The Senior FP&A Analyst owns Behavox's core financial model — its architecture, the accounting beneath it, and the forecasts and
analysis the company plans and decides by. The role exists to change decisions, not report them: it turns the numbers into the
choices leadership actually faces. It reads and integrates budgets into the model, but does not run the budgeting cycle.
The same analyst builds the valuations, scenarios, and pro-forma models behind every acquisition — evaluating targets, running
diligence, and folding closed deals into a single consolidated view. This work is periodic and must be carried alone when it
arrives; the steady state is the operating model and SaaS forecasting.
This is a high-autonomy role that works without a detailed brief and sets the modeling standard others build on. It is accountable
for the accuracy and integrity of the numbers, and for turning them into recommendations sharp enough to act on — the downside
case included, not just the point estimate — for senior leadership, the board, and investors. It pressure-tests the assumptions
behind every result, works fluently with modern tooling and AI, and compounds that edge by learning relentlessly. Its influence
comes from the rigor and reach of the analysis, not from authority: it owns the model and the truth it tells, not the decisions
made from it.
1. Financial Model & Accounting Foundations — Knows how an integrated three-statement and operating model fits together, and the
accounting that holds it up — SaaS revenue recognition and cost treatment included. Understands exactly how the company's
budgets are built, and folds them into the model.
2. Forecasting & SaaS Unit Economics — Knows both bottom-up short-term forecasting and driver-based long-term modeling, and the
SaaS metrics that actually reveal performance. Knows what moves each one and which lever changes it — not just how to report
it.
3. Mergers, Acquisitions & Integration — Knows how to value an acquisition and how to fold it into one consolidated model:
purchase accounting, combined-entity projections, and the mechanics that make or break the integration.
4. Business & Commercial Acumen — Knows in depth how the business and every function make money — the revenue drivers, the cost
structure, the operating levers — and spots a number that doesn't add up on sight.
5. Financial Systems & AI Tooling — Commands Google Sheets and Excel, and tracks the AI and automation landscape closely enough
to know where it is trustworthy and where it isn't.

of every output and the integrity of every assumption.

4. Metrics Analysis & Business Partnering — Diagnoses why the metrics are moving and which lever changes them, pressure-tests the
assumptions behind every result, and hands the decision-maker a recommendation they can act on.

