We are looking for a Frontend DevOps Engineer to bridge the gap between frontend development and DevOps practices. You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and improving CI/CD pipelines, as well as ensuring high-quality frontend testing and delivery workflows. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for frontend applications using GitHub Actions * Optimize build, test, and deployment workflows to improve speed, reliability, and developer experience * Collaborate with frontend engineers to integrate automated testing into the development lifecycle * Improve test coverage, reliability, and execution time across unit, integration, and end-to-end tests * Establish testing verification processes to ensure code quality before deployment * Monitor and troubleshoot CI/CD pipeline failures and deployment issues * Maintain version control workflows and best practices for frontend teams * Continuously evaluate and introduce tools to enhance automation and testing efficiency WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR * Strong experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipeline design * Solid understanding of frontend build tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite, or similar) * Experience with frontend testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Jest, Cypress, or similar) * Experience with scripting languages (eg. THE WOW As a Platform DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and operating critical platform services that power our applications and customer experiences. This includes managing and optimizing our CDN, Cloud Edge functions, DNS, WAF, and IIS-based applications, while ensuring high availability, scalability, and security across our environments. You will bring deep technical expertise in AWS cloud services, infrastructure as code, and automation tooling, with a focus on enabling reliable, performant, and secure delivery of applications at the edge. Collaboration with developers, security engineers, and infrastructure teams will be essential to align platform capabilities with organizational goals. Your contributions will directly support our vision to transition workloads from on-premise infrastructure to modern, cloud-native and edge-optimized platforms. PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AT BETSSON GROUP Our Product Development organisation is truly Global with cross functional teams spanning 6 Tech Hubs – Malta, Budapest, Stockholm, Tallinn, Malaga and Athens. With nearly 600 strong professionals, the Product Development organisation is spear-headed by our CTO-CPO with all our talented Area Teams working together. A TASTER OF WHAT YOU WILL BE INVOLVED WITH * Platform Ownership – Manage and optimize CDN, DNS, WAF, edge functions (NodeJS), and IIS applications, ensuring high reliability, security, and performance. * Cloud & Infrastructure as Code – Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure using Terraform, with a focus on scalability, repeatability, and GitOps best practices. * Automation & Configuration Management – Build automation workflows using Ansible, and Git to improve deployment velocity and reduce manual effort. * Cloud Native Transformation – Support the organization’s shift from on-premise to AWS cloud-native workloads, introducing edge-first strategies where appropriate. * Kubernetes Integration – Collaborate with container platform teams to integrate workloads with Kubernetes where needed, ensuring seamless connectivity with edge services. * Collaboration & Guidance – Work closely with developers, architects, and security engineers to integrate WAF, CDN, and DNS changes into CI/CD pipelines and delivery processes. * Monitoring & Reliability – Define and track metrics, logs, and traces across platform services to proactively detect issues, optimize performance, and improve resilience. * Continuous Improvement – Stay current with industry trends in cloud, CDN, and edge technologies; recommend and implement best practices to evolve the platform. YOU'RE GOOD AT * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, technical degree beneficial. * AWS Cloud practitioner or higher would be beneficial. * Proven hands-on experience with: * AWS services (CloudFront, Lambda@Edge, Route 53, WAF, EC2, S3, IAM, etc.) * Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) * Git/GitOps workflows * Kubernetes (good understanding, with ability to integrate workloads) * Configuration management (Ansible) * IIS application management * Scripting (JavaScript/NodeJS preferred) * Strong understanding of platform reliability, networking fundamentals (DNS, CDN routing, edge services), and application delivery. * Experience in implementing secure, scalable, and automated infrastructure solutions. * Knowledge of observability pillars (logs, metrics, tracing) and proactive monitoring practices. * Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to new technologies and evolving requirements. * Familiarity with DevOps principles and ITIL best practices is a plus. * Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex technical issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, vendors, and partners.
