decisions and set priorities. * Nice to have: experience in Fraud Intelligence. WHO YOU ARE * You build capability in others through clear, actionable feedback and lean into difficult conversations. * You look ahead to future risks, opportunities and ways of improving team effectiveness, using data and insight to set priorities and solve problems without needing close guidance. * You propose and drive bold, practical process and strategy changes, trying new ways to solve problems and continually raising standards. * You role model low-ego leadership — giving credit, being open about what you don’t know and grounding choices in insight and context rather than personal bias. * You create momentum with a high sense of urgency, moving work forward quickly in a way that is clear, collaborative and constructive for others. PERKS & BENEFITS * Bonus scheme designed to reward high performance * Private medical insurance with Vitality, mental health support with Oliva * Personal learning budget and 2 dedicated L&D days a year * Monthly flexible benefits budget to spend as you choose * 25 days holiday plus bank holidays * 4 weeks Work From Anywhere per year OUR PROCESS 1. Initial call with our Talent Acquisition Partner - 30 minutes 2. Technical interview with two Senior Managers from our Claims Department, with a technical task included - 60 minutes 3. Culture interview with our Head of Claims and Third Party Operations - 60 minutes We review every application and will always let you know the outcome, though we're unable to provide individual feedback at application stage. #LI-PT1 Diversity of thought We know the best ideas come from having different perspectives in the room - and we're committed to hiring fairly, regardless of background, identity or experience. If you see yourself in this role, we'd encourage you to apply.