About the Role The Head of Finance reports to the Chief Operating Officer and leads the finance function for a global business generating over $50M in revenue, with a growth trajectory toward $100M over the next 3–5 years. The finance function must scale with that trajectory, built to investor-grade standard and ahead of the curve the business is on. The role is accountable for financial planning, accounting, reporting, treasury, compliance, controls, and investor-facing outputs across a multi-currency, multi-jurisdiction environment. The role serves as the senior financial advisor to the CEO and COO on forecasting, liquidity, capital structure, financing strategy, investment decisions, and growth planning. Behavox has a mature M&A strategy in place as one of several growth levers, and the Head of Finance is expected to bring strong hands-on financial modelling capability to acquisition evaluation, financing analysis, scenario planning, and post-transaction financial integration planning. The Head of Finance is also accountable for building a scalable, AI-native finance function. This includes managing the finance team, maturing financial systems and processes, implementing end-to-end automation, integrating AI-enabled workflows, and improving the speed, accuracy, control, and maintainability of finance operations. What You'll Bring 1. Enterprise FP&A and financial model architecture – Knowledge of forecasting, budgeting, scenario planning, revenue planning, cash flow modelling, and investment analysis. Applies this knowledge to support executive decisions, M&A evaluation, financing strategy, and board, investor, and lender reporting. 2. Capital structure and treasury – Knowledge of financing instruments, liquidity planning, banking relationships, debt facilities, covenants, FX exposure, and cash controls. Applies this knowledge to support growth while managing funding risk, timing, and cost of capital. 3. Global accounting and multi-jurisdictional reporting – Knowledge of accounting standards, revenue recognition, consolidation, intercompany accounting, transfer pricing, and financial controls across jurisdictions. Finance operating model and team leadership – Knowledge of how to structure finance teams, processes, systems, workflows, access controls, documentation, and operating cadences. AI-native finance systems and automation – Knowledge of finance systems, workflow automation, AI-enabled tooling, agentic processes, and data flows across financial operations. Applies this knowledge to identify, assess, and implement technology that improves accuracy, efficiency, control, and scalability. What You'll Do 1. Finance function leadership – Leads the finance team and owns the finance operating model across FP&A, accounting, reporting, treasury, controls, compliance, and investor relations. Holds ultimate accountability for output quality, role clarity, control discipline, and scalability. 2. Financial modelling and strategic analysis – Personally owns the quality and logic of the company’s core financial models. Reviews, challenges, and helps the team refine models used for forecasting, M&A, financing, scenario planning, and executive decision-making. 3. Budgeting, revenue planning, and performance reporting – Drives the annual budget, re-forecasting cadence, and management reporting process. Ensures Sales, RevOps, People, and Finance inputs are translated into controlled planning outputs, including pipeline-to-revenue bridges, personnel budgets, non-personnel budgets, commissions accruals, opex and capex. 4. Treasury and capital planning oversight – Oversees cash forecasting, liquidity planning, banking relationships, costs controls, payment controls, debt facilities, covenant reporting, FX exposure, and financing analysis. Provides senior judgement on capital structure, financing timing, and cost of capital. 5. Close, audit, compliance, and automation governance – Holds ultimate accountability for close, consolidation, audit readiness, statutory compliance, accounting policy application, transfer pricing coordination, and investor reporting. Ensures the team has the systems, controls, automation, documentation, and advisor support required to execute consistently. Reports to: Head of Financial Control Location: Montreal Status: Permanent Job purpose: The Financial Controller (North America) is responsible for overseeing all local statutory reporting, management reporting, and financial control activities for the Foundation’s entities in North America (currently US and Canada). The role ensures that month‑end close, year‑end audit, and all compliance obligations are delivered accurately, on time, and to a high standard. This role plays a critical part in strengthening financial governance, ensuring reporting accuracy, and driving operational excellence across multiple jurisdictions. A key focus is to optimise, standardise, and automate financial control processes to enhance internal controls, reduce manual effort, and support timely, high‑quality reporting. The Financial Controller will design and monitor SLAs and KPIs to ensure consistent delivery across the region. Principal accountabilities: Statutory, Tax & Management Reporting * Lead statutory reporting for entities in the North America, ensuring compliance with local regulatory and accounting requirements. * Manage the month‑end close process for all four entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery. * Produce accurate monthly and quarterly management reporting packs, including variance analysis and commentary. * Support group consolidation activities through accurate local submissions and reconciliations. * Assist the Global Tax Manager with the preparation and coordination of GST/QST rebate claims, ensuring accuracy and timely submission. * Support ongoing correspondence with Canadian tax authorities, including responding to queries, tracking notices, and maintaining documentation. * Manage and maintain online tax platforms, ensuring filings, submissions and records are kept up to date. * Provide support to the Global Tax Manager on local tax compliance matters as they arise. Audit & Compliance * Lead the annual external audit process for each entity, ensuring all schedules are prepared, queries resolved, and deadlines met. * Ensure ongoing compliance with local reporting requirements, tax regulations, company law, and internal finance policies. * Maintain strong financial controls and ensure all reconciliations, journals, and processes adhere to audit and governance standards. Process Optimisation & Automation * Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and standardise reporting and control processes across countries. * Work with Finance Systems, IT, and global finance colleagues to enhance ERP usage, reporting tools, and workflow efficiency. * Implement consistent documentation, templates, and control frameworks across the region. Operational Performance & SLA Management * Define and maintain SLAs and KPIs covering reporting timeliness, accuracy, audit readiness, and control performance. * Monitor delivery performance across entities and implement corrective actions where required. * Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on performance, risks, and improvement initiatives. Stakeholder & Cross‑Functional Collaboration * Collaborate closely with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, HR, Finance Operations, and global finance leads to ensure cohesive financial management. * Act as the key finance contact for in‑country teams, external advisors, regulators, and auditors. * Provide technical accounting advice and operational support to local teams and business partners. Qualifications, knowledge & experience: Qualifications * Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or international equivalent). * Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. * Proficiency in English is required for this role, as it is essential for effective communication with colleagues, stakeholders, and clients in the performance of the core duties of this position. Knowledge & experience * Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior financial reporting role covering multi‑entity or multi‑country operations. * Strong technical accounting skills, with experience in IFRS and local GAAPs (preferably USA and Canada jurisdictions). * Demonstrated experience managing month‑end close, statutory reporting, and external audits. * Strong familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools (e.g. Microsoft Business Central). * Prior experience with process improvement, automation initiatives, and internal control enhancement. * Experience working across cultures and time zones, ideally within a global or multinational organisation.
